Quality of asian paints much much better than other brand , These discounts are ok for a year or two but in the end people will look at the quality only, so Asian Paints will definitely bounce back
These are just thoughts brother. On the ground ki reality kuch aur hai.Asian paints is old realible brand but now there are problems going on.Let me tell you practical example. Last year we bought asian paints paint for house use. In month of june july where heat is extreme, the paint was not drying. It didn't dry for 2 days which had to he dried in 2 hours at that temperature. We had bought it from very renowned shop. Something was fishhy , either it was duplicate or original with problem. After that we ignored asian paints everytime and bought berger paint. We had not that much expectations with berger but the result was amazing. It dried quickly and the glossines/shine was out of the world which we didn't get in asian paints ever. After that we always prefer berger one. The point is that other companies are also doing great. Asian paints has reputation but there are some great players in the market which is grabbing market share from asian paints.
As Warren Buffett said.. " Be fearful when everyone is greedy and be greedy when everyone is fearful ". So this is the best time to invest in Asian paints.
I am a dealer of Asian paints and berger paints and what i observed is birla opus is soon going to discontinue that 10% discount because it is unsustainable and also they are smartly playing with the density of the material, suppose there is a 20L bucket of paint of birla opus the weight of that bucket is around 27kg whereas in asian and berger it is 29to 30kg and after adding that 10% extra paint it is close to its competition it is a smart marketing move but soon this offer will end according to my source
Being a AP dealer I know what's cooking now in the paint industry. JSW Paints couldn't sustains in the market more then 1 and half years.. and I am sure the history is going to repeat. So it's my advice to all AP dealers to just sit tight and enjoy the BIRLA OPUS's T20 match. 2025 End BIRLA OPUS will Rest In Peace. And for LONG TERM Invester like me. Just keep faith on The BIG GIANT ( ASIAN PAINTS) and HODL. 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I m an asian paints dealer from last 50 years. The worst thing about asian paints is company itself is creating too much competition.. Dealers are frustrated absolutely no margin.only about 2-3% and sometimes 0% also..how dealer will survive.. Company is only busy in pushing material to dealers..dealer inventory going upto 2-3 month,, company ko ghanta fark nai padta dealer kaise survive kar raha hai..now all dealers are trying to promote other companies.. Birla, jk, jsw..asian paints monopoly should end.. Now...

I think impact of Birla Opus and JSW Paints on existing paint companies like Asian Paints and Berger can be analysed by looking at the past volumes of these companies and industry. New cmpnies like Birla will snatch more market share from Akzonobel and other small players instead of AP or Berger. Analyse the volumes instead of revenue.
According to my analysis: It's over priced. Last 4 years me profit 3x hua hai but share prize more than 20x ho gya. Jis speed se price badha hai, us speed se profit bhi badhna chahiye but nahi badha. PE to uad gya hai. Ye company manufacturing wagarh karti hai to asset heavy company honi chahiye, to book value bhi acchi honi chahiye but wo bhi nahi hai.
Please understand one thing, people are dependent on one person when paint is concerned that is painters and they know if they go with the other brands, they will loose the contract, so at the first instance, they say that I will use Asian Paint, and the person who is giving the contract does not care about other players, they will simply go with the Asian Paints

As a civil engineer I am blindly confident on Asian Paints.. No other players can match the quality of Asian Paints.. AP is like one time investment.. These Birla Opus, Berger,JSW are cheap quality cheap price Painting Players.. AP😍
Yes bro even my contractor tried to use some other brand - I saw that color my wall it was so super shitty and not that much of a price difference and i went and bought whole Asian paints package and made him the whole flat by that ... I'm a civil engineer, In 2022 Asian paint I'm observe that, they cannot fulfill material demand on time they delay to much, so we start finding out other companies as an option & this problem is very large , & a contractor & client both finding other options.
Birla Opus’ aggressive discounting strategy, while effective in capturing market share, is unsustainable in the long term as it pressures margins and profitability. Asian Paints, on the other hand, stands out with its established brand loyalty, strong distribution network, and premium product offerings. Its focus on innovation, operational efficiency, and decorative paints’ dominant market share positions it well for recovery as the industry stabilizes. Additionally, Asian Paints benefits from consistent demand in both urban and rural markets, making it a resilient player against short-term disruptions.
The problem is the attractive industry which is pulling in new competition every other day. Margins are coming down - new entrants like indigo, jsw, birla are aggressively competing for market share which has pressured the margin. Now this could go on for some time till a consilidation takes place or till the current supply falls below demand due to underinvesting in capacity. There is no supplier power here.... supplier is the supplier to the industry. Like chemical companies. Who are fragmented or commodity types. Buyer power is also non existent as buyer is hugely fragmented. So revise your porter understanding.

