What a Truly Innovative Marketing Idea! Adding an AR to an already Flooded AR Market, with a Must Have For Every AR Owner, A Spec Ops Trigger, Who Knew? I wonder if their SpecOps Trigger will fit my 1886 Springfield 45/70 Infantry Rifle? I've already got a Picatinny Rail added to it. Easy Peasy using Only half a dozen SpecOps Sheet Metal Screws, but I had to use Duct Tape to fit my MagPul Light under the barrel, and I'm considering sawing off the stock so I can add a MagPul Adjustable Stock. Some Idiot told me that I'd destroy the Value and Aesthetics of an Antique Weapon if I did that.....What a Maroon. I told him "Antique, Schmantique, Can't you see just how Cool it looks, now that I've Upgraded it to a Customized And Unique Weapon I've Created?" The Nerve of some people!
Don't decry having choices. They're ultimately what make products better and less expensive for consumers. I remember when you couldn't buy a crappy AR15 for less than $1k. Now, decent ARs are all over for less than a thou. And good ones cost what the crappy ones use to-- And it's all because of competition/choices
@@jmmartin7766 Fair Point, but it's sometimes Comedic seeing the calisthenics gone thru to distinguish their AR from all the others on the market. I know and am familiar with Marketing, but it sometimes strikes me funny.....Not exclusive weaponry, but the strategies used in any product
One of the many Facts of life. Q prices are ridiculous and I’d prefer to give that same amount of cash to DD, ADM, Giselle, LWRC, KAC (in no particular order)
I don’t see this being much greater then the aero lower/Bcm upper crowd with a LaRue trigger. But not terrible if you want something ready out of the box.
That's most of my builds - AP upper and lower with LaRue triggers and mounts. Got some full Geissele and LaRue builds too. I might buy a full Q Weasel to compare.
^^This. About 10% of the people are left handed and about 33% are cross dominant. Additionally 100% of the people who use a gun for self defense can not be sure that a self defense situation will afford them the luxury to choose which side they will be firing from.
@@andreivaldez2929 I don't know if there are any publicly available metrics covering ambi market share. LWRC, DD, LMT, ADM, Radian, Sig are the mid-high end manufacturers who make ambi lowers. LWRC and Radian are the only ones that exclusively produce ambi lowers. The rest produce both ambi and standard lowers. ADM's UIC's are likely the biggest share of their products, but again, they do make a less expensive standard lower. I'm not sure where LMT falls on that spectrum. Their MARS-L and MARS-H lowers are very popular, but as before, they likewise make less expensive standard lowers. DD has recently released an ambi lower, but it is definitely the niche minority product in their lineup and Sig has announced, but to my knowledge not yet released, an ambi lower with the same controls that can be found on their MCX products. After that you have to wade through the weeds of lesser known, obscure brands or outright unbranded parts. In the case of many of these you have to dig to find out who the actual "manufacturer/assembler" is. If taken in context, you're correct about the ambi market being small as compared to the general market of standard receivers. Now, whether or not the ambi market is actually small...who knows.
@@alexh4436I don’t switch hands, just shoulders and close my right eye. If you don’t have a hand, you’re not going to be very effective at wielding a rifle regardless. Ambi controls are highly overrated and people tend to lean on the idea to make up for a lack of training.
TLDW: local firearms manufacturer and narcissist tries to justify his $1,600 rifle w/o a CHF barrel while failing to provide a legitimate reason why he claims it will "disrupt the market"
It's better because it has the best trigger ever made, of course! And you'll just have to trust us when we say that, because we outright admitted that you can't feel the difference 🤣🤣🤣
I think it's just the "affordable, high-end AR with a recognizable brand", thing he's banking on. Otherwise it's just another AR in a sea of ARs. Being high-end or not doesn't make it stand out except for Q's signature colors.
Because the factory AR won’t be the same quality or have the same QC. That shit matters. Plus, the SW isn’t that expensive. $1500 isn’t pricey for a good AR.
