Stevie kissed me on the forhead at a show in 1978.. I was 9 yrs old. I have loved and followed her ever since! I dont love her as a Mother or a sex object? I just love her, She gave me A connection. She sings just to me..If you dont know or understand her you will never get it.. She is honest and true to the soul!

amen!!!! Stevie truly is a beautiful soul..very honest and true to her heart...I read an article about Stevie and it was done by someone who was close to her..they said the coolest thing about her and it was " exactly how you think of Stevie is exactly how she is" I thought that was a very cool thing to say because I know as a fan and others who are fans have this magical view of her we think the world of her and when her friend said that I was like awesome because I think so many wonderful things about her and I know I wouldn't be disappointed..I'll always love Stevie nicks a fan for life.

My English Cocker Spaniel was named Gypsy, after this song! She crossed over in 2014, but shortly after I had a dream/vision of her (I've never had a dream about her before or since). In real life she had very developed cataracts in both eyes (she had zero vision), but when I dreamed/had the vision of her, her cataracts where gone, so I could see her 'bright eyes'. It was a very supernatural/spiritual experience. Me & my Gypsy where so close, i woke up from that experience in tears as the hurt of losing her was still so raw...
I now have a griffon named Eleven, after Stranger Things; we are just as close!

Rock on, aging queen. She is nearly 70. Amazing. She no longer tries the higher notes so this changed the song. It is better with FM. The higher harmonies and guitar give an airy feel.
After Stevie had damaged her voice, treatments permanently changed it. What is amazing is that she could pull it off. The Gold Dust woman.

Stevie Nicks, Cher, Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Helen Reddy, Streisand, Olivia Newton John, Linda Ronstadt, Cyndi Lauper, Annie Lennox, etc. Now it's mostly generic no talents that are there only because they look like Barbie dolls. Talent is rarely a consideration anymore. That's why hearing a great pop voice like this is soooooooo refreshing. Thanks for posting.

You make a good point. And with some singers their voices fade as they get older. Not their fault, thats life. but some to me improve or change often for the better. Rod Stewart is a classic example. That raspy voice has got softer but he's smart and adjusted to it. Elton John was brilliant but over the past few years he struggles to get the older songs right when live. So he adjusts the pitch of the song to suit. Even MAcca 's voice has lost a lot in recent years but come on, its still Paul McCartney...
But Stevie's voice has got deeper and raspier and I like that. In fact I like all of her career.

This song was written about the simple times of her and Lindsey. When the road or her lifestyle became hard she would always think of the time when her and Lindsey literally slept on a mattress on the ground.
When her friend died, allowing for her child to live, Stevie was on tour and received a call about it, She dedicated the song to her after that event. So overall this song is about one thing but has been dedicated to another.

Actually, she does know how to play, obviously. Most songs are based on chords. Just like this one. If you focused on the piano for a moment, it goes with the rhythm and how the song is suppose to go. Therefore, your argument is invalid.
