    We need to see a play through of a song where you play a solo and we get to see your improv shredding finally :) great vid Ryan, keep it up!

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  5 років тому

      TOASTERDOG!!! what's up buddy long time no chat :) As i said, i'm not a shredder... while I can figure it out for you and demonstrate it, solos are not where my creativity lies. I can solo for about four measures before it gets repetitive and redundant... and i do the same 'moves' for every single song, because i'm only comfortable with just a few. I prefer to focus my energy on song writing and let the lead guitar player in my band worry about those things :)

      That actually wasn't me. I published this at the usual time and youtube just didn't do it's job. for two hours I was like "huh, usually i have a pretty good feel for how interested in a topic everyone is going to be and I thought this would be a fairly strong one" but nobody watched it for two hours. I thought I'd stumbled upon the ONE thing that nobody cared about :)

    • @RyanLendt

      You're very welcome kinder sir! I'm afraid it is not time realistic to practice and perfect 5 songs per week - and this kind of endeavor falls even deeper into that category, you understand. For these lengthy solos the goldfish part of my brain can only retain a couple measures at a time - thank god for the perfect memory of digital video!

    In all seriousness, it's a great song and fun to play but I feel my way is much more complicated than it needs to be, so would love to see your take on it.

    Great vid Ryan nice one. Question - would Mike plan this solo before hand or just make it up as he goes on the night?

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  5 років тому

      he would just make it up as he goes, but when you do it every night you have a pretty good groove on which sort of segments come when, which is why you see similarities in solos from the same tour, and an evolution through the years
