Tim, I love the direction you are taking in your recent videos: integrating lessons from internal martial arts into OS. I learned a lot from you over the lass couple of years and I am avid to watch how already amazing OS is taken to another level.
Excellent. Your revelation about this movement became my revelation about this movement. Isn’t it crazy that it was there all along. Thank you for all the great training and also the entertainment. I really get your sense of humor. When I see an OS video post I know I’m about to learn something great and I’m going to get a good laugh as well.
Wisdom of movement finds its ways through time I guess, huh? I used to do cross-crawls in track back in high school. Never new they were a miracle movement.
This attention trick is one of the best things about the Feldenkrais Method if you’ve ever tried it. But I also love playing with it in segmental rolls. Depending on which finger I imagine reaching through, my shoulder and base of my neck feel vastly different!
I’m not familiar with Feldenkrais movements, but I do love your suggestion about placing the attention into reaching through different fingers! That is awesome!
Thank you! This is great and combines well with rocking and various rolls. Making it part of my daily routine in the AM. Thanks for all the awesome content! :-)
"give that a shot let me know what you think"- very refreshing to hear this rather than "SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, LIKE, SHARE, FOLLOW MY INSTAGRAM etc", Great channel man, keep it up
I stood up from my computer, got into position, initiated the movement with my lower back and .. instantly felt about 3 or 4 gentle pops. That feels gooood! By the way, do you have a routine or book geared towards desk workers aka "computer guys"? :) I've purchased OS: Reloaded and Habitual Strength and found great tips in both. (Rolling is the best! Seriously!) But I'm curious, is there anything else out there, perhaps geared towards people that are more likely to have tight neck / shoulders and hips?
So glad the movement was helpful! As to your question, there are a few options. Here is our online training platform. I think for you, either Unlock Your Body or my new Daily 21s program may be a great place to start. The Daily 21s program stems from my Discovering You book, so if you have that, you may not need it. The Unlock Your Body program is fairly thorough in the areas youre talking about.
@@OriginalStrengthSystem Thanks! I bookmarked the Unlock Your Body page on the OSI Online website. I'm about to finish up another 30 day workout challenge (because I'm like that for some reason) and this would make a nice little "reward" for me!

Thanks so much for the encouragement, Al!

Thank you so much - made my day!
We used to do this when we were kids in the exercise class. It is a warm up exercise for us. Amazing.

I felt it even more in the lower back, when performed standing, as if hula-hooping, rather than bent over... thanks for the video. :)
Ooooh, that’s good!
