This is one of Stevie Nicks best songs. I hope she releases her 'demos' as a commercial release. The songs she recorded privately are so brilliant. She really shows off her voice. She shows it off in ways her produced songs rarely ever did.

Jim Durso Singer/Songwriter I absolutely agree! Her demos are her best work......showcasing her pristine vocals🎶🎶🎶🎶

I've had Stevie sing me through some tough times, and when my mother passed a few weeks ago, she sung me through it the best that she could. I requested that this be played at the services, but "Landslide" was played instead. At least a Stevie song was in there. My mom knew how much I loved her, and Stevie as well. They were one in the same.
"You were so strong, I fell to my knees...and I don't think I can handle this at all..."
    I miss you Mom.

I had a very similar experience when my mother died. It sounds odd to say it but Stevie soothed me. She's has been my comfort for 35 years. I adore her.

    ❤️
    You've left me now
    And it's seasoned my soul
And with every step you take,
I watch another part of you go...
I continue to build a wall...
    You were so strong,
    I fell to my knees...
And I don't think I can handle this at all...
    One more night
I'd like to lie and hold you
    Yes and feel...
    To make you smile,
I'd like to be there for you--
    Have you forgotten me?
    And the days go by
    Doing nothing about them...
    How much time
    Will I have to spend?
    My mind won't rest
    And I don't sleep
    Not even in my dreams...
    If you ever did believe,
    For my sake...
    If you ever did believe....
    And the days go by
    Doing nothing about them...
    How much time
    Will I have to spend?
    Ooo....ooo.....ooo...
    Ooo baby don't leave me
    Ooo..ooo...ooo...ooo
    I'm down on my knees...
    Ooo..ooo...ooo...ooo
    Begging you please...
    Ooo...ooo...ooo...ooo
    Baby don't leave me....
    Did you ever believe?

I thought for years this was a Buckingham Nicks Track - I am surprised to know this is from the Tusk era! Not much of a Mac follower anymore, but I still love to learn new things about them. They're kind of the continuation of the 60's pop scene.

I wonder why this wasn't included on Tusk...along w/ about 10 other songs. This would've improved the quality and variety of the double album.

Thank you. I really like the video to this song where Sheryl Crow is playing the guitar and Stevie is dancing , singing and twirling! Very beautiful, great musicianship.Excellent song, the lyrics kind of fit the way I was feeling at a concert in 2010 and I was having the greatest, warmest time and really liked this guy,. I’ve had the rule since the 90’s, no getting involved it will get in the way of my experience with the band I am seeing. Well I broke my own rule and like I said it was great until I turned around thinking he is still beside me and I looked to my right wondering and I found him talking to 3 other women . So I decided he is a player and so I took off to the my left and said this person is not ruining my concert experience. Them later he comes to me and ask me if I want to dance, everything was blurry to me , I didn’t know it was him. I have night blindness and then he comes back and I’m like oh my god it’s the guy from earlier who I was having the greatest time just being with him. I really didn’t think he liked me. I really thought he was asking me to dance because he felt sorry for me. In thebeginning when I met him you could tell he had his guard up, then later little by little I knew he was somebody by these shady little things that kept me wondering but I really didn’t care I just liked him BUT he left me. I really liked him being by my side because he sang and danced with me. I needed him because he let me breathe. The next morning I woke up and cursed my stubborn self. I looked for him at 3 maybe 4 different concert s and festivals thinking maybe he was a concert promoter just to say I was sorry, even if I didn’t mean that much to him but he meant a lot to me but he left me. Thank you to Stevie for all her excellent chic music I have to lean onto when I need to move along in my life.... by the way, that guy could sing to and he took me away and I loved the place I was in. It was just him and I . ♥️🎸🦆