Not sure but getting any aero lower and good quality upper like bcm or dd you can Slap those two together for less than 1200 and have a more parts that you want instead of typical milspec standards if that what you want.
James, c’mon man. Kevin as an absolute tool bag. The only “disruption” happening here is Kevin’s massive ego trying to fit in the door. A mid AR at best, being sold at S-tier prices.
What? Cmon man. S tier is like 4k and up, nemo arms and kac? 1400-1600 is mid tier. Seems like a mid tier and mid price, if it holds up it will slot into that group just fine, nothing spectacular but not awful.
I mean what’s so special about it? The customer shoulder on the muzzle threads? The trigger? A competent builder can assemble something at home that’s equivalent for half the price of this. If people are shopping in this price range, why would they choose to buy from the meme gun company vs anyone else ?
@@noroom4commies086 my point is it’s a mid tier product being sold above where it should be. It’ll probably “be fine” but I’m not spending a dime on things from Q. Don’t know many that will either. And for good reason.

For the type of shooting most civilians are going to do -- it being light is more of a negative. Its one thing if you're a professional soldier shooting so many rounds you have to carry multiple uppers in-country because you're going to eventually have to send it back to be relined and you're doing 24km a day patrols, but for the average Joe who wont get nearly as many time on the gun, they'd probably be better off with someting 2-3lbs heavier for half a much where they wont have to worry about shooting inbetween heartbeats because the gun is so light.
Not sure what excites me less these days, yet another AR or yet another polymer 9mm subcompact. Probably need these companies to pump out a few hundred more of each to really settle the debate.
@@StephonRKell I mean, that's not exactly an unreasonable position. Besides iterative changes, firearms technology hasn't evolved past the post WWII adoption of auto-loading weapons. There comes a point (a point which we have definitely reached imo) where you are effectively just slapping new shades of lipstick on the same old pig.
I've had a Honey Badger and a short 300 BLK Sugar Weasel, both of which ran flawlessly. In fact, both guns came factory and would run subs and supers without adjusting the gas block. Top notch guns.
If it's not a cold hammer forged barrel, I totally think its cost cutting. Thanks for having our backs and asking about that James! (I still feel like its cost cutting lol)
It really isn't cheaper though and he's right, if the chamber isn't hammer forged then it isn't any added benefit. Hammer forging actually was cheaper for a long time and yet they were able to charge astronomical prices. I don't know if its still cheap but it was.
He does make a legitimate point about the chamber and the potential accuracy issues. LWRC hammer forges the chamber and the barrel at the same time. I'm not _sure_ if any of the other companies making barrels in America does that, but I _think_ Daniel defense does as well. That being said, unless there are actual issues with your AR, 99/100 modern manufactured AR's are going to be more accurate than the person using them. Even if they're 3 or 4 moa, most people aren't going to notice or care. The people that do notice and do care are going to seek out the products built with accuracy in mind.
@@WayneOldham210 anything is better than a decade old relic with little innovation, next thing you'll say 45 acp is better than 10 mm 🤣 or that eotech is the best
@eddyflo2978 you must be a child saying decade try almost 4 decades and still running great and still used by police and governments all over the world.
I have handled Q products in a local store. The upper to lower lockup is no better than an s&w. The daniel defense sitting next to it blows it out of the water.
@@aww2525Nah man, I’ve own neither but have handled both a good amount and the Daniel is definitely more impressive. Don’t get me wrong, the Q is solid rifle and has a unique aesthetic but it’s not exceptional. At that price point I’d still steer someone to an LWRC.
As someone with both a Geissele and the Q trigger (LTBTEM), I can say that there is a difference. Geissele is really great don't get me wrong, but the Q trigger has a noticeably cleaner break, and much smaller reset. It's not even close when you have them side-by-side.
I like the longer handguards because you can rest the rifle further out on it while not impacting your zero if say you get sloppy (does not make eye contact and whistles).
Literally the best trigger? Im sure Geissele and Trigger Tech are not sweating this guy one bit. Q is a joke to so many in the gun community, and this joke of an AR just continues that time honored tradition.
