Nice video Sam, it really serves its purpose. I am glad to be here in your video and share my journey with everyone else to prove that minoxidil actually works !
People! Use some common sense! The number shown isn't how long they've been growing their beards out. It's how long they've been using Minoxidil. These people are using minoxidil to make their beards grow FULLER and THICKER. Not to make their beards grow longer. When it says "6 months" that means they've been using Minoxidil for 6 months, not that they have 6 months worth of growth. Most people keep their beards trimmed down short to make it easier to apply Minoxidil.
I got no beard, no mustache, somewhat filled on my chin. only on neck it's where I grow out the most, but I got genetics from my dad. He's a natural beard. So I think it will accelerate with minoxidil than most people.
Keep it up. It takes a long time to see good results, but it's so worth it. Usually takes a good 3-4 months for most people to start seeing noticeable results and can take up to a year or more to reach your max potential with minoxidil. I used minoxidil for 2 years before I stopped, though I probably could've stopped a lot earlier. I just wanted to make sure my gains were terminal before I stopped, so I wouldn't lose any of them. I've been off for roughly 3 years now and still have my beard. I'm actually jumping back on minoxidil now to see if I can take it even further. Consistency and patience is key! Good luck!
@@striker0603 yes, definitely seeing alot of new hair coming but probably gonna have to use for one more year to get the beard I want and use dermaroller as well
Beard Profile hey dude if thats you at 2 .25, epic beard dude. i was wondering if you used derma rolling in conjunction with minoxidil to get those epic gains? would appreciate a response thanks.
Hey there. That's me indeed, thanks for the compliment! And I did use the derma roller several times and I attribute some of the gains to it. I tend to recommend it as it's a great tool for the journey. If nothing else, minox and DR are king, everything else is time and patience.

I'm on day 21, I see my hairs turning darker and have peach fuzz everywhere now. I started biotin pills on day 14 and derma roller on day 19. With all three I will get my beard for sure.
I'm turning 24 in April, and i'm pretty much like that guy at 1:47 (the before pic, lol) and i really like what it did for him. Man, this really caught my attention, is it expensive to do a treatment like this? Is it entirely safe? Can i get Minoxidil in a drugstore?
It's fairly cheap considering what it does. You can get a 3 month supply on Amazon for like $25. Most people need to use it for 6-12 months. You should also be able to get it locally. If you're in the U.S. you can get it at Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, any pharmacy really. There's a bunch of different brands but they're all pretty much the same as long as they're 5% Minoxidil and don't have any DHT blockers added in like Finasteride or anything like that. It's pretty cheap considering a beard transplant can costs thousands of dollars. It is safe to use. There are some side effects and some of them can sound pretty bad but I've personally been using it for about 8 months now and the worst I've had is some dryness/flakiness where I apply it and some unwanted hair growth in other places. The dryness is pretty easy to combat, most of the time it doesn't even bother me really but if I want to get rid of the flakiness I just use a bit of oil as a moisturizer. The unwanted growth isn't too big of a deal either, I just get a bit of hair on my upper cheeks and around my eyebrows mostly and I just shave it. I took a one month break and all the unwanted growth fell out but I kept all of my gains. So I'm pretty confident that once I stop all of the unwanted growth will go away. It was originally used to treat high blood pressure so it does have some side effects like increased heart rate and lower blood pressure but it's never been that big of a deal for anyone that I know who's been using it. The only reason I've really seen anyone stop as far as side effects go is because some people have an allergy to one of the ingredients in the liquid version: Propylene Glycol. It's not in the foam version though so if you decide to give it a try and have a reaction to the liquid I would recommend the foam. Another upside to the foam is that it doesn't cause dryness/flaking like the liquid and it doesn't go as systemic as the liquid and so it doesn't cause as much unwanted growth.
