I just obtained a mac and ableton after wanting both for years. I can't believe how easy you made everything. It's digestible, easy going, no pressure. You didn't use producer vocabulary, but still got the point across so clear and concise. Thank you for not over-doing it and keeping it all simple. This is literally the blueprint for all beginners everywhere. Building blocks.

I’ve watched hours of Ableton ‘beginner’ videos where the presenter doesn’t start by TELLing and SHOWing you clearly how to get a sound out of the app. You doing so here in the language of someone watching with no experience already makes this video worth a thousand times more. i have been using your videos to teach my 7 year old daughter ableton... very concise and thorough.
she likes the way you speak calmly and explain things clearly. There are no ableton tutes for kids so this is excellent, she finds it very easy to listen to you when everyone else uses technical jargon and goes too fast.

This is next level Taetro. Seriously, I've been using Ableton for 2 months, and kinda struggled to get the right frame of mind to make something. After just the end of this lesson, I was bulding my own melodies, drums and baselines in session view and bridging clips together to make something that sounded reasonable. Well done brother. THIS is the video I have been looking for! I don't know why manufacturers don't just hire you to do their tutorials, dialed in to their specific product of course. I could see four 30-minute videos for beginners, three for intermediate and two for advanced. This is something a lot of people would gladly pay for.
Taetro, you are simply the best teacher. I've just finished the music theory course and I'm now starting this ableton live one, and I've got to say that your teaching skills are fantastic! The learning experience is easy and fun, you express yourself very clearly and have a lot of patience.

Your video saved my life! Just got my first mini MIDI keyboard and Ableton yesaterday and never made any complete music before. It's quite panic when first time open Ableton 11. This is what I needed. I bought Live 11 suite just before my student discount ran out and I doubt I've even scratched the surface of its capabilities. One of my friends is a music producer and works on scores for big movies, but now transitioned to hiphop and I challenged him to use standard plugins only and he was surprised how good most base stuff (glue compressor, eq eight, hybrid reverb etc.) actually are and how great most built in sounds are. I mean, at $700 you'd kinda expect that.

This tutorial is really really good. I've been trying to learn Ableton from scratch and it's been so difficult. Every tutorial video seems to be all over the place and I can't put the pieces together. But from this 30 minutes video only, I already have a good idea how the very basics work.

I purchased ableton few weeks ago and seriously I couldn't understand a thing because I'm used to see different kind of daws. So when I was searching on the youtube how to use it I came across a lot of people explaining it. I tried to watch them but they are not explaining everything like you do. Your way of explaining things is so easy to understand and now I feel less hopeless and feel like it was not a bad choice to purchase ableton at all. I have yet to play a single note but have been watching this creator’s content over multiple platforms and feel like my knowledge has developed significantly. Always feeling like it was too big for me to handle. A ridiculous thought seeing as I have been using Serato for a looooong time. I bought Ableton a very long time ago now. maybe 20 years. and it was always too overwhelming to get any feel for it. i wanted to make music but where to start and how to even ask my first questions.

Thanks so much - I had started to learn Ableton earlier this year, but recently had a medical episode and ended up in hospital with some memory loss, and had to start again more or less from scratch. Your tutorials are a fantastic refresher, everything is coming back to me!

I have started watching plenty of beginner guides. Most of them jump straight into production I love the pase of this videos and I finally get some of that stuff
omg, thank you so much! i'm really happy that i found this, because other lessons always like "learn how to make music for 11 minutes" and this always stupid, if you don't know the basics. I always tried to repeat what they do in every video, but it doesn't help, if you wanna make something good. For example, you are the first person in english and russian lessons who told about the red-action button. It's so easy and i think that's why nobody talks about this, but it's so important for beginners, because i reloaded my program every time because of this... thought that the ableton is not working. Yes, very stupid, but thank you hahahah. Also, yes, i'm not native english speaker, so thank you, that you talk on a normal language without slang a million likes to this gentleman

Usually these online tutorials involve the "teacher" doing a bunch of moves with his hands while talking and the student is left in the dark as to why all those moves are not explained. My brain hits stonewalls when I see a button or an option that I can't make sense of and then the instructor also decides to completely skim over it. And my brain hear what they're saying and goes back to, 'but what does this button do' and then I'm stuck at step 3 forever.
The fact that he pointed out to things and said we don't have to worry about it FOR NOW, is the best technique I've ever seen.

I am not sure why I looked at your video but I am glad I did. This is an example of where going slow is actually moving faster. You're slow and methodical about your explanations. For example, exampling how Ableton sometimes wraps and guesses the BMP and how it can never be a decimal. How to unwarp and rewarp it to allow the correct BMP for your sample can move along with the projects BPM. I've watched so many videos in which this was never explained. Because of this, I subscribed. Thank you.

This is the best I've seen so far . Usually people teaching are skipping steps all the time.
Great tutorials! One thing I learned later in Ableton but should have known at the beginning was in the midi piano section below. Just as you click slots or rectangles in to add midi sounds etc... one cool idea is to make a melody very quick. When hitting a white key, at the same time hit the Right arrow key on keyboard and it will automatically add the note in that same space. repeat and it will do it again.
i always loved music and i wanted to create some for me , but almost all daws seemed overwhelming , so i decided to go with ableton , however i didn't know how to use it , now i'm watching your videos and they re really helpful , thank u , appreciate u
At the moment I'm taking my very first steps into the world of creating music. I've been singing my entire life, play a bit of piano and have written a few songs. However, I have never actually published anything. This toturial is very easy to follow and I can't wait to watch the rest of the series. Hopefully, I'll soon be able to produce finished songs. And with a lot of practice, they might even turn out somewhat good in the future. Thank you so much for a great tutorial.

I’ve always done the bulk if not all of my stuff in the arrangement window because it’s easier for me to add overdubs around my demos. However, it was great to see something come alive in the session view the way you showed us. Thanks!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
