      Don't you think that people should actually read the manual provided by the software manufacturers? That would save them a lottt of time...

      You'll get a lot from the manual, but I find that trying things and making mistakes and learning from them, is the biggest reward. Doing is better than reading. I think. My humble opinion. That's why this video is more about doing, not just technical learning.

    Finally, a tutorial that’s simple and direct. I was getting so tired of seeing “beginner” videos that try to teach you all of Ableton in 30 minutes and which are understandable only by people with extensive experience. This one gives you the confidence of having learned just a handful of basics upon which you can build. This is the way every beginner tutorial should be constructed. I look forward eagerly to follow-up lessons having the same type of narration and limited subject matter.

      See this is sadly funny there’s so many people out there that are teachers but I’ve heard one thing in teaching all the years I have is that just because you’re a teacher it doesn’t Mean that you teach well, in other words being able to get across to anybody or almost everybody all the time that is the absolute art and Sanjay, you’ve got it down my brother. This is why his videos are so good because “he knows how to teach“ it’s not just experience how many years you’ve done it but it’s how you do it how you approach how you listen to your students comments. How do you decide what goes online. Thank you so much again

    this tutorial just got straight into the nitty gritty in a simple but concise manner that was easy to understand and extremely inspiring. I think it was cool to set the bpm at 80 because it just slowed the flow and made it all so cool and easy on the learning curve. hearing the vibes, mixing, arranging and exporting so early was fantastic. heck, at the end point some other tutorials around the web are still waffling on about their style of teaching and the interface so all kudos Sanjay, this was extremely easy to follow for my "cluttered mind" all due to your slick presentation. thank you, have a fabulous day 😎

    Dear Sanjay
    The first time I had seen a daw was back in 2007. Since that time I always wanted to get in making music at home by myself. There was not such thing as UA-cam at that time. I tried by myself but failed even making a single sound with Ableton and decided making music is not for me. I quit trying. I have been watching your videos since couple of months now and today I received my midi controller, earphone and live. I made my first track. It's been 13 years now man and finally I can create something that I like. Thanks so much for being such generous by giving people what you know and help them to learn something. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate. I was not aware it was that much simple. Thank you

    I love how you open your video, Sanjay, with a simple welcome: “Hi.” I dislike openings such as “What’s up everybody?” or (worse) “Hey there!”. I’ll often shutdown the video and search for another. Sanjay, you are a terrific educator with a lovely manner. Great video - like all your others. Thank you…

    Holy Jesus Christ that’s like a almost perfect beginner tutorial! I’m so glad that I discovered this channel before buying ableton. Btw I wonder if the version of ableton will matter in what you do in this video? Thanks!

    • @SanjayC
      @SanjayC  4 роки тому +3

      Yes, it does. You can do most things with Ableton Lite, but I suggest the Standard version.

    There's a lot on the other, (longer) tutorials I've watched that gets glossed over or they get hung up on the more complicated settings and workflows. This amazing video finally got me going. How to record and loop tracks, fix your early mistakes, and how the hell do you get your song from the session view to arrangement?! You are a gifted teacher, thank you.