Beardology Hey, thanks for the elaborate reply and sorry for this late one. I'm not from the U.S. but i should be able to get my hands on some from Amazon. As far as Propilene Glycol goes, it shouldn't be a problem since i used to vape, and there's a lot of that stuff in most of the vaping liquids. If inhaling it was fine, spreading it on my face shouldn't be a big deal. I have one more question, might be a stupid one. Are the effects permanent? I mean, from what i understand the "secondary" effects (hair in unwanted places) go away after a while. I assume that's not the case with the area you're actually aplying it on, right? What i mean is, if after the treatment i start getting some consecutive clean shaves, would the beard that grows back be just as full as the one i'll have at the end of the treatment? Would it gradually wear down? Again, sorry for the late reply, and thanks for your feedback.
Teens in the comment who are about to use minoxidil : wait your 30. I had no cheek hairs till then. Some of us just grow a beard later down life. Then if it is patchy at 30, go for it. Would be my advice.
I would personally recommend waiting until you're at least 20. At your age you still have a lot of natural developing to do. When I was 17 I barely had anything. I developed most of my beard from 19-25.
dude, I'm 27. I can grow a bit of hair in my moustache and a bit on my chin. Barely anything on the sides. Would this help me? I don't even want a massive beard, just a bit of stubble
It works. i have barely no beard on my cheeks, and after using minoxidil for 6 days it has already filled my cheeks with baby hair. Also new hair coming in on mustache and beard. Im 21 btw.
Yes. Minoxidil can help with that for sure. A lot of people use it for that short beard/stubble look. Just know that Minoxidil is a vasodilator meaning it will speed up the growth rate of your hair while you're using it, so if you're looking to keep your beard trimmed down you'll have to trim it more regularly while using Minoxidil.
They say don't do it if you're under 18. I'm 19 turning 20 this year and my facial hair is very thin and patchy and I can only get hair on my chin and mustache, nothing on the cheeks but random chunks and is full of peach fuzz. Would it be okay for me to use?
I know some people suggest to do it for a year or more, but should you only keep going if you at least see some little amount of result/new hair after like 3 or 4 months (applying twice daily and with beard roller and supplements)? And if you don't really get anything new after that it's not for you (maybe you lack the follicles)? Or should you really just keep going for longer regardless to see full potential?
great idea. I've used it for one year hoping to fill in thin spots on each cheek. as you can see, it's not like i have trouble growing a beard but usually go with just a goatee because of those spots. when i decided to go longer, i didn't like the look of just the goat. the side length is doing a decent job of covering. but.. I've had absolutely no new growth. i'm going to try a while longer with Rogaine foam, which stays where you put it, unlike liquid. i'm glad it works for some.
No. As long as the new hairs have matured and have become terminal you can stop and they should remain. If you stop using it while the new hairs are still vellus (immature) then they may fall out.
I'm 16 and thought about using minoxidil. I think I should wait before actually doing so. Like over the past 3 months hair growth has been insane for me. I have my whole neck to chin area hairs, in the mustache area as well and just recently I've started to see growth in my cheeks. My two brothers and dad have full beards, so I guess I'll never have to do this.
Well you will have a beard soon. Im 17 and I only have tiny goatee and mustache so I started minoxidil. You probably won't need it so just wait a few years.
No results whatsoever? Are you sure? 4 months is still early so most people don't really see a dramatic difference at that point. I was 5 months in and thought I wasn't making any progress until I went back and compared old pictures then I realized I had made some progress and didn't even notice. It takes longer for some people than others so you might need to just keep it up and see where it goes.
No. As long as you use Minoxidil long enough for the follicles to mature and become terminal the new hairs will be permanent and you can stop using Minoxidil. The key is to make sure you don't stop too soon. If the hairs are immature (vellus) they will likely fall out once you stop.
does it grow back after you shave it off? (i meant when you are satisfied your beard and stopped using Minoxidil and end up with shave your beard off to clean for some reason or trim)
myscalp hair shedding like crazy after using minoxidil for beard then i stopped using minoxidil but still my scalp hair thining and i can see some pacthes on my head
The thing is that I am part of the facebook group and I would like to get a dose of minoxidil but anywhere i go it is expensive as heck, like I might as well pay an arm and a leg just to get a little bottle of it because the Rite Aid near me sells it for $33-55.00 USD
Timothy Devine amazon offers 14$ liquid for three months and 24$ for 6 months. Foam will always be expensive, even Kirkland which I paid 38$ for .. beats buying rogaine which is like 60-90$ 😬
it didn't work for me. the only thing, after 6 months was that there were vellus hair that grew out a bit, but that's it. more power to the folks that were able to grow a beard.
