Removing A Huge Blockage. Unclogging Culvert Pipe
Вставка

- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

I love how he always says "we" are doing something or will do something. He makes us feel like we're a part of it when he knows good and well we're just sitting on our couch in our PJ's eating dumplings.
I wonder what we are going to do next, stacee? You n me and Post and Ghost. We're such a great team and get lot's of stuff done!
I think he takes his lady friend with him. Some people have called her “Ghost10” because you don’t see her to often.
If he ever put out a time and a place to help clear a really large and difficult culvert that DOT couldn't get to, he'd have a company-sized element show up with rakes in hand and at least 3 guys would trailer in some type of heavy equipment 😄 The Post Army is _strong_
All UA-camrs say “we”.
He said thank you to the person that handed him the rake.
as someone who does manual labor for a living i know how hard unclogging this probably was. what effort! good job
The mission continues. As always, good job, great content.
That was SO FUN to watch. I just LOVE your videos. When I get the notification of a new one posted, I stop what I'm doing just to watch it!
I'm amazed at how cold and snowy it is still where you live. In the UK it's warm and the trees have leaves growing on them
I was thinking the same thing we've got leaves , blossom and warm sunshine.🇬🇧😁
It's because of the gulf stream. The ocean currents take warm water from the Gulf of Mexico up to Europe causing it to be warmer despite it being at the same latitude as New England and Canada
It's been really sunny in Cumbria x
Thanks for this great video! brilliant idea using magnets. cool to watch 3 different perspectives.
and finally : my favorite ending, driving around with posty. 👍🤗
Kicking back on a rainy day watching Post10 videos..Life is good 👍
That was cool to watch the debris float away as you crawled through the culvert.
You're a hard worker,and nice guy😊
This man is a legend and i would buy him several pints of Guinness!! 😁
Amazed at the amount of water this 'clog' held back. Beautiful to see the lovely area in all seasons.
Angle of camera 2 was perfect. Thanks.
Massive colg! Thank you my day is complete 😃
Wow - that was cool from all the angles
Great addition the stick on light and camera , Wow 3 cameras and nice job in clearing it out.
Loved this! Very cool watching the big clog slowly move downstream on camera 2when you went back in to finish up
This is a satisfaction.
You need a hat on, keep you warm xx
I smash the like button before I watch a Post 10 video because I already know it's going to be awesome.
Awesome work as usual Post. The light and magnets were a nice improvement for this video.
Great work it’s always a pleasure to watch your videos …
Great video. Love the in culvert sound and view.
Hope your friends and family are okay.
Great video.👍👍👍
❤❤❤meant really for culverts that get plugged up easily or are susceptible to damage
Hi Post! Glad to see you’re wearing gloves. I always get concerned when you aren’t. Like the new haircut (hehe)
Very good worker
That was a great result Postie, 💙💛💙💛 , loving these vids... I did notice a Stick strike yr face at the beginning, might it be an idea to start to wear some Eye Protection for future jobs ?
That was so neat. Water is such a cool thing to watch. All that debris pushed out by water. Awesome. Would the beavers hear it? Pretty neat.
Love the videos!!
Hi mate and wife I am watching your video right now and I love watching your video thay are great to watch when I am not working
You made a new dam lol
Far out man !

