- As evident by the title, this year we got Erica a guinea pig for Christmas! Then, the day after, she went back to Petco to get a second one so that the first one would have a friend! We had to keep this a secret for a while, so getting to see her reaction was pretty awesome! Hope you enjoy this vlog style reaction video!

Thanks everyone for (edit: over 5k!) views on this vlog! I never thought it would be this popular, but I'm glad so many of you are enjoying this fun surprise. That being said, I do want to address some things from the comments. If you comment that guinea pigs should be kept in pairs, I will remove your comment. Simple answer, we do have two pigs. The last 30 seconds of this video show both the brown pig we picked out, and the black and white one my sister picked out for herself just two days later. Also, both of the pigs are pictured in the thumbnail and have been since I posted this video two months ago. So, thanks, but I will remove comments that only say "you need two guinea pigs." However, many of you have suggested fleece bedding, thank you! We are looking into it, as after two months of scooping poop from paper bedding has pushed us into looking for better alternatives. Once again, thank you so much for your support!

Guinea pigs should be kept in pares or groups so there no lonely and because in the wild they are in herds just some information and also 24 hour hay and 1 cup of fresh veggies per day ☺️ awsome video I love it ❤️❤️

Oooh, vey impressed with getting such a perfectly sizable cage! The only advice to give is that greens are perfect for them, the darker the better, they love bell peppers, and they're super good for them, as well as green leaf lettuce. Spinach is ok, but only in small amounts and on occasion, but lettuce and bell peppers as well as zucchini is the best, but no iceberg lettuce! Also fleece fabric is sooo much easier than shavings and stuff, very soft and easy to clean up!
You should not feed a lot of spinach to the piggies because the have huge bloating problems. Also you need to introduce the veggies to them slowly so they don’t bloat. Great video👍🏻
Okay I think all the haters have to give you some props because you bought a cage that is CLOSE to the size requirements. But the reason your pig was hiding outside of the house was just because of the fact it's way to small I would probably buy that hiding house for my Syrian hamster (your guinea pig will grow out of that houses supper fast. They are sold as babies at the pet stores). Idk if you wan't to call me a hater but If you really did research like the intro to the video showed then you would have probably ended up with two guinea pigs in the first place or none at all because you might not be able to care for two at the same time.....
so that cage is actually pretty big for one Guinea pig but the divider makes it look small

I have been wanting a guinea pig ever since I watched G-Force when I was six. And I'm a sophomore now and can finally buy it on my own since I work. My mom hates them and would never get me one but now she can't say nothing lmao. Of course I asked her though, she said as long as she never has to see the "rat"

It only looks big because those pigs are babies...When they are older and once you have all the houses and tunnels in the cage there is no room whatsoever for the piggies to run. That cage is the minimum for 1 female guinea pig.

Happened across your video hope they have s long happy life in the family.
There are lots of great sites for info. On UA-cam a great one to check out or even contact you have questions is LA guinea pig rescue. They put out tons of info and help with how too kind of stuff along with their rescue. I’ve bred g pigs most of my life and LAGPR has taught me a few things.

We got rabbits for my birthday and we did months of research before hand,they lived wonderful lives with us and our doe lived 9 or ten years,this was NOT an impulse. Although we will probably not get anymore rabbits as they were more work than any other pets we’ve had.

Just a warning sometimes if you live in a state that has very warm climate do not get fuzzy things or else the guinea pig can easy over heat and die, just a warning if you have a warm climate :) You are one of the only guinea pig buys (thats new to guinea pigs) get a good sized cage (its a little small but should be fine! ) Nevermind not small!! :D I just saw it wrong

Don't feed too much spinach-can cause bloating
The minimum cage size for two is 7.5sq feet
Make sure they have loads of hay as it takes up eighty percent of their diet!
Also, a good guinea pig channel is 'little adventures' you may want to check them out!

A “black fured guinea” is not a type of guinea pig
how old are you, like 9? who names their guinea pig “goose goose”... and “black fured guinea” is not a type of guinea pig. it’s the coloring of the guinea pig, not the breed. also, it’s spelled “furred”, not “fured”. i’ll tell you about my two. I have a (breed)North American (color) Tri-Color and an (breed) Abyssinian (color) Lilac guinea pig. that’s how it’s supposed to be. and no one uses that much emojis... and plus, if they become “friends”, they’ll then become bonded and it will be hard to separate them. please learn proper grammar.

That's a great cage choice for you guinea pig even i have it for my 2 guinea pigs but, what I would change is the hay rack. They are very dangerous, there heads can get stuck in the bars. I would suggest to put a pile of hay in the corner!

I’m going to get two guinea pigs as soon as I have my own home!!!!! My parents don’t want me to have even one guinea pig. It’s little more than a year until I get my own home!!!!! I’m already doing some research about guinea pigs!!!!!! I have a book about guinea pigs!!!!!! And I’m going practice with my robot guinea pig! I will care for it as if it is a real guinea pig!!!!!! I will even give it a make shift cage! And if it’s time to get the guinea pigs then I would adopt them than getting them from a store!!!!!

I’m not trying to be an expert or anything but my friend has some guinea pigs and she has a way bigger bigger hid out so if you have time you can go to the store and get different because even though the guinea pigs like small then they’re going to get so much better and they can’t even fit and they won’t be able to sit in the hut. And I would just like to let you know that I hope you have two guinea pigs I didn’t see another one there in there because that much attention and human can give them it’s not the same amount of attention guinea pig can give a guinea pig and guinea pigs can die from depression without having a friend

You need hay for the guinea pigs it’s 84% of their diet if you already have it

That’s a pretty big cage, and In the description they said they bought another guinea pig.
For 2 guinea pigs you need to have a least 11 square feet. That cage is only 8 square feet.

EnchantedDragon FireCrystal it wasn't cat litter it was corn cobb bedding from what it looks like or the pellet style paper bedding. Perfectly fine.
