- Learn the basics of Rulerwork on a Domestic Sewing Machine.
Hi, I'm Loretta Hayes from Hayes Sewing Machine Co, located in Wilmington, Delaware. You don't have to have a fancy or expensive machine in order to do highly detailed quilting on your quilt. The introduction of RulerWork Presser Feet for your home sewing machine has opened the door to hundreds of quilting rulerwork designs and patterns now available.
In this video, we go through some of the basics of the Ruler Work Presser Foot, some basic Ruler Work Free Motion Rulers, as well as some pattern and design ideas.
We also have some Rulerwork Template Rulers available on our Etsy store.
Please check compatibliity with your machine when ordering items.

Thank you, this tutorial isgreat
Glad it helped!
Wow. Very cool. TY
You're welcome!
This is fantastic!! Really would like to see a ruler sole for the BSR. 😺 Would love to know how to keep stitch length consistent with foot 72.
Julie, when you're working with Rulers, you have to go a lot slower, which does help to keep the stitches a bit smaller and consistent. However, if that is a product you're interested in having made available - send Bernina an email. If enough people request it, they may make it!
Makes me want to get my rulers out to work on a UFO. Thanks Loretta.
You're welcome, Karen. UFOs are a great way to get some practice in.
By low bar do you mean low shank feet?
Yes
What thread do you normally use when doing ruler work on your bernina
We usually use a cotton quilting thread. We carry Mettler Silk Finish Cotton in our store.

Would you please tell me the name of the first quilt you are demonstrating on? Thank you, I love it!
The blue and green quilt with the white centers is called "Float on", it's an Accuquilt quilt.
@@HayesSewingMachineCo thx for your reply, one more question tho, is there a link to share of putting this quilt together!? Thx again!
