    Richmond supporter here .
    I’ll help Jack Graham pack . Has stagnated for years and has become a vanilla footballer .
    He is worth a third round pick at best .
    Gets injured a lot too .

    Well balanced opinion of Kornes...I neither hate nor love him as a pundit. He has a role to play but I agree with you that he has erred on the side of overstating criticism of Waterman in particular but also Barrass. People were critical of West Coast failing to seek to trade Gaff and Darling when they still had currency circa 2021, and now he criticises the club for this situation with Barrass? And Jake and his management has every right to leverage his excellent form this season...every player does this. Good stuff mate.

    Our situation is simple, we are in a situation where signing guys like garcia, graham and english are necessary. Over the next 2-3 years we are going to lose a lot of veterans and we dont wanna do a norf, lose to many veterans too fast, get too young and be stuck at the bottom for ten years. We also cant lose all our veterans for nothing of we wont have the the draft capital to get better quick. Those guys will help with the transition while the young guys develop without too much pressure, while trading barrass gets us the picks we need to get that elite young talent in

    The huge irony is this, and I think you'll appreciate this:
    UA-camr - insightful accurate non-dramatic analysis
    "Professional Mainstream Guy) - focusses on dramatic stories, if not invents said drama, doesn't really care about the details.
    Keep up the good work Jesse

    You should listen to what Kane’s said about Richmond and Yze this year. It’s just mean spirited. I actually appreciate Kane on the whole and compared to others he’s actually listenable, but he lets his biases through a lot and it’s noticeable.

    Barrass not happy for a while - looks like he feels undervalued. Either way the only trade bait we have so in everyones interest to move. No one seemed to be concerned about the meeting remaining confidential so something is going on.

      He’s most likely disappointed to be somewhat pushed out of the club considering there was a verbal agreement that he’d be taken care of under Nis. I personally just think he prefers staying in WA but his largest goal is financial security for his family and how he can maximise it through the few years he has left.

    Its a very silly target Jack Graham a defensive midfielder, WCE should just withdraw from offers for Liam Baker and Graham and not bid for Bolton just got to the national draft Jack doesnt really help us would rather use a extra pick in this draft

    I think we should be trying to get games into the youth. If Graham comes that would have Yeo, Kelly Sheed for experience and depth. By the time Yeo, Kelly and Sheed retire in 3 years and duggan spending more time defence our kids will have had enough experience. If Graham plays that takes game time off the kids we need to give games to in the next 3 years

    • @spindoctor6385
      @spindoctor6385 Місяць тому +3

      Graham is only 26. WC are already erring on the side of giving kids games that are unearned. If you are thinking of being a contender in 3-5 years that will make Graham 29-31. Even just for the next year or two, he is in the age range that is severely lacking.
      Being a free agent, it costs zero draft capital to get him, and financially there is plenty of room to move at the moment, he could have a contract that is loaded at the front end.
      This is a win on every level.

      People having no idea that you need some list balance and that we have a hole in the middle age group. We are going to cut a fair group of plodders and adding a couple of 25-27 year olds - particularly high character guys who cost us nothing - is ideal.

    • @joshhowie7657
      @joshhowie7657 Місяць тому +1

      @@Andrew_AU it depends on the position.
      Why add a 25-27 year old mid while we have Kelly, Yeo, Duggan and Sheed.
      That's 4 guys and I'm sure 3 will play most weeks. If we add Graham that's 4 guys rotating through the guts while Reid, Ginbey, Chesser fight for on Ball time. Not to account for the first round pick we pick up this year.
      Hutchy, Maric Culley will miss out on time as well. Why not wait until Yeo, Kelly and Sheed retire before we get more 25-27. That way we will know where chesser, Hewitt, Johnston, Dewar, and the crop of drafties this year. They have Kelly, Yeo Duggan and Sheed to show leadership and standard setting.

    What are your thoughts on Buckley effectively ruling himself out of the WC coaching job? Mitch Cleary reported this morning that Nathan Buckley was asked of his interest in the WC role and he basically said there's none to be had cause he's very happy with where he is right now. Makes things really interesting cause in terms of WC getting a coach, the list of candidates aren't exactly as appealing as past years have been. Least with experienced coaches

    Yeah, mate.. he was on tv after the Derby saying Harley has no mentors to help him in game. Surely he saw the footage of Yeo doing just that. So, he knows what he’s doing. With the Barrass story, Waterman story and now Harley.. he knows full well that it’s bullsh*t. Luckily he can get away with it because no one gives AF about WCE. Worst case: a tonne of clicks & angry fans which he gets off on. We’re getting towards seasons end. He’s tired, and now he’s getting lazy. That’s all this is. Either that or he’s just an absolute kündt. Either way, 💯% deliberate.

