Jesus. FINALLY. A clear, intelligent human being explaining the basics of Ableton. Methodical, well-paced, intuitive. 98% of the tutorials on YT are convoluted, boring and make me want to shoot myself in the face. THANK YOU.

I agree, ever tutorial made a musician is garbage, including this one.
I watched it over and over and a this point I'm convinced he is using a completely different software.
can't connect my midi keybox POS, or made it made noise with a keyboard...
      why are all musicians autistic?

Welcome to Ableton for Beginners! The goal of this video is to explain Ableton's interface so you can easily navigate the software when creating music. If you have always wanted to make music, but just didn't know how, then this should be the first step you take to learn how to produce music!

I don't know what it is, but out of all the tutorials I have gotten into. The way you teach is by far the best and so easy to follow in the best way possible. Alot of other people are so hard to follow and aren't interesting enough to want to watch more. You have the perfect balance of all of that and I thank you for that!

I appreciate you so very much! Typically when exploring UA-cam tutorials I skip the "super intricate" ones because they end up being more wordy then informative. You did a fine job. Accomplished what could have taken hours in just under 20 mins. Thank you and I look forward to checking out your channel. (Good call on leaving it just the way it is!)

All I can say is thank you for such a clear simple explanation of the basics of this DAW. It is exactly what I've been looking for at a slow enough pace for me to absorb the information. Looking forward to exploring more of your videos. As a beginner in the realm of music making, I am having a hard time grasping the concepts for what I am looking to do as a drummer with an SPDXS sampler. These videos should be a great starting point for me. You make no assumptions that newbies know anything which is perfect for this level.

My Dear Sir, that was fabulous. Learned so much new about Ableton and how to get things done. I am originally from iOS (iPad) music but was finding it hard to make things happen there, hence, my trip to the laptop domain. Having said that, I even learned a few new things about the iOS music game also. It might have been longer then you expected but well worth it, with not a wasted moment. Thank you so much for taking me to school; I am Grateful. Now to watch your next one. #Grateful.

Thank you for keeping this video up. While I've messed with audio editors for years, I've never even heard of Ableton until this month. My fault for staying in my own rut. But I had questions and was a little too embarrassed to ask around. This video covered everything I needed to know and now I'm excited to find a device I can go get to begin using Ableton. I don't do music, but I do have a need to make some low-key sounds for backgrounds. Probably overkill, but it seems like with the library there will be more than enough tools to get what I need. Thanks again!
