Look into a Silky saw. Japanese, super aggressive, tapers from teeth to back such that it can only be pinched in a very small piece of wood. I have a 7" folding saw that would have parted that 6" branch in less five minutes with average effort.

It's all fun and games, until you wrench your back, tryin to move a log, that's too heavy. If he had a 14" Silky Bigboy, he could have been way more productive, cleared that one and went looking for the next.
I knew Post 10 would find a way to move that massive blockage, I just didn't know it would entail snakes, leaches, and a dunking as well as eating flies. One of your best ever Post 10. You are an inspiration to a lot of people, but I love it when I see/hear of kids following in your footsteps and learn perseverance and the feeling of a job well done.
You should carry a come along to remove the heavy branches. You can’t always remove by hand. If your so dedicated to removing the blockage. Just a suggestion.

It doesn't have to be that deep to get soaked unless you are one porky fella. Post 10 aint porky at all with the amount of exercise he gets doing this stuff. Easily less than a foot of water (to get soaked) I'd say, much less than some of the beaver dams he's drained before.
First I hope you’re getting a tetanus shot and the shot plumbers get fo being around shitty water , protect your health. I appreciate what you do but I would take a picture before & after and take to monthly township meeting and tell their workers are supposed to be doing this on a regular basis especially after storms and if nothing is done go to local tv news station. You have county workers who do nothing in the afternoon but try to find a place to sleep.