Maybe 10 years ago bcm could be considered high end but not now. They've had major qc issues, they use excessively large gas ports, and their handguards and barrel nuts are not as strong as competitors.
I don’t know if I’ll buy a Sugar Weasel, because it’s so similar to the rifle I naturally built over time (16” 5.56, adjustable gas, cherry bomb mount, Reptilia long grip, m-lok handguard, LaRue trigger, radian charging handle), but this is absolutely my recommend for anyone looking to get into an AR. If I had to do it all again (and I still just might), I’d save $500 of experimentation and just buy this with every feature I’ve added aftermarket to my build.
"The most crisp break you'll find out of anything, the shortest reset available..." I want a comparison between this trigger and the Blackout Defense Zero trigger. I have not seen or felt anything like the Zero Trigger. Edit: Zero Trigger wins. You are at the wall as soon as you touch it. Does not move until it breaks. This one moves maybe 2mm before it breaks. Also reset is better on Zero Trigger.
Is it drop safe tho? I assume it is and if it isn’t I’d rather go with Larue or Geissele anyways over something POSSIBLY a tiny bit better with a worse track record and made buy a company that Kevin owns
I wouldn't say it is gong to be "disruptive" at all. While it may be a great gun - it isn't exactly any different from any of the other guns in that price point from a perspective of customer in a gun store. There is a ton of ARs in that "just under two grand" segment that have "upgraded" triggers, controls, barrels, etc. If I walk into my local gun store today, there are at least 10 ARs in stock in that price range, with similar features and most of them are from a brand that has way more recognition. For 70% or more of new/casual gun buyers they have no clue who "Q" is - and just see some AR from a company they never heard of, with a silly name - sitting on a shelf with manufacturers they recognize. The best thing Q can hope for is this product is made in large-ish numbers are introduces more people to the brand, if that doesn't happen then it is just going to slide under the radar while people keep buying the more well known brands instead.
@@512mbflashdrive that is only relevant on how many they are actually making. I don't see them manufacturing as many as other brands like DD, Sig, etc.
Agreed, just like Pit Vipers, all hype. If everyone says is cool…probably isn’t. Mainstream is lamestream. Kurt Cobain had it right, go out before you sell out.
Once again Kevin tries to sell an aero quality ar that they charge $1500 for. Only thing unique they have is their twist rate on 300blkout. His trigger is just your average cassette style trigger that he charges $300 for when you can get a cmc which is basically the same thing for 1/3 the price. It would be nice to see a torture test comparison of a BCM/Aero build that is sub $1500 compared to his AR. Or even just a bcm upper on a psa lower.
Looks pretty gassy suppressed for a AR coming from a suppressor company. Other companies use A5 buffers and gas ports sized correctly for suppressors. LMT uses carriers that have a longer cam pin path for longer dwell time.
I'm not sure where the market being saturated is bad. Means you can buy a rifle that is ridiculously good high-end or ridiculously cheap, and everything in between.
@@AdoreYouInAshXI well that’s part of the problem. This Q rifle is now in the mix with dd, evolve, adm, lwrc, bcm, fn, et. I’d pick any one of those ahead of this sugar weasel
The owner's got a bad rep of berating customers, suppliers, etc. I feel like for this to do great it'd have to be better and less expensive than a Recce 16 which I don't see happening
I'm all for competition-- but I think Q is screwing up pricing their basic guns on a level with DD and Bravo Co. Especially when they are "literally" not on the same level. They really need to look at PSA's business model (not necessarily their 'quality' model), make some truly affordable guns ($1k &/or less), get their name out there, and work up from there
They're banking on the Honey Badger's good name justifying their prices, and also they're trying to sell you an expensive gun. A lot of people want to buy expensive things because they're expensive. Also, this is the 2nd big guntuber channel showcasing Q's new products. Demolition Ranch did as well. They're trying to be a bigger brand with higher sales so their quality can fall as a result.
