Thank you for all of you tutorials and education. When I was young my family always went fishing but when they passed away when I was young I never went back to fishing until we got grandchildren. Now it's time to refresh my skills . Thank you both. I also want to say these tutorials never grow old we are thankful that you do basic refreshing it truly helps .

LOVING THIS STUFF! Thank you! I know it's kinda redundant but if you're looking for vid ideas when you're not fishing, I would love to see a "What's in your tackle box" series. Do a tackle box for crappie, or bass, or bluegill then an all around freshwater tackle box. Then a tackle box for reds, spanish, blue etc then a tackle box for saltwater in general. Everything from weights to leaders. Thanks again! I'm gonna be getting a lot of this stuff.

Love your videos. I did a lot of saltwater fishing up to my teen years (Spot, Croaker, Speckled Trout, Flounder, etc.). Grew up spending my summers on Linkhorn Bay, the Narrows, Broad Bay and Lynnhaven inlet. Also fished the CBBT in my dad's boat (flounder, primarily). Primarily because of your channel, my interest has been re-ignited in saltwater fishing again. I bought a lifetime saltwater license, just spent $50 on starting a saltwater artificial kit at Oceans East last weekend, and did my first surf fishing in 40+ years a couple weeks ago. Caught a spiny puffer and a Roundhead on sand fleas per your video--thanks for that tip. My main limitation is the lack of a boat or kayak, so I could use some tips for places I could wade fish with chest waders. Thanks again--love your channel!

Excellent tutorial, thanks!...isn't the rig with the egg sinker a Carolina rig and the one with a pyramid sinker on a sinker slider a fish finder rig?

Very good explanations. Hey I tried a new to me type of lead last trip down. A frog tongue sinker. I found that they held a little better than the usual pyramid types. I could use 1 oz less weight but it would hold just as good. And I never go fishing in saltwater without at least one gotcha plug! Gold with a red head

What are your thoughts on putting split rings on your jigheads? With the right size split ring it adds a little rattle noise when jigging maybe and you don't have to use a loop knot.

My wife's favorite rig in all situations is the fish finder rig (I always called them Carolina rigs - pretty sure they are the same thing). On the FL forgotten coast, they are usually pretty good in the surf unless the rip current is really rippin. On the kayak, we also troll with either plugs or crankbait on our way to or from spots.
Do you have favorite trolling rigs/lures?

Agree I’ve used a 1 0 live bait for anchovies and tuna for years. Like 50 it doesn’t take a big hook to catch big fish Even 2/0 and cut bait into for catfish will catch 40-50 fish