Here's something I think everyone should consider. It's not only Asian paints or paints industry. All the stalwarts, like HUL, DMart, Bajaj Finance, etc have slowed down in the last 2-3 years. And same goes for Asian paints. When suddenly every sector faces slowdown, this is a typical sign of entire economic slowdown. The RBI rate hikes have started affecting the economy. I don't think anybody comes close to Asian Paints in paint industry. I truly believe it's an economic slowdown, and Asian paints will rise again.

Sir, while I respect your intentions to disclose the facts and market conditions in this field, i feel you have to do a lot of research before posting it in on youtube. Am in this field and there are couple of things which I could notice which is not accurate. First thing is Asian Paints payment terms for cash discount is 1-2 days for shops within the city of the depot. Secondly, birla opus offers 10 percent extra materials for bulk packs and there is no refund on scanning as claimed in the video. So please take true opinions and details from the ground as it will misguide prospective customers with inaccurate knowledge. Apart from this, I liked the video as it highlighted the true discontent against a big company known to go the distance to convince share holders without considering the plight of customers and dealers.
You didn't consider the major factor: The industry itself is growing at a rapid pace. These legacy Companies having the lead will be the winners. Asian paints won't be behind.
I recently got exterior damp proofing and painting done for my house. We have a total of 3 floors. Just my input, nothing beats the quality of Asian paints. Although the dealers push Opus & other brands but reputed painters on the other hand still prefer AP and are not willing to sacrifice their reputation for a different alternative. AP is time tested. You get your home painted only a few times in your life time. With the high labour and scaffolding cost, the customer like me is not willing to go for cheaper alternative. I will pay once and I demand quality. Thoda zyada lena hai lelo but ek baar hoga sahi se hoga. AP is innovative and have recently introduced graphene paints also. Even more durable.
Thank you so much Prasad sir for making this video. I was thinking that why Asian Paints share is stable since last 3 years. Now i got to know the reason.