Is anyone else tired of $1,000+ rifles coming without any sort of sights??? Especially when they tout their rifles are "ready to go" or "the best out of the box" or what have you.... like uumm NO bc I have to spend more money to even be able to shoot it. I get that most will throw an optic on there but still.
I am as working class as they get, i dont have many things at all that are high end, im not even sure if Q is a high end company as the only thing i know about them is a few videos from youtube and my one snd only suppressor purchase of a Q erector i use for my taurus tx-22 and my built ruger 10-22. I must say i am absolutely impressed with the suppressor they built, from the overall build quality, to the design, the materials used, and the machining and fitment all top notch in my book. The price was absolutely reasonable as well. Hats off to you guys. If i ever opt to splurge on another ar i might look this up as the literal best trigger ever sounds fascinating, and from what ive seen, yall will back those words up.
How did this disrupt anything, they’ve been out for awhile and haven’t changed anything. It’s as expensive as a dd or bcm which both have better track records. Whole videos an add very sad
I’m all for more options in the market, but in reality it’s PSA that has disrupted the AR market by delivering affordable and reliable rifles to the masses that sober up the egotistical high dollar manufacturers. Q as a company makes AR’s from companies like PSA even more attractive because they deliver the same or better quality, and sometimes better feature sets, for 1/3 to 1/4 of the price, or less. The BRN180 or JAKL in 300BLK are the honest and sensible man’s Honey Badger because they’re just better at doing the same thing, which isn’t that hard to accomplish with aftermarket parts anyway.
Tbh their volume currently isn’t a negative factor. These uppers and complete rifles are sitting on shelves all over the country. People simply just aren’t that interested. The q fans will buy some products but largely the people who have 1k to spend on an upper or 2k to spend on a rifle just aren’t that interested in Q. Those people usually end up with a bcm, dd, fn etc
My favorite part was when James said "so it isn't a cost cutting measure" when talking about why they didn't use CHF barrels and he immediately replied "wellll....."
@@brianrich7828 LWRC is also here in Maryland, so they're being taxed out the ass. New Hampshire has lenient taxation, and yet Q has no savings to show you.
Street price is just under $1,400. That's pretty close to a Sabre. Top of the line Sabre with the Fn barrel and Geissele trigger is $1,250. Based purely on the parts list , as long as PSA did their job right and assembled them correctly, the top tier Sabre should be a damned good rifle for that price.
I have a 300 blk sugar weasel, it’s good but I question durability. The rail took one knock and it bent. I don’t baby my rifles but sugar weasel need it. To be fair, it’s stupid light.
The one thing I like about Daniel defense was the m4a1 ris ii with the quad rail. One thing I wish is we'd see more offerings with options for quad rails if someone wants it.
That's just a good way to add excessive weight on a rifle that has very low recoil. If you're planning on slapping a lot of attachments to it then that quad rail will make it even heavier. I think you can still buy quad rails to attach to any AR rifle.
@@Fenster21 Only 4oz but yet it's noticeable when handling it, because the rifle doesn't feel as well balanced with extra weight being out toward the end of the rifle. A slim m-lok rail also feels better to grip in your hand. I guess if you're one of those people that just likes to put a bunch of gadgets all over the entire gun, the quad is probably a great option.
@actionjksn quad just looks cooler, simple as. I have clamshells on my C7, quads on my SBR, I don't see the point in mlok. It's not QD, it's not lighter than clamshells, and what's the point in FF outside of benchrest shooting at 300 m+, at which point why not use a quad?
@@Fenster21 Some people still like quad rail and that's fine. My slim tubes feel more natural to grip and I think most people agree with me on that. I'm definitely not a fan of the clamshell system. The only thing mounted on my carbine is flip up front sight and a small StreamLight and a QD sling mount. I don't need any more mounting space and it still feels pretty lightweight. My upper receiver adds a little extra weight but it's toward the back of the gun so you don't notice it.
I have a sugar weasel and the people commenting don’t understand the quality is astounding for the cost. I also own Radian guns as well and they are absolutely comparable at two very different price points.
