first you made an oceanscape with kelp and fish and waves, now you have mountains in the night with moons?! you’re becoming a full on bob ross of resin bowls. freakin insane!
Bob Ross stole everything from his teacher, Bill Alexander. It was ironic too because he died before Bill. Karma. Anyway, he's becoming a full on version of Bill Alexander...not some thief.
@@morgancalvi6675 you can't steal anything from a teacher. They give of their knowledge willingly to educate you to the best of their ability to help you better yourself. What you do with that knowledge is up to you but it definitely wasn't stolen, it was given to you by a master.
@@morgancalvi6675 you're the one that called Bill Alexander a teacher, not me. I was just trying to explain exactly what a teacher does. They give you the knowledge and you do with it what you will. But you can't steal his knowledge, it's given. I didn't mention anyone's name. You must have mistaken my meaning. Frankly, I don't care if you read my comments or not but you need to understand what you're reading before you reply.. don't you think?
😮 Spectacular scenery! The boats / rafts in the water, the mountains and islands around the ocean's perimeter, the moons in the night sky. It was such a joy to watch the evolution of a failed project. In your patient hands, it went from an ugly ducking to a beautiful swan.
You are a magician Doug. It's amazing what you can do with a pile of rubbish and a part of resin. Really fantastic. Thank you my friend and I wish you a nice weekend. 👍👍👍
Hey Doug did you get my message that I would like some of your new sticker to put around my shop I will gladly pay for them and the postage if needed buddy just let me know
I don't know anything about woodturning other than what I've learned watching you and a few of your peers, but from what I've seen I'd like to say that what impresses me most about your work is your talent at actually turning the piece, whatever it may be. You are able to shape such beautiful curves and dips and crevices, It's beyond amazing to witness. I hear a lot about woodgrains and the beauty there or the design of what materials are used and how creative people can be with what they put into the work before they get to the lathe. Hopefully this doesn't sound too stupid, as I said I'm a fan but don't know what is even going on. Keep it up bro! 🤗
Wow, Doug I really love those up close angles, and how clean the piece looks when you are turning. That bowl is amazing, love how the moons turned out. So so so pretty!
Love the colours this piece is really creative. The moon's turned out better than I expected.😘😘 hope you and Barb are safe and warm and all the lovely fur babies.💋💋🐕🐕
That is a cool looking bowl. You do such great work and you are entertaining at the same time! It’s always a pleasure to watch and rewatch your videos! Your masterpieces are always so amazing! Great job! Bravo!
Doug you are an artist, you transform something ugly ( "A MISTAKE" ) in something beautiful, Take my hat off with you guys, that is why I subscribed to ypur channels, learning a lot and laughing too.
The fi ished product has a vibe similar to work of artist Ken Done. At first I thought it would be an ordinary result with what you were given, but you proved me wrong. Worked really well with your moons and mountains
Another great job 👍👍👍 I watched moon pie do your corn cob bowl and it had some unique things added. As always, thanks for taking the time to make the videos and giving the chipmunks extra airtime. Look forward to your next project.
Doug, you guys are a hoot together. If not one of you, it's the other or both that bickers about the others' product fails in collaborations you guys do together😂. Though friends, you guys remind me of brothers. Love the outcome.
I think the both of you did great with each others failed projects, just show that sometimes two heads are better than one to solve a challenge. Great piece and great video Uncle Doug.
I've been following MPC for a while (probably as long as I've been following you). The two of you are how I start my Saturday mornings every week. Truth be told I already saw his video dealing with your "failed" project. And, while both of your projects are very similar, you took a very different approach (the "nuclear option"?)...but the one I would have taken too. AND, great idea for cutting the balls in half. I would have probably wasted a lot of hotglue and scrap sticks. That's why I like your videos. I always learn a new way to think about things. Of course I have to add...WOW! Fantastic!!!!!!!! What a great looking bowl.
Thank You Thank You Mike, sometimes the easiest way is to start over, even if it's all mine in the end I still tried to make it look like what I was sent.
Very cool project and really neat idea using someone else's failed project. Going to check out what Ken did with yours next. Scrap bowl projects are really cool, they give an impressionist vibe to the piece. Funny thing, I don't care for impressionist paintings all that much, but in 3D pieces like this, I really like them -- can't explain that.
I think they both turned out fabulous! Ken really made those corncobs unique. Yours matches his pretty good too. The moons were a great touch. Great collaboration.
I love when you and Ken do projects together. You clown around and end up with something truly interesting and unique every time, and give me ideas that make me wish that my itty bitty shop had heat. 😂 I LOVE that you included your killer resin moons in the "Moonpie" bowl.
That come out beautiful Doug and you did and excellent job turning and making it as well!!! I'll go check out his video right now Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