Recently, visited JSW exclusive paint shop. Many painters and shop owner good friend was telling, can't compare paint finish with Asian products. As all paint Cos stocks are under correction mode and can't blame on Asian business legacy. Its a great Co and wish all new competitors also deliver good quality and supply chain.
I feel paint industry is a small pond, Asian Paints is a big fish, nothing will happen to it, no matter which new player comes. This could be a temporary disruption. Having said that, keep an eye on the quarterly numbers, if they indicate otherwise, then it will be pack-up time. Very good heads-up video from Prasad Sir as usual.
Seems like a good opportunity to buy more Asian Paints, I had it (3% of my portfolio), will make it 10% in next 2 years, 2/3 bad quarters are ok, as I'll be holding for 5/6 years.
I m ap deler fr 40 years mark my words just go and buy ap and just look ur return in 3 to 4 years.its life time opportunity f investors. Pl note this is my personal opinion. pl note ap never ask dealers pay in 5 days this is absolutely wrong.
Wo sab to thik hai but ye jo log wall par print nahi kar ke UPVC and pallen laga raha hai and other item uss se bhi to print ki kuch demand kam hogi as a dealer aap kya bolte ho
Asian paints knows how to bounce back, in last 3 years despite of bad performance its stock, asian paints consistently increasing its sales and profit have faith guys.
Indian Corporate Bond Holders are Buying More & More Credit Default Swaps(CDS) it's just similar to 2008 Lehmann Brothers May 2024 CDS - 69 Currently CDS - 84
It is very difficult to beat a 60% market holder. Yes big giants like JSW and Birlas can do it. But a comparative study of Shalimar Paints can be done to understand the Paints industry over the past 100 years. The OP Jindal Group (father of Sajjan Jindal who owns JSW Paints) owned Shalimar since 1989 but could not bring a turnaround. AP was that good. If Asian Paints owners decide to put their heads into the game, they can bring a turnaround. If they become disinterested, then its game over for AP.😊
I think Asian Paints will do well in the upcoming years because Asian is a company which has faced an intense amount of competition from Berger, Delux and Nerolac in the past years. Coming to the point Birla Opus is offering high discounts to customers and higher margins to dealers but remember that they have those 10,000 crore which they have to spend but after this large reserve Starts draining out then dealers and customers will become unhappy again. So, I feel that the underperforming is just for short and long term but once the paint market comes down to basics then clearly I think Asian Paints will perform better.
Soch ne wali baat ye hai ki Birla 20 days ki credit kyu de rahi hai Reason No. 1 Birla paint market me pakad jyada karna chah ti hai Reason No. 2 Birla Market me struggle kar raha hai isiliye market me tike rahene ke liye 20 Days ka credit de eaha hai Soch ne wali ye hai Birla & jsw dealar ko jyada margin denge to Company loss to nahi karegi Wo Customers se wasoolegi ya Quality me Compromise karegi WHAT YOU THINK Friends Reply
Yes but Consumer Mindset is chaning Previous Generation repaints houses only after 7 years atleast now People are repainting for 3 or 5 years So people are not looking for Quality here discount wins.
Painting a new house is also a huge investment for an average man for next 5-6 years. So I went for ASIAN PAINTS ROYALE. If it was a rental property or anything else I would have gone with the cheapest alternative available like Opus. But for personal house Asian Paints is best.
I am buying Asian paints Enamel paint. Yesterday I bought Berger Enamel. I was surprised to see much better quality and thickness of Berger Enamel compared to Asian paints.
Wheneve I want to have unbiased reviews, I check your opinion as you have build a trust which reflects from your behavior. Subscribed and followed you.
Asian paints sales strategy is killing retailers by direct selling b to c in the name of contractor sale and by opening too many counters in a small town beyond the potential of that perticular town, which is creating compitition among the asian paints retailers itself. So, many retailers are attracted to other brands, and there retailers are making money. That's the reason Asian paints are increasing net profits but loosing market share.
Discounts can give them short-term benefits, but if you don't have quality, it won't work. Asian paint will bounce back in the coming years.. I know it's quality
Bhai ye toh hona hi tha. Tum agar dusaro ka market kharab karo ge, toh dusare bhi tumhare market mai entry karege. Asian paints pehle sirf paint mai focus kar raha tha. Abhi inhe ye sari cheez bechni hai •Putty •Tools (brush, sand paper, roller brush etc.) Ye toh fir bhi samaj aata hai ki painting material hai par. Plumbing and bathroom fittings like •Shower •Taps and fitting etc Furniture materials like •Adhesive •Masking tape etc Asian paints ne putty bech na suru kiya. jissey Birla and Jk ka market kharab hua. Asian paints ne Adhesive (furniture material) mai Pidilite ka market kharab kiya jo ki Fevicol ke liye famous hai. Aur paper tape(masking tape)mai Abro kar ke company hai ussey bhi kafi effect hua. Plumbing mai Jaguar jaisi company ke market capture kiya. Jo ki tap and bathroom fittings banati hai Ab ho sakta he aane wale time mai Pidilite bhi koi paint le ke na aa jaye
It is like telling Ola will take the market share from Bajaj & Hero. Those who already established for last few decades, they are going to stay. With push on Infra & chance of rate cut which will push the housing sector, supplement industries like Paints, Cement etc will grow further.
Our painter says that the paints are coming more diluted, and that they can't add much water. That means we need to buy more quantity at prices that steeply increased in the last few years. Also competion is also increasing from JSW, Birla etc.
When companies make too much profit margin, customers suffer. Never liked the quality of Asian paints but didn't have any options. Its a win for us consumers now that we have more options.
Birla will burn cash like anything. If AP can resist competition for 5-7 years, then eventually Birlas will have to answer shareholders and bring in parity with the market leader to show profits.
Go to any mobile store and ask for mobile. They will say take oppo and vivo. Because they highest marhin to sellers. But these phones have less specifications than competition. samsung, mi, realme, iqoo give more specs in less money. But the seller will always recommend what best for thier profits.

