    You are the only one person in the world who tested this Controller on PC. Everybody else just tested on Switch. Thanks a lot

    Finally a review of this little guy :D I feel like it flew under the radar for some reason but I guess it's because the Ultimate Bluetooth / 2.4G version just renders it kind of uninteresting but I love the pastel colors and the much lower price. I just wish they gave us the lavender purple color for this bluetooth version since muted blue / orange and pink aren't my cup of tea and not sure if analog triggers are that important but the motion would make this so good for Wii / Switch emulation. Thanks for the vid !

      I'm glad you enjoyed it! Didn't even consider Wii emulation... may have to try that out.

      I'm using the 8Bitdo Adapter V2 on my PC so that it can be in Switch Pro Controller mode with any Bluetooth Controllers and enable SDL mode. That's how I managed to play Tears of the Kingdom with my PS4 controller for example because it detects the motion so it's handy for aiming with the bow or those infamous ball puzzles. I bet this one with the Adapter would work great :) Not sure if the 2.4GHz version works like that straight out of the box.@@BrokenCircus

    Thank you for testing this on Mister. I'm looking for an inexpensive controller for use on both the Switch and Mister, and this seems to be a good choice.

    Giant fan of the ps2 controller. Personally I like my l2 and r2 as simple buttons. Had this controller had its d-pad on top that would have been my ultimate controller. I cant get everything i guess but i will buy this, considering the price.

    Its on Aliexpress now, for 16 USD. I can't complain about that. i will only use it for Switch as I have better controllers for the PC. So, for me, Im excited about getting it.

    I did buy 3x of the controller. So far, its the best budgdet controller ive seen in many years. I tried the program with it, but program (windows) is prolly not supported yet. But i dont need it, i also checked the firmware. Had also out of the box to date of late march 2024 the latest firmware. (1.4)

    Hey dude thanks for the video, for some reason no one talks about that version of the Ultimate C Bluetooth for NS and even in aliexpress that version is hidden (found the afiliate link on a random brazillian video)
    and I don't know if nintendo is trying to shutdown this controller

    Does the 2.4g version power off after a while to save battery? I wanted to know because there are some games I play on my PC that don't like when the controller disconnects while the game is still running (the DualShock 4 disconnects after about 20 minutes)

    • @BrokenCircus
      @BrokenCircus  7 місяців тому +1

      I can't comment on the 2.4GHz version specifically as I don't have one, but the Bluetooth version does automatically switch off mid-game. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a controller that doesn't, to be honest.

      There's a sync button on the top, next to the USB-C port.

      I don't think the Bluetooth version is able to connect to 2.4GHz - they sell a separate version for that.

    Hi, nice review! Are the joysticks clickable? Would you recommend this for games like Skyrim? How well does the gyro respond?

    • @BrokenCircus
      @BrokenCircus  8 місяців тому +1

      The joysticks are indeed clickable. The gyro seems to work quite well in Super Mario Odyssey, but that's the extent of my tests - I honestly haven't come across any other games that use gyro that much!
      I'd say it'd work pretty well for Skyrim.

    Does it work for iPhone/Android? There is very little information about this controller online, thanks for the video.

    • @BrokenCircus
      @BrokenCircus  8 місяців тому +1

      Just given it a quick test with my phone, and it worked really well. There was a noticeable amount of input lag - more than with my MiSTer - but that may have been down to software rather than the controller itself.

    I may be colour blind I'm not sure, but is that blue one a little on the whiter side because my Nintendo switch is white.

    • @BrokenCircus
      @BrokenCircus  8 місяців тому

      It's a very muted blue. I personally think it'd fit well with a white Switch.
      If you were set on getting a white controller, the 8BitDo Ultimate (not C) controller comes in white.

    Hi, thanks for the review. You mentioned the ABXY keys are swapped , do you know why they are swapped and how to remap them if possible?

    • @BrokenCircus
      @BrokenCircus  8 місяців тому

      They're swapped on this one to match the Nintendo-style layout used on the Switch. The 2.4GHz version, sold separately, has the buttons in the Xbox-style layout, with A at the bottom. As for remapping them, I think you'd have to do it with software, I don't believe there's any way to do it with the controller itself. Thanks for your comment!

    LOL! Yeah it’s only fair to compare it to a an Xbox series controller 🤔
    Not more relevant to compare it to the actual switch Pro controller or even the 8bitdo premium version that it’s based on….
    Poor overview of buttons, D-pad or even specifics on Bluetooth lag. However I can see you have affiliate links - which now makes sense (naff affiliate video)

    • @BrokenCircus
      @BrokenCircus  5 місяців тому

      Thanks for your comment. I don't own a Switch Pro controller, or another 8BitDo controller, so a direct comparison isn't really possible for me.
      I'd also like to point out that the video title specifically says "a quick little review". If you're looking for something more in-depth vis-a-vis lag testing, then this isn't really the right video.
      Finally... where are these affiliate links? I'm pretty sure I didn't include any in the video or in the description.
