    I reduce my tinnitus by running more. After few days of running my tinnitus decreased. I also start eating more fruit and veggies. Less meat. I do meditation every other day. and my tinnitus is gone. Keeping your mind busy in different activities helps too. Hope this can work for some of you.

    I hear the ringing no matter what. No amount of noise (or lack thereof) changes it in any way. It also varies wildly in "volume" and tone, and seems to be tied more to my stress levels than anything else. Sometimes it's a tinny high-pitched squeal, sometimes it sounds like one of those hearing-test tones, and sometimes it's barely noticeable and other times it almost drowns out everything briefly.
    And ever hearing test I've ever had demonstrates that I have no hearing loss at all.

    24 yrs on active duty and my tinnitus was so bad by the time I retired that I would get sudden dizzy spells or these flash migraines that would almost make me feel unbalanced but not quite vertigo. In 2022 the VA ran a number of tests on me and eventually issued me the Signia hearing aids. I wore them every single day, even when I was alone at home, and at first I felt as if everything was ‘way too’ loud and that itself annoyed me, but over time I guess my brain adopted and fast forward to today, I can’t go without them. On days I forget to put them on I do notice that my tinnitus isn’t as bad as it was before. So just a simple hearing aide is worth talking to your doctor about if you have severe or even just mild tinnitus that simply annoys you. Thankfully ya’lls tax dollars paid for my hearing aides so a BIG thanks to all tax payers :).

      You're lucky. The VA denied my benefits and said I wasn't losing my hearing but I am and have been. Here we are now a year later and I think I've finally figured out why I passed the hearing test. Turns out I have this thing where I hear things like my alarm clock even after I've shut if off. It's annoying because I keep getting up to shut it off because my ears still "hear" it. I think the same thing hppened to me in that audio booth.

I've tried everything, eating right, exercising, no caffeine, even hearing aids even tho my hearing is great, sometimes listening to 7500Hz stops the ringing for a few seconds but it comes back louder than before but nothing helps, sleep sucks, trying to get to sleep, staying asleep, I'll start hearing the ringing in my dreams and it wakes me up. I talked to a few doctors and they basically told me "Suck it up and try to ignore it." kinda hard to ignore ringing in the head 24/7/365. So today was the last day of the five day event and now these 15 conditions are headed off homeward to the United States and we are going to be able to start dispensing these units around April 23. It’s interesting because we have already been informed that there are thousands of people who have registered for Internet to receive priority in our clinics across the country and we’re spending quite a bit of time this week. Creating a plan to handle so many thousands of people who want to try this amazing new bimodal tinnitus treatment. Definitely going to be a rush of people for this new method that has been again 12 years and they make him and has definite differences from previous treatments.

    I remember first hearing it while lying in bed when I was six years old. It went away briefly, but then came back and has been with me ever since. It's loud - bells of St. Mary's loud, and it really interferes with my ability to process speech. It's like having an obnoxious kid constantly beating pots and pans next to your head (try doing that while engaging in polite conversation, delivering a speech, trying to sleep...). I've tried all the snake oil and acupressure methods. I've spoken to specialists. They run lots of expensive tests but have no idea how to fix it. I'd try to fix it myself with ice picks, but I'm assured it won't make it go away. At 62, I'm pretty sure this is going to be with me till I die. Something to look forward to.

    80-90% of individuals naturally habituate to tinnitus without the use of any device costing thousands of dollars. That usually happens within 12-18 months naturally. So when Lenire says that the vast majority of people experience benefit of using this device 12 months later, how many of them would have habituated regardless of the device? How does Lenire measure "improvement"? How much of it is placebo? The Lenire device has been available in Ireland, Germany and other European countries for years now. Funny I haven't heard that Tinnitus has been eradicated in these countries. Many audiologists are excited about this because it is a new mode of income...I guess it is buyer beware.

      The skepticism is appreciated. However, the cynicism called the authenticity of your skepticism into question. I think we should alway question if something is legit or not, but always assuming a profit motive over a noble motive is rather cynical. Audiologists have had access to limited tinnitus treatment options for our patients, and many of us just want a solution that helps them. Time will tell if this treatment moves the needle, but to many people are killing themselves for us not to try.

      I'm only two weeks into having tinnitus in my left ear. The first week or so was suicidal inducing, so loud and constant anxiety. I have since noticed some lowering in the volume and it is even forgettable at times. Luckily this occurred as a result of an assault and brain injury by a adolescent psych patient where I work. So it's being covered under workers compensation, my doctor upon learning I have ADHD prescribed me Ritalin, and despite my initial fear of using it I found that it does indeed help with the perception of the loudness. I've also been prescribed gabapentin and thus far it's been able to help lower both the perception and loudness. I'm hopeful that this device is capable of being able to eliminate this issue. Though I fear that I'm going to just have to try my best to habituate, if I may ask, have you been able to habituate after having it so long.?