@@dgaria1 premium royal equivalent also used ...but I did not like d final output .. Shine finish looked like complete oil paint...on wall ..
For 1st primer on new wall
I use 1 coat of birla opus primer
Later 2/3 coats of birla white putty
Then sanding , then apply gattu paint , then apply 2 coats of Royal
@@dgaria1Bhai asian ki quality birla opus se better hai in premium exterior category (ultima vs true look). Baki companies ka mai nhi janta. Birla bus 2 litre free ke chakkar me bik raha hai. Interior ka abhi nhi pata
Very nice analysis. Kudos to you.
Maine isi sal Birla Opus ko contract diya tha Ghar me painting ka.
Fully satisfied.
Thanks sir ji very useful information in very simple language ❤ Great
Please do research on Reliance too
I feel paint industry is a small pond, Asian Paints is a big fish, nothing will happen to it, no matter which new player comes.
Birla Opus
JSW
Berger 15% down
Kansai nelolac 10%d

I m ap deler fr 40 years mark my words just go and buy ap and just look ur return in 3 to 4 years.its life time opportunity f investors. Pl note this is my personal opinion. pl note ap never ask dealers pay in 5 days this is absolutely wrong.
Wo sab to thik hai but ye jo log wall par print nahi kar ke UPVC and pallen laga raha hai and other item uss se bhi to print ki kuch demand kam hogi as a dealer aap kya bolte ho
Thanks for the informative video👌
Please make a video on Tata Motors.
Very well explained! You made a complex topic so easy to understand.
I am very happy to say that I am working as a project manager at Birla Opus Paint.
Because they provide higher salary than other 😉
Because Asians paint not respect our Employees
Money matters not the company😮
Asian paints knows how to bounce back, in last 3 years despite of bad performance its stock, asian paints consistently increasing its sales and profit have faith guys.
Indian Corporate Bond Holders are Buying More & More Credit Default Swaps(CDS) it's just similar to 2008 Lehmann Brothers
May 2024 CDS - 69
Currently CDS - 84
News/information source ????
@dexter_001 Just Google it
It is very difficult to beat a 60% market holder.
Happiest mind bhi 3 saal se 800 ke aaspas hi rehta hai is par bhi deep analysis video banaye please
1 saal pahle hi banaya hua hai, ❤❤❤❤
I think Asian Paints will do well in the upcoming years because Asian is a company which has faced an intense amount of competition from Berger, Delux and Nerolac in the past years. Coming to the point Birla Opus is offering high discounts to customers and higher margins to dealers but remember that they have those 10,000 crore which they have to spend but after this large reserve Starts draining out then dealers and customers will become unhappy again. So, I feel that the underperforming is just for short and long term but once the paint market comes down to basics then clearly I think Asian Paints will perform better.
भईया इसी तरह केस स्टडी करिए ।बहुत शानदार रहता है आपका विश्लेषण।
Soch ne wali baat ye hai ki
Birla 20 days ki credit kyu de rahi hai
Reason No. 1 Birla paint market me pakad jyada karna chah ti hai
Reason No. 2 Birla Market me struggle kar raha hai isiliye market me tike rahene ke liye 20 Days ka credit de eaha hai
Soch ne wali ye hai Birla & jsw dealar ko jyada margin denge to Company loss to nahi karegi Wo Customers se wasoolegi ya Quality me Compromise karegi WHAT YOU THINK Friends Reply
Happiest minds fundamental analysis
Exellent Study Dear Prasad Ji Thanks❤🙏
Asian name hi kaafi hai, logo ke mindset hai asian paint ke baare mai ye trust hai asian paints ka
Next analysis should be for Avenue Supermart (D mart)
Yes but Consumer Mindset is chaning Previous Generation repaints houses only after 7 years atleast now People are repainting for 3 or 5 years So people are not looking for Quality here discount wins.
Thanks a lot, Prasad! Very helpful. Please advise about Wockhardt and Alkem.
Many smiles and much metta.
AADHAR HOUSING FINANCE,
please review this stock as I feel this stock have more potential than Bajaj housing finance

