- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. My daughter (12) and I were watching your videos while babysitting my great niece. My mom showed up and said "Hey, that's the clog kid!!" In other words, 4 generations of my family think you're awesome. 👍👍 The "angry beaver" one cracks my daughter up.

At one point Idaho realized that beavers had been trapped out of existence in the remote wilderness areas. but were still plentiful in areas near their large towns. So they built special cages, and parachuted them in to the wilderness sections. They needed special traps that would protect the beavers from the impact, but would break apart on landing. They got them to work, and beavers moved back into the wilderness, helping build ponds that protected areas from forest fires and also helped with soil erosion.

One of my favorite things to watch before I go to bed
stockings and boot liners made from Gortex will stop the feet from getting wet even if the boots start leaking. Gortex is also breathable.

I've got a spot holding a foot of water at least on my mail route I keep thinking of taking out. 3 culverts all blocked and evidence it is undermining the road severely and going over it as well. Do you have anywhere I could post the pictures if I do for others to enjoy the work.

Huh. I've plugged/patched tires before, but how does one repair a rubber boot? I don't imagine reaming out the hole and stuffing it with an epoxied twist would result in anything comfortable.

The rubberized twists and rubber cement are really only meant for temp repairs on car tires.
The long-term patches for car tires, rubber boots and bicycle tires are all pretty much the same. A flat piece of soft rubber attached with rubber cement after lightly scoring the inner surface.
The ones for car tires can have a tapered 'probe' attached to the middle of the patch to be pulled through the hole in the tread to fill the hole and help secure the patch until the rubber cement starts to cure.

In site #3, if you had a long tree or pole, couldn't you nudge or push the beaver dam sticks and mud, past the crushed section of the culvert, and clear it that way??