Yeah, unfortunately, it doesn't work for everyone and it can take a long time to work for some people. Most people need to use it for at least 6-12 months to get good results but that can be quite a commitment.
bro One thing you had to ask is my beard has come in. I've used monoxidil for three months. If I stop using monoxidil now, will my beard hair begin to fall? ؟ Please answer
after using minoxidil for couple month to grow beard, i see baby hair start growing..my question is, should i shave it to make it grow thicker or just leave it there until beard grow permanent, then shave it?
Bro you look better with thin facial hair like in your before picture. A beard isn't for everybody each to their own but you look more handsome without all that grown man facial hair
If you're not already, you should moisturize 4 hours after applying. If you're already doing that and you're still itchy, it could either be the new hairs coming in that are making you itch or it could be a reaction to the minoxidil. Are you using the liquid? If so, consider switching to the foam.
I’m 19 and thinking of getting this, is that a bad idea? Also, I’ve been using the beard growth pills and beard growth oil from the Dollar Beard Club for about a month now, do you know if that will also work or not?
No. Minoxidil will not effect the growth of terminal hairs that were there before you started. They might shed while you're using Minoxidil since it speeds up the hair cycle (all hairs shed even without Minoxidil) but they will grow back. The only permanent loss you might experience if you stop using Minoxidil is any new hair you grow while using Minoxidil that hasn't matured into terminal hair. You'll want to use Minoxidil until the new hairs mature.
Not necessarily. Minoxidil has systemic effects. It will grow hair all over your body from using it. Even if you use it just on your beard. The extra growth is generally temporary and should go away once you stop using Minoxidil since those areas are just getting some residual effects and are not getting the full force of a direct application. It speeds of hair growth and can cause hair to shed. The shedding is temporary though and it's nothing to worry about but some people do experience shedding on the scalp. It's not usually noticeable but it does freak a lot of people out when it's happening. I made a whole video about shedding where I explain it in a bit more detail if you want to check it out. I'd explain it here but it's quite a bit to type out and I'm at work right now, plus it would probably be easier for you to just watch it instead of reading an entire essay in a comment. :P Thanks for your question! I hope I helped at least a little bit.
You mean once you put it in the cap it becomes liquid? You might be keeping it in too warm of a space. If it's really hot where you are, consider keeping it refrigerated. If it becomes liquid after you apply it to your face, that's normal.
I'm 20 and I still don't have a full beard I have just very tiny follicles in my chin & cheek's and I'm just using castor oil for growth and then I heard about minoxidil so I thought about using it, But someone also told me that it causes acne & makes skin dark, is it true , because for that reason I don't use, but also I want beard 💔😭 (Tho 17 years old friend of mine he have full beards but I don't Have )
I'm on the way of my journey on minoxidil then I almost got have my beard. But the thing is their some hair appearing on my lower eyes and cheek. Can I asked for your suggestion please. Do I need to stop the product? Hoping for the answer. Thank You so much....
Yes, if you were able to grow hairs using minoxidil and end up losing them because you stop using minoxidil, they should regrow when you continue using minoxidil again.
I have noticed some patches on my face, where the hairs are very thin, small and blondish and do never seem to grow out. These spots seems to have varied from size over time, probably a bit stress related. Will this stuff help fill it out? And which one is recommended, would have helped if they gave the information with the pics?
That's not true. People think that Minoxidil caused ED because some people use Finasteride while using Minoxidil and Finasteride does cause ED. People mistook it as a side effect of Minoxidil but it's not associated with Minoxidil.
