Khadgars on level 10 dark ranger increased her effective HP by cca 33%, on a lower level hero it increases it even more. Much better than talisman of evasion.
You should consider her healing though. She is often healing quite a lot between drain life and healing ward and that dodge makes healing much more efficient and spread over a larger health pool whereas khadgars is only relevant if she would have otherwise died without it.
Hey Grubby, dunno if you read these. The reason I think you shouldn't get more gold when someone leaves game theory wise is because you are now going from your gold contributing to 33% of the total army to now being 50%. So in theory every time you invest in upgrades or units that gold is now strengthening 50% of the army. So, the downside being it is both easier and harder to counter pick for everyone. You do not consistently fight anyone and that's a problem for you and them. While I think it's obviously more disadvantageous for 2 person side, as now 3 person side only needs to worry about 2 army comps to counter, it would be too easy to abuse for the 2 person side. Imagine this no gold mine 1 person spams units early game to prevent early loss, the 2 other people gold mine rush and invest in the long game. Then about 20 minutes in the person who is all in on the early game leaves intentionally and you have additional gold to the two long game folks. The balancing seems like it would be borderline impossible, I think the best alternative IMO would be heroes die and immediately re-spawn if you are down a player. You might have already thought this through I was just intrigued by your off handed comment and game theory implications behind it. Fun things to think about design wise.
Honestly the best way to deal with that would probably be to prevent the person who left from getting any MMR even if their team wins so you as a player aren't incentivized to use that strategy, but that'd only really be necessary if people were dumb enough to try to advantage of it after all, if you're sitting out games just to gain meaningless points and become stuck fighting at a level you can't even come close to matching in skill level, you're kind of missing the point of the game lol

@@FellHead Yeah that's all correct, but you'd need to sink 1000 gold in like 70 seconds and then you have two lvl 1 heroes... so something you'd almost certainly only ever do for your 2nd and 3rd heroes, but when would you ever want to sink 1000 gold into two lvl 1 heroes at the same time? Rather than building one hero and putting 500 more gold into army or investments, even if that one hero isn't ideal.
honestly with my experience from sc2 direct strike, the team with 2 tends to win more often than not. You can force enemies to have to react every fight they take and if you diversify between this can leave big gaps to take advantage of.
In my experience, 2v3 is generally an advantage, the faster hero XP is huge. It can be bad that heros more likely to not spawn again, but this partially negates need to get more survival items on heroes also.

And since I am not playing WC3 actively anymore, I was greatly enjoyimg your videos on 1v1 explaining some stuff, playing, doing some tactics and much more. And these days I am upset about direct strike videos, I know this is the fashion these days and probably many people follow that but is it possible to dedicate one video per day for 1v1 games? That would make me so happy

Its a bit matchup dependent and you don't know what you are against until you see it. Enemies didn't have a ton of buffs / summons for destros to gain value

Assuming you did not build a hero from the previous one. So you get two identical hero selections in both of them. What is so hard to comprehend???