You can just buy a bcm or build a better riffle of super duty upper for less. I don't see this rifle being anything more than a rifle for people who like Q, there is nothing wrong with that but I don't think it's a game changer by any means.

There are way too many AR15 manufacturers out there. Choice is good but at this point there’s too many options for consumers and the benefits of one over another are marginal especially with the amount of customization you can do Unless you have proprietary parts that have tangible benefits like Knights or LMT I don’t know how you stick out in the AR market minus having a really low price like PSA
I held a PSA Sabre just a few days ago. Didn't shoot it, a friend of mine got one and let me handle it for a little bit, and for around a 1000 bucks. This mid-tier AR companies, need to be worried. The rifle looked, felt and functioned just as good as any rifle 2-3 times it's price range. I own several ARs and built all of them myself, and IMO since PSA came out with the Sabre Line, pricewise I don't think I could build something as nice.
Another excellent video as always.... Personally I'm kind of a cheap ass and my many Palmetto State armory AR-15s do everything I expect or need them to do.
My CHF chrome lined FN barrel shoots moa all day and yes generally they are more expensive than say barrels like Ballistic Advantage but it's going to last 4 times longer than a stainless one then I don't have to get the barrel replaced every 3 to 6 thousand rounds I have to say that taper lockup for the muzzle device is the way of the future they are definitely innovating great video!!!!
I have the FN upper combo from Palmetto on my PSA AR. I got it on sale for 500 bucks. I think its usually 699-799 range. Good stuff. The handguard is very nice and has the clean mid section so you can wrap your hands around the whole gun easily.
A 12.5 and a 14.5 DD and both shoot moa . Under that with handloads. 12.5 shot a 2-3/4" @ 300y with a 50g ballistic tip, it's why I bought the 14.5. Didn't buy complete DD rifles, found the barrels on sale and built.
I bought a 7" 300 BLK Sugar Weasel for 50% at a end of year blowout with military discount, then converted it to a Honey Badger with the Q Shorty Stock, Radian Safety, and oversized magazine release. Came out amazing and saved a ton of money.
Yep the sugar weasel I actually considered at one point. Wanted to get into the 300blk game and I would’ve gotten dealer cost on a sugar weasel. Decided against it and went for a 9” virtus. Tbh glad I did. The virtus is a great rifle and the hb/sugar weasel is just a bit too short for my liking
I paid $2000 for my 300blk sugar weasel, over a year ago. A little pissed that they’re adding all these accessories NOW, when mine came with a mil-spec trigger, and receiver parts. I feel cheated… Thanks a lot Kevin… I paid though 😅
Dude is drinking exactly what I would stereotype him to drink. Now, what does he drive? Lifted jeep gladiator is my guess, possibly with a bunch of florescent brightly colored junk trim pieces?
My question is always why do gun manufacturers set up their base of operations in anti-gun states? They should relocate to the Midwest or a gun friendly state.
Most anti gun states still don't want to lose the tax dollars these companies bring. When washington state went full fascists earlier this year they amended the law to allow Aero Precision to continue operating there, because the millions of tax dollars were too much to lose. I hope Aero manages to move to Idaho, but they just spent a ton moving their factories out of Tacompton into Lakewood.
Hard pass on stainless barrel. That's like the crap HK pulled with the MR556 and leaving out the chrome lining that the 416 gets and then still charge over 3k. Honestly if they're the same cost, you get the barrel with the better longevity. I don't know a shooter anywhere worried about a 1 MOA difference at 200 yards.
