I was a Marine who got sent down to the border to help Border Patrol deal with human trafficking and other issues related to that. After seeing human trafficking first hand, It’s really incredible to see you doing this, Mike. Thanks for all you do. Glad I could help raise that money and get a sick patch out of it as well
Thank you for championing this fundraiser and building the awesome Tremor to giveaway! You made a huge difference. Hooray to all of you who bought raffles or donated to this cause..
It was great talking to you at the show this weekend Mike, thanks for being awesome and staying genuine. Glad you did another Tacoma vid and can’t wait for a good ole’ weekenderlander!!
My Tundra was totaled last month. It was my passion project. I had all the gear & kit, bolted most of it on myself. Anyways, really glad I had the opportunity to help raise money to fight against human trafficking and got a couple cool patches out of it!
I want to say thanks for what you have done over the last year with A21. I couldn't afford much, but I did buy a cool hat. If I win great but if not its all good because the money is going to a great cause. Again thanks
I eagerly await seeing the Tremor sitting in my driveway. That'll make the perfect hunting setup later on this year, as well as camping all throughout the year. Thanks for building my truck Mike! 👍
Ask your vet for cerenia for motion sickness. Works like a charm for our husky. Only have to give 2 hours before driving and it last for 24 hrs. It’s a little spendy but well worth it. We went through chewey who contacted our vet. Our vet called to ask a few questions and chewy fulfilled the order. Our 60 pound husky only needs a 1/4 of the pill to work. We hide the pill piece in peanut butter. Hope this helps! Now please start making holster for the PSA dagger . lol
Mike... I have had a Tech license since 2000... I am presently working on getting my general upgrade. HF while overlanding solo is a valuable communication option (though I am still partial to a Garmin inReach as a backup) the question pools change in June 30 2022 for Tech (for those considering getting a license know and understand your deadline. As of July the new tech deadline will be 2026) General updates in 2023 and Extra updates in 2024. The Tech license is easy to get. a month of studying for the test should be plenty for most people.
Thank you for this and your effort! I use to work in the advocacy HT field and worked in Direct Services for HT survivors. I also recently have a Tacoma and love your videos! You are amazing for this awareness!!
I'm definitely one of those nerds who loves their "command center" dash. 😁 Thanks for the update video, I always find something new to consider or some solution that I had been looking for!
Trucks looking nice Mike I just picked up the big brake kit for my tundra and went with the gray anodized have to have it installed now company super cool to work with talk to do for about two hours he’s full of information have a blessed day
This spring I'm planning to take the plunge on a RTT. Maybe it will come with a new truck??? But in any case, looking forward to what you have to say about the new Skycamp 3.0.
@Last line of defense I've been eyeing that solar panel on the hood. looks like an arcadia? how do you like that for keeping the battery topped and charging the gizmos?
do you think the CBI aluminum bumper would be good against animal strikes . we have a ton of elk and deer like you do in colo here in northern new mexico (angel fire and taos ) i wanna save weight but would that sacrifice the protection of a steel CBI
Hi LLOD. I just want to get your honest opinion whether the KC Hilites gravity pro 6 which you're using is producing so much wind noice. I'm planning to have one.
Any chance you can show us how you “water proofed” your bed, I’m rocking a similar setup and the space around my tailgate gets soaked even in the lightest of rains.
Would you recommend manual or automatic for someone who's looking to buy a Tacoma for offroading/prepping etc? I have a ton of experience driving manual onroad but no experience offroad.
I remember you originally had an SE Diamond back cover. Do you still have the SE on this current configuration? If you did switch to the HD, why? Thank you! I’m torn between spending the extra 500.00 for the HD.
Hi, new channel sub and enjoying what vids I have watched. Im considering venturing into overlanding and your channel will be very educational for me. I was quickly glancing at your vids (watched your Tundra vid where you described your wheels and tires) and did not see a similar vid on your current Tacoma setup. I very much like your Tacoma wheel/tire setup. If time permits, Would you please provide a link to a video where you discuss your current Tacoma wheels and tires, and if no video exist, please provide the wheel and tire brand, sizes and model. Thank you and keep up the good work. Love the videos and channel. 👍 Scott.
How does your truck ride man? I got a 22 sr5 and lookin to some stuff to it but after my other lift kit I did on a Colorado I do not want it to ride terrible
Will the big brake kit fit on OEM 16" wheels? I've been looking at upping to 17" to fit bigger brakes but then I need new tires.. more unsprung weight etc. Thoughts?
Always love the Content. Curious, if you could do it over again would you have went with a larger/full size truck from the start? Or would you still have gotten the Tacoma and went down the same path with that?
Don't ask me why but try green jelly beans for Maple's car sickness.....hope it helps. (Not the fancy kind, just the cheapy dollar store ones.) 2 or 3 about half an hour before you leave should do it.
Hey brother. Awesome Taco. Love how everything ties in together. How are you fighting underbody rust out there? I'm in the NorthEast just wondering if there are any other tips and tricks from that way.
Not sure if they use salt on the roads in Colorado. They do here in mountains of NC. I undercoat my Taco every Fall. I use Fluid Film and spray it with Woolwax gun and wand kit that attaches to a compressor.
@@richardarellano9132 I have a 2014 Tacoma that I purchased used a few years ago. It had some frame surface rust when I got it. The Fluid Film has stopped the rust from getting any worse and turns the existing rust to wetter darker black appearance that does not resemble rust anymore. they don't use the same salts on the roads here in CO. i have an 07 taco thats nearly rust free, body and frame. that said, i'd not buy one from back east if it was the last one available.

The tank is mostly useless, it doesn't hold enough volume to run air tools properly and at most it will fill a single tire fast and then after that the compressor will run all the time while doing the others. Its like filling a tub with water then filling a bucket on the same facet that is filling the tub and then dumping the bucket into the tub thinking that you are filling the tub faster.
You are wrong about big brakes! big break does not reduce stopping distance, it only allow you to run it at a higher temperature before encountering brake fade.
I had a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road and boy was that thing a dog. I felt like I was abusing it driving it the way I drive. I can't imagine how awful a Tacoma with this amount of weight would feel in the power department. They need about 400 HP.

Did you use the engine brake a lot on the Tremor when off-road? My super duty almost doesn't need brakes when you put her in tow haul mode.

Automatic is easier. Some TRD models have a crawl control that is a huge convenience. But if you prefer driving a manual, you'll probably miss it.
