I have a 2021 sport hatch cvt. When the warranty ends I want to get this turbo, Hondata has a preset tune for this I believe. But they also have a +6 PSI tune without turbo swap. I’m wondering if the bast tune is just as good without buying a bigger turbo.
Will do sir. I posted a link to an online forum where several others already have done this. I am scheduled to get the car tuned by Drob in a few weeks. We will look at it with the base map and by then i will have had the turbo on the car for over a month. 🍻
Questions, I'm getting one of these turbos on Friday for this exact swap on my civic sport (19). Can I just swap the turbo and not tune it? Just want a more efficient turbo and slight top end power.
I think anything is possible. My car isnt stock and is fbo running a tsp tune. No issues after 10k. I am getting tuned by IMW in a few weeks and will ask all these questions to the tuner.
There are 2 different motors provided in the civic sport. If you have the 1.5 turbo engine then this turbo is a direct bolt on. If you have the 2.0na motor then you need to buy a full kit to turbo it.
@@00royce this video is in reference to swapping a si/crv turbo onto a l15b turbo engine. If you are trying to turbo a nonTurbo civic this is not the path.
Honestly there are a lot of options. When I made this video no one was picking up crv turbos. Now they are expensive and it’s a better option to go aftermarket like rv6 or 27won
I agree that a dct option would have really benefited this platform. But it would have been superior to the manual option. Curious if the 11th gen r will get a dct.
Still running better than ever. Highly recommend the mod if you can get your hands on one cheap. It basically just spools up a little faster and gives the car a little more top end power.
@@atflores85 sweet yeah I got one and going to put it on the car here soon buddy.yeah I was afraid it was going to mess with the engine a little bit but I’m running a 27won turbo inlet pipe and a PRL cobra cold air intake with a race MAF and a PRL intercooler, PRL catless down pipe and front pipe then my ktuner I have a phearable stage 1 tune
@@atflores85 hell yeah. Well I just put mine on today and tuned my car with a stage 1 phearable tune and then John is wanting to do a Etune with with me so we can dial it in with everything we did to the car
@@deerkings i went to drob for a tune but decided against it because of the stock clutch. Now messing with e blend but using ktuner base map. Very curious to find the optimal setup with my stock clutch.
You don’t need it but it doesn’t hurt to have it. I recommend it along with new gaskets. I personally didn’t want to spend over $150 on the si inlet pipe.
When you turn on the car the turbo is fed with a coolant line. If you follow the turbo instructions from 27won its the same steps. I dont believe there is a need to prime anything.
Have you changed your oil viscosity for this application?

Just wondering if you do the turbo swap do you have to switch the wastegate actuator or is it the same?
I believe they are the same but can’t confirm as I used the actual tot that came with the turbo.
Hi, any dyno numbers with new Si turbo?

That’s exactly what this will do.
Is there difference between fk7 turbo vs si turbo?
Si turbo has a different fin count that equates to a little more top end power.
Heard the stock turbo was powerful enough to damage the stock rods ?? What do you think about that statement ?

MyGuyFTW i run a tsp tune as well 1 year and around 24-25k km and no issue
Where did you buy turbo ? Good price :)
Wouldn’t happen. Only way that would happen is constant abuse and neglect.
Where did u buy the new turbo ?????
Does the si turbo spool louder or it sounds the same
Nice vid bro... any chance a turbo can fit on a 2019 honda civic sport?

can you add turbo in a honda civic sport 2.0 engine 2019
sorry no this will not work on that motor.

I approve of this turbo upgrade. :-)
Couldn't you just swap out the compressor wheel on the stock turbo?

Idk if you still answer comments but can the cvt transmission even handle that much power?
They're are people pushing 350+ on cvts lol
@@Robbritt1991 I’m sure, but how much life are they taking off their cvts.
I have the cvt and it feel really really fast if you ignore how it does nothing for 3 seconds after flooring it. They should have done an 8 speed js .

Get a injen throttle response box, I put one on my cvt bigg difference no lag at all
Yo any idea where I can find one of those 3 inch catless dp?
They’re basically impossible to find at this point. A few PLM 3” catless dps floating around on eBay. Haven’t had any issues with mine
Where did you get the turbo my guy?
LKQ crv turbo but I haven’t seen them this cheap in a long time.
