Can I Use Exploits To Beat Speedrunners? - Learn To Fly 2 IS PERFECTLY BALANCED

- Learn to fly 2 is one of the greatest flash games ever. If you were to make a flash game tier list this is easily one of the best. Despite releasing in 2011 and flash player ending learn 2 fly is actually still an actively played game with a brilliant speedrunning community.
One of my favourite UA-camrs EazySpeezy even managed to set a great speedrunning time in the game completing the entire thing on day 9. I however am the Spiffing Brit and whilst others play fair. I want to destroy the Ballance of every game I play. That is why today you will be watching a penguin go faster than the speed of sound. Faster than the speed of light and in fact faster than the game can even comprehend.
I hope you all enjoy the show!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced gameplay series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold and infinite money all in a fantastic montage. If you enjoyed this then be sure to check out more. The style is similar to RT game and callmekevin in parts. A large influence on this series has come from Valefisk and The Killian Experience.

*Who knew the fastest way to win was to never even play the game...*
Speeeeed
Guess I won a lot of games
Bro u gotta show me exploits on the greatest AGE game.
AGE OF MYTHOLOGY woot woooot.
It's back baby

The writers of WarGames... probably
HE CAN’T BE STOPPED
Neither can you! Your ability to play so many games and set good times in them is astounding!
@@thespiffingbrit thank you
Seeing youtubers admire each other is one of the most wholesome things on this platform
The crossover I wasn't expecting
True
Can we get a "Breaking Old Flash Games" series? It would certainly fulfill my childhood dreams.
Hell yeah.
Adrenaline Challenge, Fancy Pants Adventures and Line Rider were amazing
Potty racers 3 or 4, whichever was the last one
yeees
@paulelderson934 Really got me with Line Rider there. Right in the nostalgia.
Spiff clicks “Classic Mode” and is immediately met with Skipper saying “You didn’t see anything…”
lmaoo
See what?...... ;)
Blink and you miss it! Or in this case if you didn't blink, you would've missed it anyways...
It's so weird, being born before 2000s, and seeing someone get that happy when they saw that bonus shop isn't microtransaction bulltshit, in an old flash game.
yeak when pc games were cheap, fun and you never spent more to play it. I remember when p2p was was coming out in newer games and we sneered at that until one day we realized they took over with that nonsense.
@@pauls5745Yup. I remember that old webcomic where the punchline was the player had to swipe their credit card every time in order to swing their sword, and now we're living it.
@@WompWompWoooomp Have no idea what you're talking about. I don't remember the last time I was required to buy some in-game shit to play a game. It's all just cosmetics nowadays. If it upsets you that you have to pay for cosmetics and you can't look like batman for free, maybe it's time to go outside for a bit.
@@TunaIRL it's almost like they're being hyperbolic for the sake of a joke
@@harmonicswarm I quite clearly take into consideration the hyperbola and comment on the root, grounded reality that the joke implies.
it's funny how many games have a movement speed stacking glitch in them and how high a percentage of them seem to involve going backwards for some reason
Hello there good sir! It's a pleasure to have you drop by
Nice pfp.
I could be wrong but I think there’s a numerical limit in the flash programs , once it hits that limit it becomes a negative value
@@Natedoog1234 nope you're perfectly correct, and it's not specific to flash games either, every signed integer has a limit after which it will overflow and turn negative
The backwards thing is just because they forgot to put a cap on backwards movement speed because *most* people don't move backwards.
I love how the game literally says "There is no way you got this normally", and then you proceeded to completely break the game by moving so fast you noclipped right through the ramp and cracked the planet as the penguin.
"It came out in 2011"
Me: "ah ok, so it is preatty new"
Me: "dear god"
*You can feel your bones creaking*
lmao
@@thespiffingbritI played that shit back in elementary school, I feel ancient
I remember when this game was new 😭😭😭
"there's more"
"no"
9:04 You've achieved the mythical "divided by zero" miles per hour speed. Well done!
Oh god you're right. I guess that one teacher i had that said if we divided by zero "the world would break" was right, a bit more literally than he probably expected.
game: you cheated, right?
Spiff: you want to be played, right?
game: fair enough.
So basically Spiff reached a top speed of [CALCULATION ERROR]?
Nice. I used to play this game in class, to the dismay of my teachers.
Very epic video, indeed.
I hope you are somehow an astrophysicist thanks to your knowledge of penguin flight
There's also Learn to Fly 3, just in case you might have missed it!
lololol I remember I used to play it all the time in class😂 I had found an exploit at one point completely on accident, it was similar to this vid
For those that don't know NaN stands for not a number in programming and usually happens when you do stuff like divide by zero or take a square root of a negative number. If you do any operations on a NaN like addition, subtraction, multiplication it will always return NaN, and comparing any number with it will always return false.
and for this case its most likely a negative number achieved by an overflow that caused the problem
Idk anything about programming, so if you get NaN when square rooting a negative number does that mean you cant work with complex numbers?
@@GrassFudge7 Complex numbers can't be represented with primitive data types like "float," or a floating point number, which is just a number with decimal places. But libraries exist to work with complex numbers, where the library takes care of how the complex numbers get stored and how their operations work. That said, computers also don't have built in square roots. Calculating square roots requires a written algorithm, and it's up ti the writer of the algorithm how they want to handle negative numbers.
@@benknoodling3683 thank you!! I mostly just stick to math but im having to start taking programming stuff at uni because they're related and i dont really get it lol