    Culley, sheed and LEdwards all probably gone. Cripps might be the Sheed/Darling type jn and out of the side next year as younger players are prioritised.
    Graham can come in and play a defensive mid or half forward role for us that we really lack.
    Im ok with him as he is free.
    An improvement on the bottom part of the list.
    Graham is mates with Baker too, probably means we are getting Baker.
    Good for list age profile with a heap of guys in their 20s and 30s going this year and next i guess

    You are right about Cornes, if anything you give him too much credit. You can go to the pub and get a more rational and considered view of football from the average guy who may be 7-8 pots away from sober.
    The guy is a clown trying to roleplay a shock jock. Delusions of adequacy.

    Fantastic assessment, not sure on the Graham move, not real great for our forward line, particularly the youth, or is it Jack's management pushing the money from Port.
    In regards to Kane, he will cost someone their career with that style of reporting, I read both those articles and was shocked at the vitriol he uses and seems to focus heavilyon West Coast. I seem to remember him calling for Simmo's head by round 4 and when it happened he was why did they do that to such a champion. He would use those tactics to renegotiate any deal he is part of I am sure.

Imagine being his team mate and relise he's loyalty is totally towards money and not the club. It's not like the Eagles or other clubs won't offer more towards the end of his contract. He owes the Eagles some more good football.

    We need two things SCHOFIELD as coach for four year why he took Subiaco to a perfect season undeafted like #remember the Titans# he did that shit for real life guys got skill west coast need right now!!! Two not letting our best players in the right age bracket to not walk hold them to there contracts, barrass and waterman are needed to keep a guy like reid believing in the process because if these two guy leave i can definitely say reids gone because the delopment will take to long , next McGovern is worth a late first round freo,carlton an Essendon all have picks 15,16,17&24 any of this could be exactly what gov is worth, an we get a first rounder, darling is still got a couple years left for a team in the window hes worth a second round pick, sheed the same thing hes worth a second round pick, gaff could be worth a third round to a place like north clarko has talked about adding some maturity!!! Gov needs to be put on the table!!!! Darling has trade capital that your giving him fair value but needs to be moved on!!! Corns has some points thoe!!!! Watermen should have triggers reput into next years contract and barrass should be held to contract that has three years left sure give him two extra years that fair but do not let him walk there are other ways as i just explained to get into the draft and again the draft is not every thing to us this yeär like just adding a guy like lalor and couple of others we still got johnson,hall an reid to come in and alot of the guys that have been played last couple of weeks like jack williams and zane trey and getting tim english in all of a sudden were not a delopment rebuild these guys start to make an in pact an become team to challenge again with a list that not just kid from the draft we really dont need the draft that hard this year because of the guys i just mentioned but we need to keep barrass and waterman to keep the young guys inspired by hook or crook no you dont just get to demand a trade barrass with three years left and McGovern need to be clearly put on the table!!!!!!

      @biggi3st3v3 Місяць тому

      @@avy_moshie it would but there's no way in hell èagles would trade gov to freo. The clubs rarely deal with each other, especially not with star players. Darling maybe late 2nd round to a contender, Melbourne or Collingwood could use him, but it would be a surprise. Most likely scenario is they both stay and barrass goes, but u never know

    • @avy_moshie
      @avy_moshie Місяць тому

      @@biggi3st3v3 geez didn't darling have a game tonight looks like he wants to play for his future, yer govs not going to freo but geez they would be good with him he play pretty good tonight and they got the drafts for it to make sense, he won't be traded but if it was me i would be trying to make it happen for him to get to a club that could get a flag but yer still think letting barrass go is a bad move a not needed one and we have the money to pay him and watermen
      and it makes so much more sense to keep and build around that core spine in my opinion but doesn't look like it going to happen an there going to let him walk i think it a mistake!!!!

    • @biggi3st3v3
      @biggi3st3v3 Місяць тому

      @@avy_moshieyeah darling was great, gov too. Most of the boys were awesome. As much as I hate the idea of barrass leaving, I don't really see that we have a choice. With tassie comong in soon we need to get some more high end picks in. We only have 2 picks inside 40 and this is the draft to have as many as possible. Barrass being contracted means we can squeeze max value out of bulldogs or hawthorn. Set up our future with a big draft while barrass gets another shot at a premiership which we are likely a fair way away from. Success requires sacrifice sometimes.

    Eagles might be near the bottom of the ladder 🪜 that said in their wins they have beaten a top 4 team and lead at half time against the ladder leader plus more.
    Indicating that the team is poised to be a much bigger threat in 2025 !
    With that in mind don't see any potential trade looking at the Eagles being stuck at the bottom in coming seasons. For me I wouldn't be surprised if they seriously challenged for bottom end top eight position in 2025.
