- Today I install a Lambtek Innovations winch disconnect switch bracket kit. I ordered the full kit which is ready to install right out of the box. This kit is a great option for cutting power to the winch while it's not in use. It is a safer option than having power to the winch full time. Install was straight forward and easy. The kit is well made and well thought out. LambTek did a great job. I enjoy supporting small companies that find simple solutions to issues. Below are the links to the kit, Instagram, and to the forum pages. Thanks for watching.

Love it dude!! Super clean install! Can't wait to see more!
Thank you, and thanks for watching. Super solid product and say install.
Thanks for the great walk through on this (and all sorts of other Taco mod goodness)!
Thank you for the kind words, and for watching.
This is a great little ad on
I really like not having power to the winch full time. One less thing to worry about. Thanks for watching.
And yet another great video 👍
Thank you very much. I'm trying, still unable to get the filming & editing just right.
This is pretty cool!!
Thanks, I think so too.
Next do a engine bay cleaning :).
Ha, yes I thought about it. Still bothers me to hose it down. Thanks for watching.
Was wondering if you have interior switches in cab also? Just purchase a winch and have way too many wires going through the firewall already. Looks like a nice solution to go wireless.
I do not have a power switch in the cab for the winch. This is the switch in the set I run. It keeps the winch from having power full time. Thanks for watching.
@@ClassyTacos Good job on the vid. Thanks for reply. ((🤙🏾))
Hi Classy, Do you know what's up with the 5 minute rating (500A - 5 min) on the Blue Sea 6006 winch switch? I'm about to buy for same install but not sure about only 5 min max of winch running time (if that's what it means)? - Thanks
I’m not really sure. I will say 5 min of straight winching is a ton of heat and power expended. I have yet to hit a 5 min pull ever. I’ll go for bit and let it cool. Most times after the initial pull I’m done as the winch has done its job. Thanks for watching.
@@ClassyTacos Ok awesome! That makes sense, 5 min all you need then. Does this mean the switch overheats at 5 min, flips itself off, or melts or what?
@@75Built I imagine it would shut off as a safety feature before anything happens. But, you know anything can happen.
Your website is still down. Is there a kit available for a 5th Gen 4Runner?
Just to be clear the website is not mine and I am not a member of the company. I'm just a dude who likes the product because it's well built, well thought out, and I like supporting small companies with great ideas. I paid full price for my kit. He is a one man show doing his best. He is taking orders and making kits via the thread listed in the description on TacomaWorld. Right now it appears that is the only way to contact him. You can also to message him on IG @lambtekinnovations. I can not say for sure it would fit a 5th Gen Runner, but I would assume it would. Look at your spacing between the battery and inner headlight support and also check to see if you have the same set up for the tiny speaker/mounting holes.
@@ClassyTacos Thank you. Do you have another website or a email I can contact them? I do not want to start an instagram account, I barely can stand Facebook and I cannot find them on facebook.
@@lemaitrethemonk I can understand that. I just sent him a PM over on TW with your email address and a brief summary of what you are looking for. I'm hoping he reaches out to you directly. Thanks for watching.
@@ClassyTacos Big ups, brother! Thank you. I am getting older and more weary of social media. I am fighting off twitter and instagram as long as possible. Thanks.
The switch by itself it $38. Why $150 for bracket and lil section of wire?
You are paying for a complete plug and play kit. If you want to buy all the pieces separately, cut, sheath and crimp/prepare the ends and create your own bracketed go fort it. It would cost me more in time than just buying the kit. And you are supporting a small one man business. Its an easy choice for me.
