I need to listen to this every day! Haven’t felt safe since early childhood. It derailed my health in 1981, and sent me to a whole other realm in 2020. It’s been an uphill climb since and I am healing some every day!! ❤

Twenty five years of migraine and now they are gone. I think it was menopause though. Once my body made that change the migraines just stopped. So grateful.

I think menopause plays a role in ibs. They don't tell women strong symptoms can last several years. They hint that once the last period happens a women should be 100 percent. I know I scare myself with menopausal symptoms.

It is so true that the symptoms switch off when you are asleep and then boom when you wake up they are back there again. The neural pathways need to change ti get better!

So helpful for long term strugglers like myself Dan , thanks !
    Chronic doesn’t mean forever!
It’s just lasting longer then usual.
Always happy to read people in the comments who found you early on their journey.
Nobody needs to suffer too long after finding the tms- path.
I’m overcoming a food poisoning and that gives extra symptoms but I’m optimistic and glad that I see proof that my healing mechanism is still working.. I’m not BROKEN 😄.

Thank you for this one Dan! I’ve been following you for a while now and getting better and better but I have the belief that because I have had pain for a long time things will go slow it needs time, but something clicked here. I doesn’t have to take long just because I’ve had it for a long time and like you say, I don’t have pain through the night or when I am dancing. I am using dancing by the way to show myself I am oke now by the way. Maybe more people have some kind of thing where the pain isn’t as high when in a flare. It really helps me to not go in a freak out. But anyway thank you very much! I am going to remember this one and watch it more often🌸

Maybe try dropping the "long Covid" label, it's amazing what our brains listen to and respond to, good and not so good. Am sure you are doing the best you can on house fronts , sensations can be draining. Wishing you a calm pain free future.

    Another great video Dan!
Funny enough I am always the worst in the morning and at night (label's that were given to me are POTS/dysautonomia/MCAS/long covid). Isn't it funny thought how it's very prominent in the morning, and lessened in the afternoon/evening? Makes zero sense.
Just goes to show that this is a conditioned response!

Actually i do have pain when I sleep. Often times i wake up from the pain. There was this show called I survived where sometimes these people got lost hiking and fell and broke several bones in their body. Out of sheer exhaustion they fell asleep for an hr or so. Their pain was still there. They just fell asleep through their pain. There is a difference of falling asleep through the pain and not having pain. Maybe you meant that you don't feel the pain after you fall asleep?

    • @1STBUCKLEY
      @1STBUCKLEY 10 місяців тому +1

If the pain is from the brain and it's dialled down as it does during sleep then you're not in pain. Technically. My opinion.

I flare every night in pain..the hours I’m awake it’s not immediately there all the time.. sometimes it is.. I focus on being glad for the hours that I don’t consciously feel it and try to stay calm during the hours I hurt badly..
At the end let’s not over- analyze each pattern, it’s all stems from the brain perceiving danger.
Hope you will have relief soon❤

First step is to eliminate doubt about the cause. KNOW that TMS/PDP is what is causing your pain. From there it is a matter of teaching the brain we are safe. A big part of that is our reaction to the pain. If we react with fear each time, the knowledge of what is causing it will not over-ride the fear response perpetuating the perceived danger. DansFastStart.com - is a good place to focus on fundamentals.
