I came to suss out a particular Newcastle parkrun and subscribed for the others based on your format. The pre-run admin, run and cafe review is all you need. The fast forward elements maintain content of the run but keeps the video a manageable length. Well done. I'm now encouraged to search out the smaller parkruns to marvel at the volunteers. Thanks!
Thank you! I’ve tried really hard to create something a bit different to others. I don’t think anyone wants to hear me gasping for air for 25 minutes haha! I’m so happy you found it useful. That’s all I want to hear!
First parkrun I ever did up north! (I live in London). It rained heavily the whole time and was incredible! Lovely people. I hope you had a smashing time.
@@EndorphinEmpire I've done all the London ones actually, and there's quite a variety of "types" of event. Some which are a little more dull for me, certainly seem to be other people's favourites, and vice versa. My favourites are: Richmond (one scenic lap, chance to see deer, not flat at all) Bushy (the OG - also quite scenic, flat, one lap) Kingston (pretty much out and back, fairly flat and fast) Thames Path, Woolwich (has a curly wurly-style run to the top of a hill and back down again, out and back, still fairly fast - used to be my PB actually. very good French café nearby which isn't the one advertised on the parkrun website, I don't think they do carrot cake, but I'd be surprised if you were disappointed) Hampstead Heath had gone to be one of the tougher ones in London, but is one very fun lap. Lloyd is pretty hard, two laps Rickmansworth is where I would go to try and PB, I really like that one, but don't hear it mentioned much On a day where it has rained a lot, Harrow Lodge can be a splash fest, with water almost a foot deep in parts. I've also done Canon's Park and had to run through water - I quite enjoy stuff like that, but obviously completely depends on the weather. On that topic I think Hackney Marshes is exceptionally beautiful in the snow. I also quite enjoy Crystal Palace, Beckenham Place and a good few others, but don't want to made this even more of an essay than it already is. If you let me know more specifically what you look for in a parkrun, I can try to refine things and be a bit more specific. And if you're ever in London parkrunning, message me on here, and if I'm free my wife and I will come and say hi and buy you some coffee and cake after the run if we're around!

Thank you! It really is an under appreciated event. I loved it! Any in London you’d recommend?