Excellent job dude ❤❤❤
Hitman clears pipe.
You need a bulldozer for that mess lol
Great work P10! 🔥
Hey, post ten, I was gone for a few days. Then come back and you don't have any hair. You have cut your hair in winter? What's up just needed a change. Or was too many spiders following you home ?
I can understand cutting all your hair off in the summer, but BRRRRRRR in the winter!!!! TFS
Beaver builds, man demolishes.
Love all of your videos post 10 keep up the awesome content
The beavers mantra: "Build back better".
Post 10's reply: Tear down faster.
Cool thx ❤
Just another cool video!👍👏
Those magnets are awesome
Post needs a merch store. I'm sure we all would buy something. 🤙🏾
Edit: after looking at his description on his channel I see a merch store, well time to go broke and buy 1 of everything. 😅
I have been on tiktok too much. When you held up that magnet I thought you were going to cast a hp spell. Lol
Great video!!
Good job .. but wezyer ardat?
A man with a mission, and a rake.
Good afternoon everyone hope you are having a good day
You do that culvert so fast. Thought it was going to take more time. Love the 3 cameras
Post, are you going to go back to the culvert where the beaver chased you and they built the damn in the culvert?
What was needed after the unclogging was an inner tube from a truck, just ride on through. 😀👍
Are you sure you don't live in Alaska? half April and still snow? wow!
Wait until the thaw and the beavers start their own "Build Back Better" program!
Good job
雪が降る中お疲れ様です
time for a snack !
that is a lot of wood
Beavers have Easter also 🦫🦫🦫🦫🦫🐥🐣🐤
What would happen if you weren’t so conscientious about clearing all the culverts.
The town responsible would clear it after it started flooding over
Your doing this the hard way. Get yourself a winch and mount it on your heavy duty trailer hitch, then unwind the cable and with a grappling hook on the end, walk down the pipe and attach to the mound of wood, then just retract the winch which will drag out the debris. You might want to use a roller guild on the edge of the culvert to prevent it from bending under the pressure.
I think they should make a Netflix movie about Post 10....
Post 10, you are a brave man having a haircut like that at this time of year, especially with the hobby you have! That is the best clear out in a short time of that one. 👍🦫 "You rotter, you drained our pond again!" 🦫 🦫 🦫 🦫 😳 Nice work man 😎
Hey post10! Love your videos as a civil engineer. I just want to give you this quick tip/explanation after seeing this video. Maybe you already know it, just stating it to maybe help out! It actually does help to clear a downstream clog outside the downstream side of a culvert like you had in this one! The bigger the drop that the water has to make the bigger the differential pressure in the culvert. If you look at the math behind it you want to have the biggest 'h' possible, wich means the bigger the drop in water height, the bigger the differential pressure between the front and back of the culvert (in short). For easy determination and creation of maximum flow in the culvert you can assume that the water level after the culvert should be below the lowest side of the end of the culvert. By clearing debree (lowering the water level) behind the culvert, you can actually increase pressure at the beginning of the culvert, if you trust science!
Sorry if my explanation isn't super clear (I'm from the Netherlands) and I know it isn't always possible to drop the downstream water level to below underside culvert, but science will help clearing the culvert more quickly and efficiently if you can! And the added bonus is that you will create a higher pressure for the culvert in the long run, keeping it clear for longer in the future if you clear the downstream part too!
Thanks for reading and thanks for your selfless work of clearing culverts!
Love the 3 camera angles! Please stay safe! And thank you for all your hard work. People always comment on the city/county/state should hire you. If they did they would tell you you can’t do this any more. They are governed by thousands of rules and you would be too. There is always talk about you having your own tv/documentary series too. If that happened, you would lose all your freedom to do as you please. They too would have thousands of rules. They wold dictate everything. Their schedules and corporate execs would also be in charge. Just a thought.
Another great post 10 video. He can’t make them quick enough for me.
IMO this is one of your top 5 culvert clears! It’s so satisfying watching the clog move out with the pressure buildup from the current 💪🏻
Love watching your vids and greatly admire the selfless work you do, Post. To be a bit grandfatherly, I just wish you would wear some protective eye glasses. I worry that a branch will snap and hit you in the eye causing some serious damage. There. Had to say it.
I also, being a great grandma wish he would wear protective gear!
@@Desertanon Hope Post takes our grandparently advice! ;)
I love the layout of the three-camera setup! Very cool to see the unclogging from all those viewpoints!!
Three cameras!? What's next, special effects?
Hey Post, how do you keep track of all these culverts? Do you have a marked map or is it all just in your head? Love your content
I could probably find 95% of the Culverts i film just from the knowledge in my head
@@post.10 I don’t doubt for a moment that you have it all mapped out in your head!
Of course they're in his head ..Batman I mean Post10 knows all the exits to the cave.
Your back must kill you when your in there Post, just love when you put a video up.
Thank you so much for this.
Kind regards from Scotland 🏴
Johnny
They just call to him during his dreams
Thanks from the Netherlands.
I love how water pushes these sticks and such with such force through these culverts! Thanks for another awesome video! Hope you have a terrific weekend! Stay safe and stay healthy!
Omg. What's going on with your hair? Are you OK? Do you need help??
Beavers gnawed it off when he wasn't looking
I think it's like rabbits changing from white winter fur to brown summer fur, post10 does the same. 😄
This is one of your best. I was really wondering what you were doing until it suddenly started sliding through. Truly amazing.
Very satisfying. Job well done. Where has your hair gone? Hope all is OK.
Did you shave off your hair to show solidarity for Jada Pinkett Smith? Lol
I was *not* expecting that max flow. Wow, Post. Wow. Well done.
Easter egg surpise 🥚 .. post10 video, better than a crap plastic toy 😄
I wasn't expecting a shaved head.
Keeps spiders out of his hair...LOL
Oh wow! Was not expecting the current to be able to wash all that away. Nicely done, Post! This was an all-timer for sure!
Wow I'm getting to know these culverts on sight! This one has provided so many good times of unclogging and ice cracking, up there with the lake drain and the one with the v shaped grate, and of course the super fast road flood drains where it's all gone in like 20 seconds.
This man is doing the right things and he doing it right
Does anyone else find this interesting and highly relaxing?
Sometimes when I'm laying down watching I'll feel so calm and at peace that I end up falling asleep 😂
Love these videos man. Keep that rake moving my friend.
another brilliant video post , the force behind that blockage was surprising a lot more than i thought , your doing a fantastic job , thank you for another great video mate .
You got that one flowing like a river! 😎👍
Every time you crunch through snow takes me back to my childhood when snow was more prevalent. I’m happy to be reminded of the sound, smell and colour of snow and ice. Thanks Post !
We’re up to three camera angles now?
It’s like post10 is evolving into the Les Stroud of clog clearing.
always satisfying to see that water moving freely! great video.
Gotta love it when the pipe poops 💩 out the logs. 🤣
Why’d you shave your head???
To stay cool
I also did an April fools video on my other channel

I give elusive Post 10....10 out of 10 for the WHOOOOO in the culvert. This is the only place you will ever have a chance for a sighting. But please be quiet as not to frighten him or scare him away from this important work,
That’s amazing. Always great and satisfying to see what you do. Thanks clearing them.
Hi Post, are we looking at your younger brother... Of did you have an Easter Haircut???
I must say beavers are pretty smart. How do they even know about building dams? And why do they build them again? To keep the water in or out? And do you ever feel a little bad about destroying the beavers' work? Why don't they put screens or grids on the outside of the culverts?
I have seen several videos of your unclogging and i think you do a great job and service. The only thing i can suggest to you is bring a shovel with you also. I saw the one where you cleared a pipe where the beavers had dammed up with sticks and mud and you were clearing the mud with your hands. Other than that, great job.
Definitely need a warm hat.Don't know if you've shaved your head or what but you lose so much heat through your head and those culverts must be chilly.
Yes that's exactly why I did it, when I'm doing jobs like this I overheat. I run hot so I cut my hair
A lot of people care about you. Good to know you cut your hair just to keep cool. Scared me for minute.
