If you enjoyed the 3d visualizations, consider checking out @osukarui's channel! If you want to see other game's I've found notable glitches in, @DoctorSwellman has a couple videos on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles that you should check out! Enjoy 🙂Also, be wary of spoilers when scrolling comments section!
So many people give this game unessacary hate, everything about this game was outside the box for Starfox, and even today it still holds up as an absolute classic, the story, the gameplay, the atmosphere, this game is easily in my top 5 and I don't think that will ever change, awesome video man
2:37:48 - talking about "parallel universes", that jingle from Super Mario 64 plays here. I know *exactly* which meme this is referencing, and I am here for it. Great video! I never got to play SFA, so I learned a lot about it from this video. The maps and the routing explanations were very very nice; I dare say they really took this video to the next level.
I had a feeling this was coming after I saw your comments about the game. Can't wait to dive into this. Really excited about the editing since you have Osukarui credited for the inspiration on the 3D level animations
😄And for those curious about other game's I've destroyed -- DoctorSwellman has a few videos on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles that y'all might find interesting! Watch them chronologically for maximum amazement.
Finally finished watching. Great stuff. This was one hell of a ride and I love how the glitches gradually got crazier and crazier ending in some absolutrly bonkers stuff. Great work with the 3D graphics and route progressions. Honored you would call me an inspiration!
Glad you enjoyed it! And for those watching -- if you like the 3d route visualizations, check out osukarui's channel. His N64 world record videos are honestly even higher production quality than this!
love the videos of both of you. The idea to visualize the routes through a 3D map of the level to visualize the skips is absolutely fantasic and i love seeing more Speedrun History vidoes utilizing this technique.
My goodness, this is one of the most detailed speedrun world record history videos i've ever watched! The sheer detail you put into this is astonishing! Everything including the world map, explaining the route, the tricks, the script and coding of the game in-depth, all incredible and you deserve so much more recognition for your sheer hard work put into this video. Star Fox Adventures by itself was one of my childhood games of the Gamecube era, and i had absolutely zero idea all this time how incredibly broken and torn to pieces it has become by the many talented speedrunners and glitch hunters in it's community, last i knew the run was still around 3 hours even with a few major glitches used. It's up there with the likes of Zelda games such as Ocarina of Time of sheer brokenness. Can't leave you out either, you are amazing and i respect your sheer dedication and talent to document and find all this stuff, not many have the motivation and/or the skillset to completely tear a game apart like this, you well earned my sub and i hope you continue to grow from this video and future ones.
There's another really good one about The Hobbit if you haven't seen that one already. Excited to watch this one, i never got the chance to play this game as a kid.
Absolutely fantastic video! You clearly put so much time and attention into your explanations/diagrams and it really helps elevate the experience. Still astounds me to this day how much you guys finally broke this game. Seeing SFA under 3 hours was like my ultimate dream back in the day so the fact it's under an hour now is wild! Thank you so much for making this and for including me, and congrats on finally completing this! :)
one of the most amazing videos I have ever seen! especially the thoroughness of your explanations and the visualization with the 3d models are phenomenal ty for this video, I really love this game and have a lot of nostalgia watching it again and seeing the speedrunning history of this game much love
So many just amazing things in this video. The Wireframe animations, both complete views of the world map, and all of the amazing diagrams. Such an incredible history. The descents into madness are always a blast. This game still wont be boring for a long time to come it seems. It's an honor to be part of this games history. The 4:19:25 is still my greatest speedrun ever.
I do still think that the 4:19:25 would be the most difficult run to beat for a given route through the game (i.e. treating each time the route changed or a glitch was discovered as a different category, this would be the most difficult category to beat). Since it was essentially the culmination of several years of optimization-grinding where the game was still several hours long, and the route changed very little over that time.
@lobsterzelda5372 I think that would have been a fair assessment before Ketsumomo's 52:56. That run is insanely clean for what it is. Though I suppose grinding a shorter category would be easier.
