Correction, billionaire family. Either way, it show's the damage our system puts on people. Including putting children in harm's way. The courts, family court, the system itself is guilty of being predatory on the family.
They manipulated billionaire parents even. One lawyer I know said, "how do I spin this to win". No, there's the truth and then there's fiction. Our system. I hope Paris helps a lot of kids. Our system is a bad joke.

Add to that the psychiatric system and shelter systems (for context, not to take focus from the kids). So much state sanctioned abuse committed using tax payer funds.
Most foster parents are creeps.
I don't wanna turn this into an immigration debate but this weekend I read 3 different studies that found that Federal & state Govt spent between $156 billion and $400 billion in 2023 on illegal immigration($156 billion based just on the raw dollar resources provided thru services like shelter, food and basic living resources in general, money that is easily traceable thru budget records....and up to $400 billion when including costs to infrastructure like increased costs on schools, hospitals, courts, relocation and things like that).
$150 billion, that's a lot of money, a lot of money and resources that could go towards helping a system that has been broken for many many years.... Isn't that a discussion we should at least be having? A discussion where you aren't called names like bigot or labeled anti-immigrant.
Thank you Paris Hilton for letting the World know what a broken system there is for children!

Rest in peace poor boy😢
I was in the same facility as Paris, Provo Canyon School in Orem Utah, in 1999. That place was heinous. I don’t think her parents were deceived. I think they wanted her punished and didn’t care if she felt hurt or abandoned at the time. All of our parents felt that way on some level, that’s how we ended up there!
I am so sorry your parents failed you. I hope you got counseling to help you deal with your trauma from being institutionalized like that.
You only have to look at the mentality that spawned Ruby Franke.
Has she ever blamed her parents?
YEP!!
I was going to ask why her parents kept her there. Plus the way Kathy is on rhobh, it wouldn’t surprise me if she sent her there on purpose.
Had a friend that was an RN , did home visits for kids in foster care, went to court many times to testify in behalf of the child she was overseeing. This is also a big problem in foster care as well. Predators populate every facet of any system that ‘cares’ for children.
That’s be a use predators prey upon the most vulnerable in society and those that are the most vulnerable have no way to fight back. So thank you for being the one who advocates and fights back for those who silently endure such pain from predators!

I used to work in the mental health field and had friends who worked in youth facilities like this. They all quit because of what was going on and how much it didn't help the kids at all - and it wasn't anywhere near this bad. I find her story believable and tragic.
These establishments should have surprise visits from those in authority. The scale of abuse in these facilities is eye-watering all over the world, this is not just an American phenomenon.
The cops in town knew we were getting abused and they didn’t care. Or were paid to not care.
surprise visits do nothing. there needs to be systemic change from the ground up. Abuse runs all day every day and kids are groomed and silenced. There needs to be a full rehaul of everything and start over.
These institutions have enough money to buy "connections" to authorities and never really be surprised by visits.
@@DiamondBodyMedia one doesn’t exclude the other. They both should be implemented together.
