This movie honestly makes me wish I never was alive to experience loss. But grateful to be alive to just taste a little bit of what love is. If that’s what it was
These look like identical to the horns in my 52 international (which are not working) going to try to adjusting tomorrow and see if I can get them working!
Does the small copper wire that connects to the coil have another connection? When I opened the cover it looked like a short piece of this wire was loose in the case.
i have a rust bucket of a car horn that still works somewhat . im gonna need to make a contact for it and then reef on a rusty nut and clean all that off THEN clean my chargers terminals as the charger is just as old.
There are replacements available from National Parts Depot (www.npdlink.com/1965-1973-mustang/electrical/horn) but they will not be the exact same... I'm trying myself to find a good working pair from any retailer but so far I haven't found them... Your best bet as the others have said is to go to a boneyard and harvest them from an old Ford F150. (And for the record, I am not affiliated with NPD or any other sellers.)
Awesome video, perfect explanation & expert advice. Thanks brother!

Thanks, Jack 👍 Have a pair of original '63 Merc horns coming that need restoration. They are identical to yours.

Hey, I have the same horns on my 63 Fairlane in about the same condition. Could you share what products you used to strip paint off of the outside?
+Mel 63 just a little light sanding. Most of the paint was gone on its own
Thanks for the tips! Did you notice the resistor gets smoking hot in a second?
I did not notice that

I WANT THOSE HORNS!!! Where do I get them?
Dominic Zannin Not sure. These are stock 64.5 Mustang horns. probably the same as many other older early 60s fords
Dominic Zannin I saw them at a junkyard on a old Ford F-150
I have a set from a 1964-1965 Thunderbird, if you're interested.
