I have the same model. Did the same process as you. Ran for one season. Then start having the same problems again. Most unreliable lawnmower I've ever brought.
I have a Troy Bilt lawn mower that is basically new. I have only used it twice. When I first used it, it started fine. Now, it will not start. I have not abused it or misused it and already it won't start. I am not a mechanic and I am mad that this is basically a new lawn mower and I am already having trouble with it. Older lawn mowers that I have had ran for a long time before pooping out. I wouldn't recommend a Troy Bilt lawn mower to anybody. They obviously have a basic flaw to them.
@@jackgarcia3301 - No, I never got the thing to work again. I just did my yard with a weed eater since I live in a drought area now and the grass isn’t growing much anyway. I have heard other complaints about Troy Built lawn mowers and other Troy Built equipment. Not ever buying another one.
A good video, but I have a problem with Troybilt . I'm trying to help a 93 year old lady with her 1 year old troybilt mower and they wanted to have me pay $5.00 in order to get help from a tech person. I have cleaned the carb. and it still starts and goes dead, won't stay running. I would think a little free help would be in order given the fact that she is 93 and I'm investing my time money and efforts to help her free of charge
@@jimmyhuffman6802 I'm a little bit off topic but I can't believe how unreliable certain things are. I brought a flat-screen TV, laptop, PC and this lawnmower all around the same time within in two years either this stuff stopped working or had problems with them.
I have a TB115 TroyBilt that I acquired for no start issue. I cleaned the carb, cleaned and flushed the fuel tank and installed a new plug. It is now running fine, but it backfires when I shut it down. Any help? It also seems like it is running too fast and maybe getting a little overheated, but not positive about that but since I cant find any info on correct RPM for this 140cc I have not even run a test on it since I can see no adjustment anyway. Thanks.
Thanks for the advice it seems as if the the 110 is troybilts problem child my dad bought this probably 6-7 years ago and it's only been used maybe a handful of times...got a 25+ yo MTD with a techumseh I'm trying to find a rebuild kit for cuz it runs great but she gets hot and that means it's burning oil
Awesome video! Same mower all of sudden high idle throttle max out? Carburetor is cleaned, im not that mechanical inclined. Is there governor adjusting at all a trick? Could be spring. Cant find layout anywhere online for mower diagram how parts go on and off

Got same mower, only worked 1 time and now won’t start! Gonna try this. Just what I was looking for! Thanks!
I don't clean carburetor wasting my time, I just replaced it 18$ new carburetor adjusted from manufacturer runs perfectly.

Did you get your lawnmower fixed if anything change the gas
Within two years I started having problems. This lawn mower is a piece of crap I'll never buy anything else from them.

If you remove the float bowl or the bolt in the bottom of it does gas continually run out?
There's what's wrong, it's got a briggs and stratton plastic carburetor, the one that they put on all these engines right before they went belly up 👆.
This has got to be the most unreliable lawnmower I've ever brought. After two years start having problems with it never again.
@@josron6088 I had a car, suv, that way.

Ended up putting on a new carb. Runs perfect. No over rev or overheating. Something had evidently gone wrong in the old carb. Sold to new owner.
I have the same problem. Cleaned carb , but didn't remove that plastic part and clean.. here we go . Thanks.
This guy didn't show how you clean the main jet correctly. That small white part he removed from inside the carb.
I did part of this and put it all back together, but after watching this, I'll try it again tomorrow!
Any questions just ask!
You gots bad gas.
I'm dealing with this exact mower........cleaned the carb out and it still won't go
Can you dribble some fuel into the spark plug to make sure it will run? Also make sure your needle/seat are good and your float it moving as it ahould
I'll check it out again tommorow
Is there any way to retrofit anything on it to run manually
Not that I have seen. There is also the main jet that if it has any debris in it that it won't run. That is usually right in the center of the carb.

Use ethanol free gas
I have moved all my small engines to this. It is a life saver and not too much more $.
Just exactly what I need to do to mine thanks , I’m sure it will be harder for me lol 😂
You got this!
I got it off now I have to get a hex thingy lol 😂
@@ASliceofWoodWorkshop I fixed it!! I had a screw left over and broke one screw off, but it runs lol 😂
