I’m sorry for your loss, but I honestly kind of know how you feel. Got with my girlfriend in 1988. We lasted 3 years. I would’ve never left and even would’ve married her, but she thought at that time that all I wanted was her kitty Kat. Wasn’t true! I did love that kat, as she was my first. She was 38 and I was 16 when we first met. But I tried to go back at 26 but it was over. God I miss her!! I hate UA-cam! We’re turning into a communist country and UA-cam is assisting.
Everybody needs to experience being crazy in love atleast once in their life. I mean that kind of love that makes you hate being away from them and all you can think about is when you'll see them again. The kind that makes your heart feel like it's turning a flip as soon as you see them. It's almost an obsession and when you stop feeling that way no matter how hard you try your heart breaks and you never figure out what happened but it's an experience you never forget.
It's the worst when you feel like that, and then you marry the guy, but then he tells you three years later that he never loved you back, not even on your wedding day. He hasn't said any different eight years later.
I only experienced that type of love once upon a time over 40 years ago. You described the feelings completely. We hated to be apart for even a minute. Oh how sweet I remember those much too short days ❤❤❤

He made his mark in 50's pop then started a country career that made him a legend . I met Conway when I lived in Nashville in 1974. He was so down to earth and NEVER acted like he was famous. Just a regular guy. He left way to soon. I remember that day like it was yesterday . RIP Conway ! :(

Was living in South East Mexico when he passed. We could pick up WBAP on AM at night way down there. Pretty rough, left way too soon. Always felt that some of his real gems, much like Merle, Jones and many others were done in the 80s, just before "squat" I mean Hot New country took over. It was like so many of the legends were blazing some top quality music around this time.

Thanksgiving 2009, I was at my aunt and uncle's in Bakersfield, CA listening to a classic country station in my grandpa's Ford van, and this came on. It was about 2 months after I had broken up with my most recent ex at that point Annie and I was missing my first ex Sara, 15 was a confusing time, but at least this song gives me memories I can look back on and smile.

GREAT man and great song. We visited Twitty City in the 80s. It was a beautiful and happy place. Too bad Dee, his third wife, did not realize it was "CONWAY'S Graceland"..........what a shame and great loss for his fans! I get so irritated when people say Chris Stapleton wrote Tennessee Whiskey. Actually, Dean Dillon, Linda Hargrove, and David Allen Coe wrote it. George Jones made it famous THEN Chris just re-recorded it. And don't get me started on Wagon Wheel.. 😂 😂