      Hi people. I feel for you. My tinnitus came during the pandemic and I was in extreme stress when I got it. At first it was low and I was wondering what it was. But since anxiety is a disease my brain fixated on that ringing and the rest is history. I struggled for many months fighting the noise.
      My recommendation is to do whatever helps. I didn’t take meds but I probably should have. Talk to your doc.
      If the tinnitus is causing anxiety the anxiety has to be addressed. That’s issue number one. It’s not the tinnitus it’s the reaction to the noise. Imaging being next to a loud fan. After a couple of minutes your brain would tune it out because it doesn’t perceive it as a threat.
      However if your brain thought that fan noise was a problem which is what anxiety does then it would start worrying about that fan.
      There’s two different things I’ve tried.
      One if masking. Finding anything that will help you sleep. For me if I didn’t sleep well it cause more anxiety. Sleep was where my battles were and continue to be. You can try going to insight timer and doing different mediations, or using their white noises or their tinnitus retaining tones with the beeping noises. Those helped me much early on. Or buy a loud fan, water foundation, run a podcast to listen to or listen to music all night. Bottom line is that once you find anything that works you’ll feel so much better and will regain some of your control.
      The second option once you’re sleeping and living with it with masking is trying to lean into it. Listening to it and allowing your brain to see it’s not so dangerous so far. I worked with Dr. Gans and she helped me reminding me tinnitus is a paper tiger. It can’t harm us. It’s our interpretation of the noise that we have to deal with. So if you go to sleep with nothing in silence eventually you may be able to not need masking. I’ve done that before but I’m trying now to work my way back.
      Also try to do things you enjoy. Going out and talking with other people for me helped since my brain would be engaged.

I don’t hear tinnitus in my left ear now. I hear very little in my right ear now. The better you hear and notice outside sounds, the less the tinnitus is heard. My personal experience is this: At first i pretended that my tinnitus was my ability ti hear special universal sounds that nobody else could hear. After that I trained myself to ignore it and not being bothered by it. That's how I live, ignoring it and never getting upset with it. Things that make it worse are: taking a daytime nap, red wine, stress.

    In some cases tinnitus occurs because of tension in the neck, throat, jaw, upper back and chest. It’s worth trying to stretch the muscles and see if there is a change in frequency if so you know what the cause is.

      @tefkah Рік тому

    • @elusive9240
      @elusive9240 Рік тому +2

      @@tefkah Well I cant tell for sure and I don’t want to make promises however in some cases it could be muscle tension. Muscle tension can create all sorts of problems like double chin, lazy eyes, joint issues, x/o legs, scoliosis, uneven hip, hammer toes, hollow back, text neck, vision problems and so on. The main concept here is that one muscle group is to far stretched and the other to shortened. If you can make it louder it’s worth investigating further and see if a consistent stretching routine of these areas make a difference, because it could be an indication of the myotatic reflex, which could create tension in that specific area. Its also worth noting that stretching improves blood circulation, which is needed for regeneration purposes.

    I grew up on an Arabian Horse farm with critters of many sizes. With that comes guns, it's a common thing protecting the farm and as a farm girl - it was fun to learn about guns and shoot them! :) Sadly when firing off a hand gun my right ear went into silence mode for about two days. After that it was fine and back to normal. Sadly I'm a little older now and I hear a rustling sound in the right ear. It's like a snare drum with light sand being lightly poured onto the surface of the drum skin. This comes and goes and sometimes I found certain sounds can calm it down. I have found what helps calm this down is to insert an ear plug into my right ear for a couple days, sleeping with it as well. And after that it's fine. I've learned to keep volumes down as well, due to my LOVING to listen to music with earbuds and headphones. I'm scared I have damage to my ear as my hearing is good. I hear from both ears fine - but the right ear does worry me after that loud pop sound from the gun. I don't want to lose my hearing, but fear it's too late and as I get older I'll simply lose it all in the right ear :( /sadPanda

I had an operation to improve it but the tablets left me with a ringing, hissing noise that has gradually got louder over the years. I now have some hearing loss too. I hope this new technology will help along with any others that are being developed but I fear they will be very expensive and stop many people from being able to benefit. I do find exercise helps as others have mentioned, and de stressing, and eating a low sugar diet. If I don’t do these things it gets worse. But going to the gym has helped, and I’ve learnt to live with it and accept it which I think you have to do, don’t fight it just try to stay calm. I’m pretty sure that’s what caused mine, as it only started after I’d been on the tablets for several years. I find paracetamol and any pain killers make it worse, and if I’m not well with a bad cold or virus it gets worse. I’ve read pulsatile tinnitus can be caused by lack of iron, but you probably already know this. Also B12 can help as it’s beneficial to the nervous system. For people who already had it before the shots, the shots have made their tinnutis way worse. Doctors are studying the link/cause at Stanford, Harford, mayo clinic etc..they are pretty sure the C shots induce inflammation in the spinal cord, brain, and ears, causing the adverse event in some people. My mom is suffering severely and she never had tonnutis before the shots. Her specialists have told us it was caused by them, and for her to not get any more boosters. The more boosters you get, the worse the tinnutis can get. There's a man who was In his 60s who had the adverse event happen, causing horrible tinmutis, & he couldn't handle the mental trauma from it being so bad, and he unalived himself. I'm spreading the word bc my mom has expressed If hers doesn't get better that she can't handle this much longer. We learned that TMS treatments are helping people greatly reduce their symptoms and even cure It
      That's the next step for my mom. You can research all this yourself. I suggest you do If you have gotten any of the shots. If you havnt, I'm sorry, I know tinnutis can also be caused by hearing loss and it can be genetic. But yeah, don't search on Google, make sure you use bing search engine or a search engine that is not highly Censored.