This is some god-tier production quality for this video. Nicely done! I didn't know much about the world-record history for the game from prior to 2017 or so when I started watching JubJub's runs (and found BvQr's TAS of the game), so it was cool to see what the early-routes looked like for the game, as well (along with seeing the tricks that ended up being forgotten about and rediscovered 10+ years later).
This is the best World Record History video I have ever seen. The level of passion you have for the game and its community is palpable throughout. I want to show this video to my grandchildren someday.
Such high quality and so in depth. Marvelous video, I always wanted to see someone going over this game's speedrunning history, but never expected one of this level 🙏
I have never come across a video at 10pm and thought”no don’t play it to fall asleep to because you need to watch the whole thing” until til today…so excited for this tomorrow 😅
What a video. Incredible. Love the 3D maps of the level with the dotted paths! The whole sequence after 2:36:00 is completely mindblowing. If you have yet to watch the video and plan to do so -- please don't skip ahead, it would ruin the surprise.
Had me staying up all night to watch this one. This video was incredibly well laid-out, well paced, and impressively visualized with a fine balance between routing explanations and actual runs. I especially like how the breakdowns of different areas were spaced apart throughout, as their routes became more relevant to the progress at that point in history. I haven't had the clearest memories of this game since I played it 20+ years ago (with exception of the Thorntail Hollow music) but this was a great way to reconnect with that experience. Really hope this gets the attention it deserves.
Astonishing video! Great production quality and very smart approach to interleave run and detailed glitch-hunting history. I can't imagine how long writing the script for this took, either -- I had to stop and leave this comment near the end of Chapter 6 because GOOD LORD what a reveal!
I just finished watching this on an alt account so I had to switch over to say how amazing this video was! I grew up playing this game so seeing how the speedrun has evolved was a real treat. I love the editing done and I was completely absorbed by every detail. Keep up the good work
The visualisations of the different steps in the route are excellent here, showing the impact of each skip on the whole graph. In future you could have a persistent graph of the whole game route, and keep building up the impacts of each development, like the way BobbyBroccolli does his documentaries
Amazing video and visualizations! I've never played Star Fox Adventures, but this video made it clear what the game asks of you and the amazing efforts of speedrunners and glitch hunters to tear this game apart.
I got this game because i played 64 so, so much. Was disappointed that there was barely any star ship segments. I kept at it though because i still loved the adventure game play. I managed to beat it and collect everything and now, while i haven't played it in years, i still do love it fondly. I had no idea this game was speed ran, so not only thank you for this video , but the many hours of enjoyment I am going to have in the future watching this game be ran.
I remember beating this game as a teen, without UA-cam and internet help. I was disappointed that there was no post game back then, hoping some plot points would still continue.
Super nostalgic speedrun for me because of how obscure finding footage of this game was back in the day. Heck the first video playthrough I found of the game kept losing audio in so many places but it was the best there was at the time. I still remember when the segmented speedrun was uploaded basically one episode a day, the most frustrating day being when they uploaded the segment of Krystal throwing the bomb in Krazoa Palace, just to save, and that was it for that day's segment, was so confused lol.
This was incredibly well done - you have a real knack for visual teaching! Super fun to watch! Pantomime looks really cool and is such a cool idea! Where can I learn more about it and get in touch with you?
Those 3D animations were perfect for star fox adventures. I always wondered if it is possible for Krystal to enter the 6th krazoa spirit shrine? Let say's she magically teleported to the shrine could you activate it?
I remember playing this game, beating it, and I have little to no recollection of it. I think I enjoyed it overall - not sure why it was so forgettable to me. Likely had to do with how much impact Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Symphonia had on me I'd guess °-°
i dont know if its fitting but i do know some weird small things about this game that probably not alot of people know, not so much speedrunning besides 1 thing maybe but, weird things like being able to hear weird voices if you go into lightfoot village earlyer then your supposed to
yo this is an incredibly well made video I appreciate what you've done here like a lot of other weirdos this game means a lot to me and it is nice to be able to revisit it in this context

