All your lessons are awesome, but when you do a Pearl Jam campfire it’s even more awesomer. You know the originals so well it’s fun watching you truly enjoy yourself campfiring them. Always fun, always helpful
I love his tutorials. It's great for people who play. It's like here's the parts, you're only here cuz you know the song, and you know how to play. Have fun. Perfect for me
I've been playing guitar off and on now for a couple years. What always brings me back to picking it up again are your videos. I always feel like I come away with some new insight and a new enthusiasm from every video, and I just get that itch again to go and practice a new song. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make these wonderful videos!
i've been practicing this for about 2weeks now and have nailed it. i will carry you on my shoulder through the gates of music heaven ryan. you're the boss.🙏
i played in a tribute band called riot act in the bay area - wayyyy back before being in a pearl jam tribute band was cool. some of our vids are on youtube somewhere...
Thanks Ryan, one of my favs and super easy to play. For the folks that just want to strum along during the intro, they can play a D shape on the 4th fret and then another D shape on the 9th fret.
Impressive how can you still surprise us with "simplifications" of this legendary tune with so many tutorials available without losing its singularity. Congrats to you and lets continue praising your talent and dedication to these videos :) thank you once again
uh bro how did I miss this lesson? this has always been one of my fave PJ songs but I avoid playing it because I thought it sounded to simple and basic with cowboy chords. man this is gonna sound great thanks again Ryan!
One of the best ever YT lessons! Must admit discovered this by accident (thinking Ryan's done a few Black lessons) but really like how you throw in the tangy notes!
I was listening today to the Ed concert from Las Vegas (1st Nov 2012), where someone on the crowd donates cash to the cause for him to play black, and he doesn't know how to do with guitar so he gets Boom out to do some chords on the organ and manages to get it through. Now this comes up and it just says to me that Ed needs to subscribe here, as the break down with the doot doots and noodly doos even I can (or will at least try) do. Would have saved him on that night in Vegas if he could see this breakdown! Great job Ryan!
thanks for that Mitch! I find it both hilarious and perfectly logical that it seems the boys know surprisingly little about what the others do in a given song.
Eddie needs to do alot of things but the first is to stop promoting climate change, it is fake. He goes on and on and doesn't realize he got worked by a corrupt, racist, lying, Democrat Party.. He does have an unreal voice, kinda like Aaron Lewis but Lewis is better in my humble opinion. Happy New Year!!
Haha - this is a refreshing one. It seems like you recorded it one-shot on a Sun morning, but you certainly knew what you wanna show us. Very useful and exactly what I needed. Cheers!
To be canoed, most certainly :) That throwaway pinky finger C-note of Stone's is just such a Stone moment. Hardly makes a difference and yet makes all the difference. And now you've open chordified it to great effect :)
Not sure if anyone else does this...but for a green belt intro (get it), slide your E and Asus2 chords up 12 frets. Then you can still use the open chord fingerings and not have to worry about more complicated shapes because playing the open strings is fine. I think it sounds better on my 12-string than on my 6, but that might just be the intonation on my 6 string. It's hard to do some of the fancier stuff on my guitar up there though because I don't have a cutout. Can still get that E and A though. Pretty easy to hit the harmonics when you're up there too.
Another gem of a video. I’ve been trying to figure out the do do do dooo do doo do do bits down there for a while but kept hanging on the C for it like you did as couldn’t figure out the next bit! So thank you Ryan. As always you make it look so easy lol. Also I use use your original the proper/ for real way of playing the intro and first verse bit on my acoustic. I’ve still learnt a lot from this video though so thanks again.
Hey man I know you probably have a long list of requests but if sometime you could get around to doing a lesson on Tell me why by Leo Nocentelli from his acoustic album I’d greatly appreciate it.
All your lessons are awesome, but when you do a Pearl Jam campfire it’s even more awesomer. You know the originals so well it’s fun watching you truly enjoy yourself campfiring them. Always fun, always helpful
thanks buddy. how are things in the future?
I think you meant more gooder. And yes, it are.

the guitar may spend time in the closet, as long as it comes out eventually :) thanks for your kind words B

@@RyanLendt hii. Loved the way you played the guitar and it sounds really good. Can you tell me which model it is.
Strumming pattern?

you clearly dont know that a sous does all the work in the kitchen.....
if you con't discuss strum pattern this is useless
