      Very smart. Definitely advise to learn as much as possible and also learn your ski as much as possible. Don’t assume it’s as easy as throttle and go! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

    Hey man! Love the vids. Been on the water my whole life and have a Sea-Doo myself. I used to sell boats and we used to ALWAYS use Hot Sauce after every ride. The brand is literally called hot sauce and you just spray a little bit onto a tower or micro fiber and then wipe down your ski/boat. This helps keep water spots from staying on there and makes it super glossy and shiny. It also helps keep the gel coat in good shape. It has worked wonders for me on my boats and skis and we don't pull them out of the water unless we have the Hot Sauce. Try it out I think you will really enjoy it!

    Being new to this sport that's why I'm asking these questions you probably hear them before but we've only had ours for little under a month we got about 6 hours on ours and then we're still in the break-in. That's why I was asking these questions

      Like I said being new to the sport we got friends that take us over we did Crystal River one afternoon which was rough as all get-out but then lately we've been going over to a lake over in outside of Inverness called lake Hernando about once every couple of weeks and riding for a little while so I can get more and more used to the way it runs and on the waves and everything else so far haven't done anything great yet one wait for it to get broke in you know how that is you got to get that 10 hour. And you know how it is with trying to get the fluctuation of speeds in so we can go someplace eventually we want to try to go down to the keys and still some of the places that you've been too but we're not going to push it yet

    I like your videos they are very informative. One question I had is how do you get all the water out of those plates I want to call them that are behind the jet? I tried tilting the trailer but there is still some water left. I've also put a shopvac up in there but it still doesn't take it all out.

      @@ObiSkiTV I've been on the Winter Park Chain of Lakes, Harris Chain of Lakes, Lake Fairview, and sometimes a small Lake called Lake Kathryn. I noticed that you use a sole fillet where did you get the dispenser for that stuff at and that deal that you said boat scrubbers whatever it is where did you get those at I noticed your waverunner doesn't have a keel guard on it are you a believer in them or not I bought one I'm debating on putting it on right now because I don't see very many wave runners with kill guards on them but I want to protect that Kiel

    • @ObiSkiTV
      @ObiSkiTV  10 місяців тому

      I def appreciate the question. That’s what we’re here for, to help each other. The salt away and dispenser I got on Amazon. The boat scrubbers I got on Sandshark.com and as for the keel guard I don’t have one and you’re right most people don’t, I use boat guards when I dock and after riding for a short while I came to see what every rider comes to see…… it’s impossible to keep them looking brand new. They will absorb some hits, I just do my best to take care of my ski and be aware of my surroundings when I dock it.

    I have a 2013 Yamaha vx Deluxe and I've been riding it in fresh water lakes and rivers for the last 11 years and I rinse my engine out with regular hose water after using it in fresh water. I use to rinse it out after every time I used it, but I was told that's not necessary and since then, Ive been rinsing it out once every 3 to 4 times I plan on taking it for a ride in salt water. This is a great video. Just one question though, is it necessary to rinse the watercraft out with salt off after e every time you take it out for an all day ride or do you rinse it out with salt off once every 3 to 4 uses or so?
    And when I say rinse it out, I mean exactly how you demonstrated in this video by rinsing the inside of the engine out and rinsing the whole outside of the watercraft.

    • @ObiSkiTV
      @ObiSkiTV  Місяць тому +1

      If you’re riding in fresh water you can absolutely do it that way. However in salt water I use a salt detergent after EVERY SINGLE RIDE! Don’t take any chances as salt deposits will really take a toll on your Yamaha! Make sure you clean the entire ski after a day out in the ocean! It’s the key to keeping it running for a long time to come.

      @ObiSkiTV Thanks. I see 2 brands of salt off detergent you can use between the Salt Away which is what you're using in this video and the Starbrite Salt Off. Can I use either one or is one better than the other?

    • @ObiSkiTV
      @ObiSkiTV  Місяць тому

    • @bobbydenezza7795
      @bobbydenezza7795 Місяць тому

      @ObiSkiTV ok just asking because it says on the Salt Away that it's jet engine flush as well as exterior wash and inboard and outboard. On the Salt Off by Starbrite, it doesn't say it's for jet engine flush so I figured it may not be ideal to use that for inside to flush out the cooling systems.
