  • The Z-Man Paddletail was our lure that we chose to do our '1 Lure Challenge' and we absolutely smacked the speckled trout and landed a nice flounder (fluke). We had to do a flounder (fluke) catch and cook and especially since we also caught speckled trout and weakfish to do a taste test comparison.
Here was the lure we used to film this vid

I don't fish much and when I have time I do Bass fishing, despite having a lot of places to fish here in Jacksonville Fl. I just happened to come across a video of you guys and you blew my mind with how easy you put it on. Yesterday I received a medium Ugly Stick carbon 7' pole and today the Penn Fierce 3 4000 reel and I ordered it at Bass pro shop Z Man among other things that you recommend. Thanks for videos educational and easily explained, God bless you guys!!!
    keep making videos!!!

Jeff...When filleting flounder I'd like to offer another method. At the head make a V from the spine towards the eyes and stomach. Then cut down to the spine from the head to the tail. Then start the fillet from the spine outwards. Instead of one big fillet where you have to worry about getting the knife up and over the spine, the spine allows you to get the knife against the ribs easily.
A little thinner sharper knife makes filleting your fish much easier. I have a wooden handle old Dexter with an 11" high carbon very flexible blade. It makes filleting and skinning a breeze because it lays flat on the ribs and cutting board with very little pressure.

Med action rod? New to the area from Appalachian Mountains in NC and use to nothing but river trout; short ultra light rods. Definitely excited about my new home.

I've got to say, I enjoy your videos but I noticed that you dont bleed out your fish. We always slice across their gills/throat to bleed them out which gives you nice white filets
