There is a canon gap for solo 1st Doctor adventures and it is at the end of War Machines - whilst he is waiting for Dodo to recover and return. It is possible he got bored and did a little traveling on his own using the fast return switch to return each time. It is the only time on screen this could have happened as it is the only time he is on his own without companions.
@@chrispy3369 I had considered this, but from recollection the Doctor and Steven split up and the Doctor is visiting some scientist. It's to set up Steven meeting the cleric who is the spitting image of the Doctor. Steven and the audience are meant to assume it is the Doctor in disguise. So I don't think it's credible that just because the Doctor is off screen that he is doing hops in the Tardis, anymore that an explanation the the Doctor is having solo adventures while the companion of the day is sleeping or studying graphology somewhere.
Like how the Sasha Darwin's Master mushroom hi time in Soviet Russia in the middle of spyfall took longer than the entire Third Doctor. they're up because yeah we know there's 350 years between the first and fourth doctor. Third doctor was on Earth so 300 of that probably goes to the second doctor cuz we don't see all the 3rd doctor's companions wither and die. Meaning that while the master spent 70 years with his Russian unit family the doctor only fit50 in his entire third incarnation
You should write a book that exists just to be Canon plaster for why the lupari never showed up in the the tv show whenever the earth was in danger. It could be like one of those hard back books that just reminded you what happened in the show and barley provided much more. Doctor Who: The Dog Reports
That was already covered in one of the Eda as I'm pretty sure some of them talked about the doctors constantly changing origin and the doctor is constantly on Earth so his constantly fluxing timeline can affect it there I literally fixed every plot hole it's all because someone gave an idiot a time machine now let's give a mouse a pancake
The Doctor absolutely did bench a companion once. Eight left Sam at a Greenpeace rally and went off to have a year's worth of adventures with Stacey and Ssard from the Radio Times comics.
I remember we had a convo on Twitter and you shared the concept for your short trip with 6 and Peri in the TARDIS! You ain’t no hack Davis, that shit still straight fire
A framed picture of a future companion the Tardis is a transdimensional time machine occasionally things are out of sync like in the doctor's wife she mentions having future controller if you go deep enough in the 11th Doctor's Tardis you're going to find one with bookshelf than one with crystals
@SteveyTheEx-Eevee That the Doctor wasn't fully himself in Caves of Androzani, he was a werid splinter version of himself getting a second chance being put in the mind of his future self??? Its very bizarre to explain.
Did the great intelligence survive now the Snowman is a prequel to the stuff with the yeti but what about the rest of Series 7 does it go living snowman yetis Wi-Fi literally murder every doctor on every episode ever
Using this for my half hour breaks at work as well for getting sleep, nothing more soothing than canon plastering a 60 year old BBC sci-fi drama for 6+ hours. Anyway, I’m on my break and I’d like to say that knowing a bit more about doctor who made my work day a little better… it didn’t, it got worse, I’m serving all these customers and getting lottery ticket winnings out for them just so they can buy more tickets- and they don’t even know about wilf being frobenshire or however it’s spelt
I always wonder who Susan's parents are. I also wonder if 12 and River ever had children. Knowing River I can totally imagine her leaving and returning seconds after leaving to cover a birth during that 24 years. But also that would mean she had someone else raise their Timelord child. Another thing is the Doctor's daughter traveling the universe and has never been seen in the series again. I can totally imagine the first Doctor accepting Susan is his grandaughter by a child he has not fathered yet, based on time travel out of sequence meetings.
@@Jet-fighter Who wrote that episode? Pun not intended. It just sounds like some mysterious thing the Doctor would say, and how else could they resolve it?
@@gm2407 RTD wrote it, and it was said fairly seriously in a season that references Susan multiple times. So I do think she's genuinely coming back next series.

04.40: I can't tell if all that talk about memes is a joke or not. Do people really think that the word 'meme' is a 21st century invention? It's been around for decades - it just means an idea passed around by non-genetic means. The story is using the word in its classic sense. Apologies if it was a joke (playing dumb, etc), but these days, it's hard to tell...
@@SamyulDavis btw, did you ever listen to the Strevens Gally1 interview that Radio Free Skaro did? No direct confirmation on the "Capaldi was forced out" rumor, but some interesting little statements. "It was always a woman doctor from a get go" vs "the next doctor had to be a female doctor, this was one of Chibnall's conditions for taking the job" vs "we started prepping Jodie's era back in 2016" (when Capaldi announced he was leaving in 2017 and they still said he was staying in early 2017) The second comment can be read as just saying when Capaldi leaves, but the other two suggest they were a bit pushy. Nothing explicit. But just some fuel to the fire.
