    I finally understood that I could never overcome fear by avoiding life; freedom also wasn’t going to come through knowledge alone or planning my life around not feeling it. By doing so, my life was getting narrower and narrower, I wasn’t living, but trying to arrange the world, so I didn’t feel this fear and that was the big problem, the realisation I was missing. This is why knowledge could only take me so far, the real progress was out there, engaging back in life and no longer rearranging my life around not feeling it.This stuff works folks. Implement, Implement and Implement. Thanks Dan for tirelessly working for these daily videos. ❤❤ much love all the way from Singapore 🇸🇬🇸🇬

    I changed my story when I was 61. Never too late, people. I did. You can. Thanks, Dan. This is a great chapter for your book! And, congrats on getting to the finish line. It's a big deal. Many think they can write a book. Few follow through. You did it.

    I try to avoid saying "my anxiety" or "my symptoms" as i don't want my brain to believe that they are part of my identity. Its just a feeling I'm experiencing, it's not who I am.

    My present story is hopeful and positive.
    The past stories were tragic and depressing so I leave them where they belong: in the past.
    Congrats for plugging through your bestseller Dan!

    Like the great Joan Didion said, "we tell ourselves stories in order to live." I've been telling bad stories and listening to bad stories coming from the medical world.

    Dan, following a deep traumatic event 10 years ago when I was forced out as a minister at a church after 25 years, I went numb for 8 years. I felt very little physically or emotionally. About 2 years ago the dam burst followed by 2 months of extreme fatigue then anxiety and some depression. Lately I have had some short term physical pain and tightness in my shoulder and back which was gone in a couple of days. The info you give out here was valuable to my understanding of the process of feeling again both emotionally and physically and how to move beyond to a pain free me. That is my story.

    I can't believe it - seriously AGAIN the exact video that matches what I've spend time thinking about today xD I've truly come to the conclusion - and it finally feels RIGHT and acceptable to my mindbody - that what I believe of myself is going to be true :) And that I can totally choose what I believe. This is going to be a game-changer. I never felt like that before!

    Can you possibly do a video on what to do when you start to fear the symptom imperative? Sometimes I feel like I'm getting closer to healing but then get scared that other symptoms or more serious illness is going to show up. Maybe this is preventing me from healing my current symptom? I am clearly still experiencing lots of fear, so any advice would be appreciated

    That´s really so important! What kind of identity do I support and solidify by the stories and even the single words I use on a daily basis in my inner and outer conversations? And is this what I want to experience as a happy life now and in the future?........

    So difficult to unlearn all these things! Have to remind myself it is a marathon not a sprint. Can I ask a question Dan?
    I related so much to the story of "as long as I am with my partner/hold up this certain relationship in my life, I won't get better". It is something I tell myself a lot. How do I diffuse that fear? I feel like this story does suck but I also cannot deny the problems I have going on with that particular person? But really, difficult relationships and difficult conversations are part of life, it shouldn't mean that I am stuck in chronic symptoms, right?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  10 місяців тому +4

      You do NOT need to have chronic symptoms just because of difficult emotions and relationship stress. I have had many ups and downs with a recent partner and was able to go through all of that emotional crisis without any symptoms. These videos will help:
