By far one of the greatest voices in country music history. Conway Twitty was a rare talent. This is one of the best live performances I've seen. He was one of those few that always sounded better live than in studio. Check out his 1990 performance of "It's Only Make Believe" if you still don't believe. He was in his late 50's and in declining health, and still NAILED it.
I have to admit, I did come from Family Guy. But, after listening to a lot of his music (this being the first song I heard from him after watching the episode with this song in it), this man made beautiful music. He was very soothing, very powerful with his words, and just plain amazing to listen to. This song is probably my favorite from him. Very bittersweet, very beautiful.
Exactly. True feeling in his lyrics and music. I know Seth McFarlane is a huge music fan and is very talented at singing so he used this as a reference in family guy to be funny but also get people interested in classic country music.

Discovered this song through Family Guy. Made me cry the first time I listened. The joke for the context of the show was over 10 seconds into the clip. They could have cut it there. But I think Sethe McFarlane legitimately wanted people to hear this clip. The 3rd pre-chorus makes me tear up everytime. The power in his voice. He's almost screaming those notes. It's incredible.
Im a 29 year old black guy from detroit. My music taste is vast, but never got too deep into country. BUT CONWAY FUCKING TWITTY. I HAVE THIS ON REPEAT. Seth Macfarlane is a treasure in more ways than one.
Whatever anyone thinks about the moral or message of this song, nobody can say that this is anything but a first rate performance. CT looks like he means every single word and the fact that his facial expression hardly changes as he looks straight into the camera only adds to the power of the song.
Great talent with an amazing song. Also, this live performance is stunning! Bet few, if any, current singers (in any genre) could deliver like he does.

American classic country music is very popular amongst a lot of indigenous Australians ( mostly the older one's now ) the younger generations go for hip hop and r and b stuff, but to me - I think these older style Country Music stars from America are fantastic talents and are a irreplaceable and rare sound. Although it was mostly purely a music thing - not really about who these artists were personally. All that mattered was that great sounding style of music and singing. In Australia, it was Slim Dusty as a favourite country music choice.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, MR CONWAY TWITTY.
Man can he sing emotive songs that kindle your soul 🔥❤️🙏🏽 🙏🏽 Conway ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's incredible.
cry? he’s talking about stealing ur girl
@@Nichojakub145 I would understand why they would leave like damn it’s the Conway dude from family guy
@@Nichojakub145 no he isn’t
@@MikehMike01 he sorta is
I grew up with this music. Gotta love his talent. He crossed between rock and country very successfully!
Family guy brought me, but Conway Twitty made me stay and so Ladies and Gentlemen, Conway Twitty..............................
Im a 29 year old black guy from detroit. My music taste is vast, but never got too deep into country. BUT CONWAY FUCKING TWITTY. I HAVE THIS ON REPEAT. Seth Macfarlane is a treasure in more ways than one.
Terrific. Terrific.

otto skorzeny K. As soon as you go back to grammar school.

WarpChaos vocabulary i think.

Im not even into country music, but this one is magical
Hello
The Greatest Voice in Country &Western Music ❤️
Whatever anyone thinks about the moral or message of this song, nobody can say that this is anything but a first rate performance. CT looks like he means every single word and the fact that his facial expression hardly changes as he looks straight into the camera only adds to the power of the song.
Now, that's how a gentleman discloses his plan to steal your girl.
That’s not a gentleman. They don’t help people cheat.

DeLauweHeer Well no shit sherlock, any other obvious observations?
+Zachary Etzel why did you say that you like classic rock
Cause he has now been enlightened and is now a classic country fan also!😊
I love how this song gets right into it. No beating around the bush “woman you want me and you know it”. 😂
This guy and Marty Robbins are SO underrated.
I heard Marty Robbins when I played Fallout, and Conway Twitty from Family Guy.
Hi Stephen This guy is not underrated in mu books,
Underrated? He had 55...yes...55 #1 hits. Lol There's a reason he's in the country music hall of fame.
Hell no they were super famous
They both were HUGE during their time.
This dude could make any women want him.
Andrew Taylor With a voice like that, who WOULDN’T?
No dry panties in the house.

Such a classic. And this man is a country music god.
You can see he sang everything he had. His soul was visible for a few seconds during this
When I first saw Conway, I assumed he was some figure of fun. Silly old me. What a voice! Whew, absolutely stunning vocals.
Jokes on us! Conway is a Saturn V rocket!
The best friend a song ever had Conway Twitty
Great talent with an amazing song. Also, this live performance is stunning! Bet few, if any, current singers (in any genre) could deliver like he does.
COUNTRY MUSIC WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT CONWAY
I hope Family Guy isn't the first or last you hear this song, but thanks Seth, for pointing young audiences towards good music.
