While choosing, the right destination for your first international trip, an important thing that you should consider is PPP (Purchasing Power Parity), it is a better way to compare the cost of living and the economic strength of currencies. While in some countries like Japan, the yen may appear weaker than the rupee in exchange rate terms, Japan's cost of goods and services is much higher, making it an expensive country overall. Another example is South Korean Won (KRW), 1INR = 16.63 KWR (as of Nov 2024), but the cost of living in South Korea is higher compared to India. This is why exchange rates alone don't tell which countries are relatively cheaper compared to India.

I will disagree here. In today's day and age, people won't change their travel plans if it is cheaper somewhere. No one plans so much in advance, Gen-Z is known to priortize their time over money. I as a gen z plan according to budget(not too conservatively). I don't want 5 star hotel either, a decent, clean space works. But only thing I cannot do is staying in a 'dorm'.