This was like the go-to flash game of any good childhood. Getting on coolmathgames during class freetime and racing to 100% the series with your friends before you have to work on the next thing or before the teacher caught you. This was a key game in elementary amd even through some of middle school. I must've fully completed all the Learn To Fly games at least 700 times each. Heck, I've probably finished the first one alone somewhere around 1100 times.
Learn To Fly, Raft Wars, Duck Life, Papa's Pizzeria (along with however many other "Papa's" games there were because there's a LOT), Henry Stickmin and so much more
Plus all those .io games. Kids now and other kids born too late to experience this era truly missed out on one greatest and memorable parts of a childhood
I played on a few different sites, but L2F (1&2), Duck Life (mostly 2), and Papa's [food]ria (particularly Pizzaria and Freezeria) were awesome. I also played the hell out of Strikeforce Heroes 2 (Raze 3 was okay, but SF2 did it better), BTD3 (5 got all the hype, but 3 was the best of them all), Happy Wheels (someone snuck it onto the school's servers), Box Head, and SAS Zombie Assault 2.
Fun times.
Happy Wheels was by far the most popular. It had a website all to itself and many popular youtubers played it regularly. There were a lot of popular websites that had their own games and also stole games from other websites to have a bigger library. In short, too many games to keep track of let alone determine the best or most popular. Well, besides Happy Wheels.
how did I just now realize he has a fake watermark on his images?? lol
Ehm...Fake? Excuse you?
Relatively new to the channel? A few years ago, Shutterstock decided they weren't allowing him to use their images in his videos anymore, so he had to find other free images. He did two or three videos with no watermark, and the audience practically rioted because that was part of his style. SpiffCo graces us with its presence, and it is glorious.
@@torgranael Lovely to hear some backstory, the watermarked images are truly one very recognizable piece of his identity.

The Pengy Brit broke the world so badly that despite living in Antarctica, the cracks in the world appears at the north pole.

7:23 "OH MY GOODNESS I THINK SOMETHING HAPPENED" is incredibly memeable
Oh, i put so much time into this... at school, during lessons.
The true challenge of this game is managing the alt+tab and having something else open that looks like work to fool teachers with
Sadly, it only worked on some teachers. The true legends were the kids that knew how to switch entire instances of windows in an instant. I was not one of them unfortunately. All that alt+tab training has not gone to waste though, as it's necessary when a playlist runs out mid-mission and you have a couple of seconds or less of breathing room to find a new song.
@@torgranael Kids these days have it easy because Windows 10 and 11 have multiple desktops. You can quickly switch between them by pressing Win+Ctrl+Right Arrow and Win+Ctrl+Left Arrow

Penguin nose, the brick last page of gliders, fly backwards, etc (Haven’t watched the video yet)
Still love the Omega catalog
Oh how much I used to play this back on my school given Chromebook. On the bus, booting up several tabs of cool math games (once they were loaded they didn’t need any internet)
Those were good times.
Last thing: Wonder if Spiff will get the blessing of the Penguin God on one of his runs?
Can’t wait to find out!
Man, the days of bonus shops being "this is the rare currency stuff you'll probably only be able to buy some of" instead of "this is the cash shop" were great.
Reminder: This ancient game is more fun than all AAAA games recently.
I agree with the intent, but there is only one AAAA game, and it's an overpriced knockoff of a AA game.
You're probably playing the wrong games then
@@iambicpentakill971 True, they were wrong to play AAA games to begin with when ancient flash games and indie games range from cheap to free and aren't powered by the blood of undercompensated developers on crunch
@torgranael assuming you're talking about skull and bones, what AA game is it a knockoff of? AC4 comes to mind but that was definitely AAA
@@Catnippy I feel like our "A" count confusion serves to highlight what a ridiculous term "triple A" game was to begin with
That Mount & Blade music track at @9:01 really threw me off, thought my game had launched on it's own
I forgot about this game. I miss the golden age of flash games. Back when people would just make silly little games without needing to monetize all of them. I mean I get it, you put in work, its popular, you want to get paid, but as a poor child it was wonderful
This is what I miss about the internet. People made things as passion projects, not as some bullshit like an "influencer" or "content creator"
You went so fast that you broke causality and beat the game before you played it. You only had to play it to ensure the causal loop was fulfilled.
0:33 Actually, in the first game, if you can get enough height on your flight, you can fly over the iceberg..... Am I right about that, or is that the second game? I'm not sure now.
I used to play this game all the time, its weird how big its gotten over the years. On behalf of the community, thank you for trying out the game!