    I’m not an Audiologist, but as a Hearing Instrument Specialist I am intrigued about the prospective effectiveness of this new technology. I have a mild hearing loss that is not considered treatable with hearing aids nor it it enough loss to cause communication issues yet I have moderate tinnitus constantly. Admittedly I have tried all the “snake oil” treatments out of desperation to no avail even though I knew better beforehand.

These items are on contract with the VA and you have every right to have access to them but you are gonna have to try to insist they provide it to you.

    Very interesting. I am 100% deaf in my left ear. 50% deaf in my right ear. Also I’m tone deaf as well. I cannot hear high pitch sounds at all. I’ve had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. Constant buzzing sound. I’ve just become immune to it in my daily activities. It’s only when I stop or find myself in a quiet place that it is noticeable. All of that being said. I would defiantly like to not have it at all. Unfortunately I’d probably fall into the category of the folks who can’t be helped. I appreciate the video and I hope this is legit so people can get the help they need. Thank you!

    What about the method of tapping on the back of your head? I've got occasional tinnitus, that works. (There's a UA-cam video somewhere.) A method I figured out based on Ramachandran's phantom limb mirror therapy. I developed something like this first for twitchy eyes. Basically you feed information from the non-twitching or non-tinnitus side to the problem side. You do this with your fore fingers (most sensitive) from the problem side by lightly rubbing the quiet side of your head. Works like this. Ringing in your right ear. Using the fingers of your right hand you gently rub just in front of your left ear. My tinnitus almost immediately goes away. (For a twitchy eye rub gently just to the outside of eye.) The mechanism I think is similar to Ramachandran's phantom limb: the brain readily overrides what is (usually) a very low signal causing the problem. If both ears are ringing doing the sides alternately seems to also work.
    I used to get a twitchy eye from dirt, crusties, fatigue. I would usually treat this by washing my face and eyes or taking a nap. When I tried either of my two methods the twitching went away and didn't come back -- so my eyes were still dirty or tired. This led me to speculate that the signals for ringing and twitchy are very weak. Whatever reason caused your eye to twitch, the reason it keeps twitching is because it was twitching. It's a feedback loop. Try this, if you think you might injure yourself or cause a problem you're doing it wrong. The reason no medical corporation is interested in any of this is they can't charge you for it. And I'm not a doctor, not qualified in any way.

    Not holding my breath. I get different tones (a very high pitched tone at the moment) in both years, about the last year. Quickly increasing hearing loss is genetic in my dad's family starting when we're about 40. Throw in that I grew up around guns and no one thought about hearing protection 30 years ago, loud music/bass as a teenager, inner ear issues as an adult, I'm not surprised by the outcome. ENT told me to simply get use to it, it comes with hearing loss and there's nothing to be done about it. This self reported clinical trial seems iffy to me, another thing to overcharge for that may or may not work for some people and the cost will probably be high. I've found the best defense against tinnitus is to stay busy. If my mind is really occupied, I don't really notice it. If I slow down or things get quiet, it's deafening.

    What a great video! I've had tinnitus since childhood. It always begins with a total lack of sound in one or both ears. Lately, it is more often, and when it stops, I still have a significantly reduced or total lack of sound. I would love to give this treatment a go. I have this hearing loss, but loud environments cause incredible ear and head pain, so hearing aids may not be the answer. I already tried them twice with Virtego as a result. Anyway, I'm looking forward to my appointment with you next month. You give me hope.

    This tinnitus is horrible especially for those of us who have good hearing, therefore for me its not related to hearing loss (checked recently with no hearing loss at 65)It is really annoying because I happen to be one of those people who cannot tolerate noise such as vacuum cleaners, fans, even a car idling can be annoying, but when you have this thing in your head and cannot get rid of it. I do however, find that I am worse when I am stressed. I will be off to the audiologist shortly to see if there is anything that will help (as I run out of time at my last appointment. When it first started it was like a damn siren in my ear and caused such anxiety i sincerely considered suicide. Now after a few weeks I have spikes and I find that the anxiety has lessoned. Oddly enough, my physician is very sympathetic, and when I explained that it's so difficult to take my mind off of the ringing, because of my ADHD, he began treating my ADHD with Ritalin. It definitely gave me more focus to distract myself and help with the eventual habituation. He also prescribed a medication called Gabapentin and that's definitely helped to calm my nerves as well. I have prescription for valium but I refuse to take it more than once a day at most, and only when I've tried to sleep with every coping skill I can muster.