Great analysis 👍🏼
Will b still b invested in Asian Paints in my home and in my portfolio.
Painting a new house is also a huge investment for an average man for next 5-6 years. So I went for ASIAN PAINTS ROYALE. If it was a rental property or anything else I would have gone with the cheapest alternative available like Opus. But for personal house Asian Paints is best.
Did you use asian paints for your house? I did
Me too
Terrific competition going on in paint industry. Though Asian paints is the market leader, growth will be stunted.
Ab ye market kharab hone wali hai ....jisme sari companys ko dikkat hogi 🤔sirf High demand hi growth la sakti hai
Prasad, when we say Supplier power, it does not mean the dealer power...it is basically the suppliers to the Asian Paint...
I am buying Asian paints Enamel paint. Yesterday I bought Berger Enamel. I was surprised to see much better quality and thickness of Berger Enamel compared to Asian paints.
Loved the analysis thanks you
I guess next sector shall be cement or steel😊
As you wish
Wheneve I want to have unbiased reviews, I check your opinion as you have build a trust which reflects from your behavior. Subscribed and followed you.
Please make a detailed video on renewable sector and semiconductor sector.
When fuel price drop and renewable energy size is increasing then Asian paints will jump.
That's the reason Asian paints are increasing net profits but loosing market share.
paint business down jane ka reason WALL STICKERS bhi ho sakta kyuki log ise jyada use karne lage hai😎😎😎😎😎😎

Discounts can give them short-term benefits, but if you don't have quality, it won't work. Asian paint will bounce back in the coming years.. I know it's quality
Rashmika looks so cute in the Birla opus ad 😁, uske wajeh se switched to opus from Asian paints for my contracts

😂😂
Bhai ye toh hona hi tha. Tum agar dusaro ka market kharab karo ge, toh dusare bhi tumhare market mai entry karege. Asian paints pehle sirf paint mai focus kar raha tha. Abhi inhe ye sari cheez bechni hai
•Putty
•Tools (brush,sand paper,roller brush etc.)
Ye toh fir bhi samaj aata hai ki painting material hai par.
Plumbing and bathroom fittings like
•Shower
•Taps and fitting etc
Furniture materials like
•Adhesive
•Masking tape etc
Asian paints ne putty bech na suru kiya. jissey Birla and Jk ka market kharab hua.
Asian paints ne Adhesive (furniture material) mai Pidilite ka market kharab kiya jo ki Fevicol ke liye famous hai. Aur paper tape(masking tape)mai Abro kar ke company hai ussey bhi kafi effect hua.
Plumbing mai Jaguar jaisi company ke market capture kiya. Jo ki tap and bathroom fittings banati hai
Ab ho sakta he aane wale time mai Pidilite bhi koi paint le ke na aa jaye
Lagta he opus ,jio ki strategy follow karra he
It is like telling Ola will take the market share from Bajaj & Hero. Those who already established for last few decades, they are going to stay. With push on Infra & chance of rate cut which will push the housing sector, supplement industries like Paints, Cement etc will grow further.
Canera bank
Union bank
Bank of india
Inki PB value se bhi kam market value kyse ho sakete hai explain why???????
They are just undervalued, the whole sector. This also applies to PNB and Bank of Baroda. This might be the right price to enter and hold for 6 months
Best time investing in Asian paints ..guyzz go forward they will surelyyy bounce backkk....
Jio Finance
Birla will burn cash like anything.
If AP can resist competition for 5-7 years, then eventually Birlas will have to answer shareholders and bring in parity with the market leader to show profits.
Are bhai paint ab krwata kon he.....ek aur competition k bare me aap bhul gye...
Jo sasta he and 3 se 4 year chalta bhi he.....

Go to any mobile store and ask for mobile. They will say take oppo and vivo. Because they highest marhin to sellers. But these phones have less specifications than competition. samsung, mi, realme, iqoo give more specs in less money. But the seller will always recommend what best for thier profits.
Har ghar mein unke mata pita aur buzurg ka astitva aur aashirwad hamesha rehta hai ......inn gharo mein kahin na kahin Asian Paints use hua hai ..........isiliye jab bhi ghar ko paint kare ........Asian Paint kare ❤❤
Birla giving %benifit to delar as well as customer but it can not possible for long time,
With out giving percentage asain paint's profits decrease,
In future will see those companies will in big loss