It put a smile on my face instantly when I heard that part :D.

Zac found pretty much everything

omg been waiting for this one and it's actually edited well and the voicing is fine, NICE
Man, the top run in this video has already been beaten by almost 30 seconds by Fuzziness.
Such high quality and so in depth. Marvelous video, I always wanted to see someone going over this game's speedrunning history, but never expected one of this level 🙏

Hi, weren't you a Battalion Wars speedrunner at some point? Fancy meeting you here
Astonishing video! Great production quality and very smart approach to interleave run and detailed glitch-hunting history. I can't imagine how long writing the script for this took, either -- I had to stop and leave this comment near the end of Chapter 6 because GOOD LORD what a reveal!
Top tier content
agreed, a pleasant watch
I managed to take the WR back! :D 52:27
This is gonna be at a million in a month cuz this is a crazy vid, fantastic job btw!!
Astounding video, excellent narration and explanation and both entertaining and informative. Love to see this finally completed :)
This is a great lesson in how "useless" glitches are incredibly valuable! Great job :)
I just finished watching this on an alt account so I had to switch over to say how amazing this video was! I grew up playing this game so seeing how the speedrun has evolved was a real treat. I love the editing done and I was completely absorbed by every detail. Keep up the good work

Wow. What an amazing amount of effort you put into this video. 10/10.
In all honesty, I don't remember why I subscribed to you. Most likely because of the FF:CC speedrun translated vid.
But man, I'm happy I did.
Amazing video and visualizations! I've never played Star Fox Adventures, but this video made it clear what the game asks of you and the amazing efforts of speedrunners and glitch hunters to tear this game apart.
let's go Kazooie and G&S

4 minutes in and wtf, those pathing animations are insane!!
I loved this game as a kid , thanks for the videos and the details presented, subbed!
Holy shit, earlier this week I thought to myself "how come no one has made a wr history video about SFA" and now this
awesome work bro!
A banger video I didn't realise I wanted
Added to the speedrun documentary playlist! Great job.
This is a fantastic video, thank you
incredible work
UA-cam algorithm gave me a GEM. Criminally underrated
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CANT WAIT TO WATCH THIS BANGERRRRRRRRRRRRR
I remember beating this game as a teen, without UA-cam and internet help. I was disappointed that there was no post game back then, hoping some plot points would still continue.
tfw one broken light ruins what would be an epic speedrun route
I'm 6 minutes in and I know in my heart we aren't finding all of these fuel cells the intended way
Super nostalgic speedrun for me because of how obscure finding footage of this game was back in the day. Heck the first video playthrough I found of the game kept losing audio in so many places but it was the best there was at the time.

peak content. you need more subs and more views!
speedrunning this game looks more entertaining than playing it normally
This was incredibly well done - you have a real knack for visual teaching! Super fun to watch!
Pantomime looks really cool and is such a cool idea! Where can I learn more about it and get in touch with you?
I downloaded this game again a couple of weeks and I’d looked up to see if there was anything like this! Better late than never😁
On a game this long, a SoB within 2 minutes of a PB is ridiculously well optimized
Those 3D animations were perfect for star fox adventures.
I always wondered if it is possible for Krystal to enter the 6th krazoa spirit shrine?
Let say's she magically teleported to the shrine could you activate it?
also ++ for fox mounting fox animation
Ah sadly not, part of triggering the cutscene to get K6 requires pulling out your staff -- which Krystal lacks
That was wild
I am so flabbergasted by finding this video, what a blessing hahah
Adding to this the sheer effort and quality in this video at just the 5 min mark is crazy good
I remember playing this game, beating it, and I have little to no recollection of it. I think I enjoyed it overall - not sure why it was so forgettable to me. Likely had to do with how much impact Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Symphonia had on me I'd guess °-°

yo I always assumed this game was rock solid from a programming perspective but based on what I'm seeing 3 minutes in clearly I've been mistaken lmao
yo this is an incredibly well made video I appreciate what you've done here like a lot of other weirdos this game means a lot to me and it is nice to be able to revisit it in this context
😂❤ did the dinosaur planet plan it tho 😮 🤣
k i love these vids but 3 hrs man .... common
I wanted to watch this but the length is absurd. Mutliple parts or cutting large amounts of filler is needed.
No thanks
