Buying your first guinea pig can be a challenge. Where do you get one? What kind should you get? And how are you actually supposed to take care of it?! In this video, I share everything I learned about getting a guinea pig - from visiting a pet store, to setting up a cage, to introducing my new friend to her new home. This is my first time buying a guinea pig, and I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, so I figured I'd make a video about it.

Aweee! The hamster and guinea pigs are adorable! I would recommend putting more bedding in your hamster's cage, and make sure all the things you put in their cages are safe. Have a great day!

Give Guinea Pigs about anything. As kids, we had about 12 in the 1970s. We had so little convenience in feeding them because we had to go to Agway to get hay. Guinea pigs love parsnips, carrots, celery and I bet they’d like cilantro to get Vitamin C. I’ve fed them tomatoes, peppers, lettuce.

U need 2 huts for each guinea pig n 2 water bowls n lost of hay n veggies, n u don't just tip them out of the box like that n u wonder y dawn was so scared, u pick them up n take them out n hold them for a few mins then put them in there cage, although u have a beautiful cage set up

How are your guinea pigs doing? I hope you quarenteened them and did proper bonding with the two piggy's unless they live seperate enclosures? Just a word of advice not sure what research you and your family have done about guinea pigs, but the pellets that contain colorful peices are not healthy foods to eat. A plain timothy based pellet is always the better option.

Why buy & not rescue ? there are so many small animals that are casualties of the pet trade, it's sad .

Couple things here: First adopt dont shop. You need to bond the pigs, you cant just throw them together. Another thing the pellets should just be timothy based pellets without all the other bits. Guinea pigs under 6 months should get alfalfa, over 6 months timothy or orchard hay. Hay is 80% of their diet. They need unlimited hay. Also, make sure you wick the fleece and hay an absorbent pad like uhaul under the fleece. If you dont wick the fleece and have an absorbent pad under, when they pee thd fleece will stay wet which you dont want. Please do more research. Some good youtube channels are la guinea pig rescue, scottys animals, the pig room, guinea pig jungle, and little adventures.
