SOUTH MANCHESTER PARKRUN - the reform of Oasis! A great parkrun located to the on the South side of Manchester around Platts Fields Park! This flat parkrun utilises just hardstanding tarmac and gravel paths! Join me as I provide an in-depth review of the South Manchester Parkrun experience.

Buggies/prams and dogs are allowed. It's good to note that there are toilets near the start line too in the Lakeside centre at the entrance. As the route is on hardstanding paths, road shoes are fine. In terms of how busy the parkrun is, it is a busy parkrun with around 326 attendees but the paths are wide, therefore, there are no real problems with congestion. With it being a flat parkrun, it is a perfect Parkrun for a PB! The day was great with blue skies and the park scenery was great too witha lake, hall, church and more. The atmosphere was great and there were some great volunteers to keep you going! We also managed to get Oasis tickets so happy days! This is the 37th parkrun I have recorded of which you can find a playlist of them on my channel!

I will be doing parkruns all over the UK and rest of the world! Every Saturday I take part in a 5K run trying my hardest to get under 20 mins. South Manchester Parkrun is a parkrun towards the North of England, South Manchester. It is a great run to tick off the "S" on the alphabeteer challenge. I love south Manchester but depending on the weather you might not want to wear road shoes. That gravel path, right after the sports complex, you run down can be a pain in the wet. Full of puddles, they do have a wet weather course that takes you around the lake but you still have to do the first bit and when it's wet and muddy it can slip.

Oh really that’s good to know thanks for the comment! That’s why I always ask locals for tips too because I’m only seeing it on the day I go, and the weather was amazing! 😄 that’s good that they have a backup course to stop them from cancelling as many runs! Thanks again!
