Great performance by an amazing band @ the legendary jc dobbs on south street...where all the hippies meet...incredibly small stage as I recall...tiny club, wish I would have seen this one..ty for sharing
OMG. I thought that I had seen most live Stereolab content on youtube and this video pops up in a playlist. Incredible early material and performed in my home town, no less! I don't think that I was musically mature enough to appreciate the lab in '93, but damn do I wish that I had seen these guys back then at least once. THANK YOU for sharing this gem.
It amazes me to see how they sound and look like the best indie band that just came out in the early 2020s. Katharin Gifford looks so groovy in her red hoodie, completely ahead of time.
Great footage and sound --- thank you! Tim acts like he stopped playing a little too soon at the end of "The Seeming and The Meaning" (at 41:40). There is a bit of an embarrassing smile or grimace as he recovers to finish the final bar!
So glad someone recorded this performance. My first Stereolab gig was a few years later on the ETK tour. Seeing them for the 10th or so time this Friday 10/7 and can't wait.
Good you put this one up, I was about to make a copy of it, and its even a second generation :) Are you the filmer of the San Fransisco gig too the same year? Its on the same tape.

Thank you!!! Golden ball, wow…
One of the best bands!!!! Ever! john Robinson
Wonderful footage of one of the best bands of all time at the peak of their power
I love the smirk on the keyboard player's face. The 90s were great. You didn't have to smile for anyone.

Unfortunately it’s closed down since. It’s a shame too

Oh my, to have been an audience member in such a small venue. . What a fucking amazing band. These tunes resonate to this day.
Fabulous! Loved these and saw them lots of times over the years. They were brilliant live and this is just wonderful!
What a treat to get to see Stereolab in what seems like a small setting. They are the best. Thank you for posting.
Thank you sooooo very much for this footage!! Glorious sound pioneers and one of my favorite bands since the beginning 😌
The best Jenny Ondioline I've ever heard! Amazing footage :)
It sounds great. Thank you!

Today is exactly 30 years ago (11.11.93 - 11.11.23). I'm looking forward to seeing them in London next week.
this is so incredible, thank you!!!
I discovered the Groop just a few months after this show, I would have been there.
Awesome!!!! Love it. ❤️
That was their best era.

Thanks for the upload - do you have also some videostuff by the stereolab-related band PRAM?
I was a junior in highschool when this was.
I so would’ve been into this if I were there

Of all the bands I’ve ever seen live the only band who was more serious was the fall…not much levity. Not many smiles
Golden Ball!
Complimenti. Hai la scaletta?
could anybody give me the setlist please?
45:45 bro you have the same voice 🤣
Awful live.