Not that I don't believe you but I'm seeing a decent amount of blogs and posts of men using Minoxidil and experiencing ED. They didn't mention anything about Finasteride or taking anything else with Minoxidil.
There are side effects, some of them can be more severe than others. The main side effect that most people experience is dryness and flaking of the skin. You can combat this with moisturizers and oils. Other common side effects include, increased heart rate, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, unwanted hair growth on other parts of your body, itchiness. It should be noted that, even though these are common side effects, that doesn't mean you'll experience any of them. I personally only really ever experienced dryness/flaking, unwanted growth and fatigue and I can't honestly even say if the fatigue was from the Minoxidil or just because I have a poor lifestyle and don't get enough sleep. lol.
I personally used it for 7 months, took a 1 month break and got back on. So far I've been back on it for 2 and a half weeks. So about 7 and a half months so far in total.
holy shit, some ridiculous transformations.... probably gonna start this myself as i was in the same boat as most of these people. how exactly does it work though??
Yo, could you give me an advice. I just read an article and it says that one of the side effects of Minoxidil could be 'Temporary hair shedding'. Could you tell me about that? Im planning to only use it on beard, not my head. I dont want my hair to fall out from my head. I dont care about the beard though, i hardly have any hairs there anyway . Thanks
Yes, shedding on the scalp can occur. It's usually not noticeable and it doesn't happen to everyone. I personally didn't experience any shedding on my scalp at all while using Minoxidil and I've been using it for about 10 months now.
where can I read about the best one to use and how to properly use it? I had a beard transplant that was a complete failure and left big lumps and scars everywhere they planted hairs. so after they have tried to restore the damage I'm going for minoxidil!
Most brands are the same exact product just with a different label slapped on. If you get any of the big brands like Rogaine, Kirkland, Equate, etc... They're going to be the same thing so any of those will do just fine. If you want to read a bunch of helpful info and tips you can check out The Minox Beard Spot on Facebook. The FAQs on there has tons and tons of info.

And if you don't really get anything new after that it's not for you (maybe you lack the follicles)? Or should you really just keep going for longer regardless to see full potential?
i am 30 years old but i have not beard yet . what I do to come out my beard?
I have a question..if beard comes while applying minoxidil.. then why didnt it came before? what was the problem
@Punisher YT so every came ita because blood circulation problem?
starting it in my 1st week i can see the new blond hair growing !! never has it before !!! ps once a day i am using it !!
That's awesome. Keep it up.
Any side effects
do you have to keep taking minoxidil after you get the results that you have been looking for?
No. As long as the new hairs have matured and have become terminal you can stop and they should remain. If you stop using it while the new hairs are still vellus (immature) then they may fall out.
My side beard is turning dark why? I'm Just starting and used it for some days now
I want to raise my cheek line. Is minoxidil the way to go?
So freaken Kool man
Yeaaaaaah.. I'm there.
Currently on day 6, no results yet
Update?
Which minoxidil oil to be use for beard growth because so much of brand is available in online store please suggest me the name of the brand
my concern is that i have small back hairs pretty far and few but if i get on this stuff, itll make my unwanted hair grow out
I'm 16 and thought about using minoxidil.
@@sipe254 update?
The results are permanent? And if use minox in my face which side effect can have? Thanks
I am using mintop brand of minoxidil from last 4 months but not getting any result .......what to do???
No results whatsoever? Are you sure? 4 months is still early so most people don't really see a dramatic difference at that point. I was 5 months in and thought I wasn't making any progress until I went back and compared old pictures then I realized I had made some progress and didn't even notice. It takes longer for some people than others so you might need to just keep it up and see where it goes.
Okk sure..i will continuesaly use it what till when should I use it ???
Ghanshyam Sharma # after 4 months what is the result bro ,can u provide reply plz
=o I'm there!!
it obviously works but what happens after you stop using it? Does all that hair disappear or is it permanent?
