Great vid. I did Mcr Marathon (my first marathon at 46) this year and loved every minute of it. I beat my target by a couple of minutes to finish in a modest 4:26:50. Fantastic experience.

Well done Paul - you are an absolute star and the Videos show what a genuine and humble guy you are It takes a lot to put yourself out there and do these videos, interviewing complete strangers and more importantly run at that pace whilst filming yourself and talking to the camera - crazy man!! LOL You have achieved so much and you can be so proud of yourself for coming out of your comfort zone and facing your fears - Top work young man! p.s we never did see those shorts on Thursday at The Grove - they were wicked!! Maybe they can come out for a Quirk's London 5km on the Thursday morning - I haven't done a run since my heart attack but should be good for a slow one..... Sub 30mins would be good!!

@@pksruns I’m doing a 100 mile ultra marathon the elephant bear & bull race at the end of this month! I believe that as runner the biggest battle can be in our minds! I’m glad you shouted out in the finish!
@@pksruns I’ve been chasing the elusive sun 3 for a while, Manchester last year but didn’t run well, 3:40ish. Haven’t been able to get below 3:27pb various issues…reoccurring injury and such. Haven’t got Mara planned for this year yet…..Chester may be on the Cards….will see….just trying to get back into it at the moment. Great channel keep up the good work💪🏻👍🏻
You will definitely get there if you put the effort in - it’s never too late! My advice is plenty of lowHR training! Go get yourself signed up for something 💪🏼
@PKS Runs yes. Montane Spine Sprint race in June which is just a tad under 50miles. A Gravel bike Duathlon in a couple of weeks and the big event for me this year is the Lakeland 100 in July.

Hmmm…. It’s flattish, but I suspect there are flatter! It was a pretty uninspiring course with a very long outward stretch which was slightly uphill… I can only compare this to Lisbon which I did in October so not sure if flat and fast would describe it! I’ve heard Newport is a good one for fast and flat

@@pksruns Im sure it was! Thats great. yes im running Belfast Marathon next weekend. Im not sure if I will take the camera with me or not.. might take it without the stick as i dont want it annoying me
I hope that goes really well - yeah I usually use an extendable stick and used the shorty in the end as it was smaller and lighter, but annoyingly the shots aren’t as good! Next goal could be to be fit enough to run sub-3 with the extendable stick!! Let me know how Belfast goes

@@pksruns I live on a whole food plant based diet. I have endless amounts of energy that’s why I could adapt to longer runs! I run for vegan runners!
Oh that’s interesting - I read Finding Ultra last summer and was quite inspired, but I just don’t find vegan food all that inspiring 😩