No. As long as you use Minoxidil long enough for the follicles to mature and become terminal the new hairs will be permanent and you can stop using Minoxidil. The key is to make sure you don't stop too soon. If the hairs are immature (vellus) they will likely fall out once you stop.
so how long approximately I need to use it to make sure it wont fall out?
Next it's me obviously , I am on my 3rd month ..
does it grow back after you shave it off? (i meant when you are satisfied your beard and stopped using Minoxidil and end up with shave your beard off to clean for some reason or trim)
Yes. If you shave it off it will grow like any other beard.
But does it increase blood pressure? Used minox for some days now I have high blood pressure, i am guessing It's for the minox
myscalp hair shedding like crazy after using minoxidil for beard then i stopped using minoxidil but still my scalp hair thining and i can see some pacthes on my head
The thing is that I am part of the facebook group and I would like to get a dose of minoxidil but anywhere i go it is expensive as heck, like I might as well pay an arm and a leg just to get a little bottle of it because the Rite Aid near me sells it for $33-55.00 USD
Timothy Devine check on amazon. its a 6 month supply for same price
Timothy Devine amazon offers 14$ liquid for three months and 24$ for 6 months. Foam will always be expensive, even Kirkland which I paid 38$ for .. beats buying rogaine which is like 60-90$ 😬
Timothy Devine bro go to Walmart for 20 dollars you'll get a 3 month supply its 25 at Walgreens and cvs glad I found it at Walmart store
it didn't work for me. the only thing, after 6 months was that there were vellus hair that grew out a bit, but that's it. more power to the folks that were able to grow a beard.
Yeah, unfortunately, it doesn't work for everyone and it can take a long time to work for some people. Most people need to use it for at least 6-12 months to get good results but that can be quite a commitment.
Beardology
I fit in that category. I have a chin beard a small mustache. I'm sure a year I would see something.
bro One thing you had to ask is my beard has come in. I've used monoxidil for three months. If I stop using monoxidil now, will my beard hair begin to fall? ؟ Please answer
Bro is your beard fall out or still remain?please answer me
after using minoxidil for couple month to grow beard, i see baby hair start growing..my question is, should i shave it to make it grow thicker or just leave it there until beard grow permanent, then shave it?
Bro you look better with thin facial hair like in your before picture. A beard isn't for everybody each to their own but you look more handsome without all that grown man facial hair
After using it for 3 weeks im getting really itchy when i apply the minoxidil (5%). What should i do ??
If you're not already, you should moisturize 4 hours after applying. If you're already doing that and you're still itchy, it could either be the new hairs coming in that are making you itch or it could be a reaction to the minoxidil. Are you using the liquid? If so, consider switching to the foam.
I’m 19 and thinking of getting this, is that a bad idea? Also, I’ve been using the beard growth pills and beard growth oil from the Dollar Beard Club for about a month now, do you know if that will also work or not?
Please reply to this cause I am very concerned
they re saying it s back. your beard looks like old when you give up the this minoxidil... that is true?
Not true
Sir, my beard not growing. What can I do? Please help me.
from ginger beard to black beard, what a natural shit :D
Bro I want that product how can i purchase.. bro
Can minoxidil damage the natural hair you can already grow? Like can they fall out if you stop using it?
If i hv bad gen for growing beard, can i apply this oil? And how much ths oil?
it looks like it works but the beard grows like an ass hair lol
lmao!
Those are immature, vellus hairs. Over time they mature into thicker, coarse terminal hairs and look like any other beard hair.
SAY WHAT I can't stop laughing
Ctfu
SAY WHAT .lmaho!!
so me using minox on my beard will have no effect on my actual head?
Thanks for your question! I hope I helped at least a little bit.
i have a bottle of minoxidil foam but it becomes liquid after 5 seconds it is good?.
You mean once you put it in the cap it becomes liquid? You might be keeping it in too warm of a space. If it's really hot where you are, consider keeping it refrigerated. If it becomes liquid after you apply it to your face, that's normal.
I'm 20 and I still don't have a full beard I have just very tiny follicles in my chin & cheek's and I'm just using castor oil for growth and then I heard about minoxidil so I thought about using it, But someone also told me that it causes acne & makes skin dark, is it true , because for that reason I don't use, but also I want beard 💔😭 (Tho 17 years old friend of mine he have full beards but I don't Have )
for the love of god, trim the beard, brush it and clean above the upper lip please!
I'm on the way of my journey on minoxidil then I almost got have my beard. But the thing is their some hair appearing on my lower eyes and cheek. Can I asked for your suggestion please. Do I need to stop the product? Hoping for the answer. Thank You so much....
if you loose your beard gains and re-apply minoxidil will it grow?
Yes, if you were able to grow hairs using minoxidil and end up losing them because you stop using minoxidil, they should regrow when you continue using minoxidil again.
I have noticed some patches on my face, where the hairs are very thin, small and blondish and do never seem to grow out. These spots seems to have varied from size over time, probably a bit stress related. Will this stuff help fill it out? And which one is recommended, would have helped if they gave the information with the pics?
I am 32 years use minoxidil
What happens if i stop applying Minoxidil to my beard , is it falls after that ..?
Which minixodil brand be used bro ?
Does anyone else find that minoxidil beards often look slightly off and not quite right?
Everyone’s look different honestly but they all look legit for the most part
I "heard" in some instances minoxidil can cause erectile dysfunction. I've read it in a couple of different blogs. Is there any truth to this?
That's not true. People think that Minoxidil caused ED because some people use Finasteride while using Minoxidil and Finasteride does cause ED. People mistook it as a side effect of Minoxidil but it's not associated with Minoxidil.
Not that I don't believe you but I'm seeing a decent amount of blogs and posts of men using Minoxidil and experiencing ED. They didn't mention anything about Finasteride or taking anything else with Minoxidil.

Can suggest day time is best to use or night to apply
I just wanna ask u if can I shave ma beard during using of minox? or should wait until the end of course ? plz reply me when u get this. The.
Yes, you can shave there are no issues with that.
If I use minoxidil for 6 months say and I get a beard from it and stop using minoxidil. Will the beard grow back if I shave without using minox?
snois2 it'll slow fall out
snois2 Only the terminal hairs would stay. The vellus hairs would fall out.

Hello,, just a question here,, I'm from Malaysia, so I'm kind of wonder if it reach the Malaysia's market already,,
Use Amazon, dude!
can I use it without any problem on my face
There are side effects, some of them can be more severe than others. The main side effect that most people experience is dryness and flaking of the skin. You can combat this with moisturizers and oils. Other common side effects include, increased heart rate, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, unwanted hair growth on other parts of your body, itchiness.
It should be noted that, even though these are common side effects, that doesn't mean you'll experience any of them. I personally only really ever experienced dryness/flaking, unwanted growth and fatigue and I can't honestly even say if the fatigue was from the Minoxidil or just because I have a poor lifestyle and don't get enough sleep. lol.
sorry about my English . so how many mouths you use it
I personally used it for 7 months, took a 1 month break and got back on. So far I've been back on it for 2 and a half weeks. So about 7 and a half months so far in total.
Do you recommend use it
At what age can I take Minoxidil?
holy shit, some ridiculous transformations.... probably gonna start this myself as i was in the same boat as most of these people. how exactly does it work though??
Cemmos bro after 100 days of minoxidil use there are so many vallus again but it is not change to terminal again what is the next step??? Whether i continue the minoxidil use or trying other beared oil???, plz suggest.
Did minoxidil work for you? I'm also thinking about using it
First of all, I would like to thank you for the good explanation you have given us, but what we need is that there is an increase in the number of beards, both original and copy, so how can I know the original?
I tried this and it doesn't work 😭
I'm over 40 do you think work for me as well ?
no
Hey Alopexy 5 its like minoxidil? Can i bought it?
do beard fall off iff you get off that minoxidil ?
Only if you stop using it before the new hairs mature and become terminal.
Beardology please make a video explaining the stop use of it