The choice of a stainless barrel is absolutely a cost-cutting measure. He says out of one side of his mouth, "I can get CHF barrels for the same price as this match stainless, we chose the stainless for the best accuracy/dispersion" ...then immediately goes onto explain exactly how you can bring CHF barrels down to similar accuracy potential *if only they are manufactured properly* - which comes down to a fairly simple set of issues that can be described in just a few simple sentences and costs only slightly more to do, especially at scale. I don't know about you guys, but if I'm going to blow $1600 on a high-end AR and I was given the option for a $50 upcharge for a CHF barrel that offered the same sub-MOA accuracy potential as the default "match stainless" SKU, but with 3-4 times the barrel lifespan and can be ridden hard and put away dirty eight days a week with no concern whatsoever for corrosion issues that would be a guarantee with any stainless barrel treated the same way... then I'd be taking the CHF option every time. And I would seriously question why the stainless option exists at all. Who in their right mind would want to pay the same premium pricing that could get them one of BCM's top-tier guns (or an even nicer fully custom build) for an ultralight tactical AR-15 that has to be babied like a bench rifle to avoid rust and will have to be rebarreled every few thousand rounds to keep a sub-MOA punch card? Two types of people. Those who don't know much about guns, and those who have more money than sense. The concept for this rifle is very transparently a cynical ploy to cash in on the brand recognition that Q has built up over the years via serving the smaller market of the LE/mil special operations community by releasing a much less impressive product to the mass market that's still able to pull them a similar per-unit profit margin by coasting on the Q name. Not a gun for serious people, and 95/100 sold will probably end up as safe queens.
$1600 is more mid tier, so you’re not really paying top tier prices for this rifle anyway. Getting a SS barrel for that price is somewhat understandable when considering all the other features that come with this rifle and when compared to the more premium brands in the space such as KAC, LMT, HK etc. All costing $1k more (at least) which is not a trivial expense to most consumers.
Looks like a really nice rifle, but it's not really game changing at all, it doesn't offer anything that you can't already get. I like the clear anodized aesthetic and will probably buy one when available, but there's not much you can do with an AR at this point that's gonna WOW the crowd.
$1500 street price is fine, but absurd to call it disruptive. I have a Honey Badger SBR and I shot out the barrel with a mix of subs and supers in 3K rounds. Want to disrupt? Put in a CHF barrel and stop worrying about 1 MOA which nobody reading this can achieve with 77gr OTM and a 1-8.
In a market that is so saturated with certain firearms, it seems that every company is always striving to have the “best”. But most people seem to forget the “best” will always be subjective. What the industry really needs is to be different from one another. Just changing up the frame or receiver so it doesn’t look like every other one on the market makes a huge difference.
Oh man, a lightweight AR-15 with a 16" barrel! How will the market survive?! The level of fart-sniffing here should be obvious based on the fact that he says it has "literally the best trigger ever made," and justifies that claim based on "all these little things you can't feel." Gee, I'm sure that will help the next time my trigger-sensing robot has to shoot my rifle.
I want to at least see something more useful in an AR15 footprint than 5.56...6arc, 6.5 Grendel, 400 Legend, 10mm. Give us something that is going to kick some ass, a 20" would make sense too. Still better than a .308 in 16" or SBRs with huge silencers.
This would be great if you have the same reputation for reliability as the other manufacturers you listed do. For the parts you're getting you might as well just buy a PSA.
I've just bought the Sugar Weasel , it's my first ( and only AR-15 ) , there are multiple things I like about it , I fired someone else's AR and it had some kick , very manageable but with the Weasel I really don't feel it , I don't know where it goes but it's great , the features , the smooth trigger etc.. but the one thing I have against it is it doesn't have a manual. It's my first. I know some people will say go online , I don't want to bring my gun in my little office to clean it. I'm not familiar with the AR so I'm not familiar with disassembly and reassembly. I'd rather just have the book. Nothing wrong with a book. It's a great gun but if your not knowledgeable with take down and reassembly , I can't recommend it
I’m a fan of seeing so many brands invested into one platform. Be honest, without continual innovation from so many brands the AR likely wouldn’t even be close to where it currently is in terms of innovation.
It's amazing how many people can't seem to figure this out. They seem to think this is really bad because so many companies are making these things. This is the reason it's possible to get something that will work just fine for less than $500. I just saw on Reddit where someone was showing a complete upper and lower with all the parts needed to assemble it from PSA with the lower parts kit and stock, you could basically put together a functioning rifle for about $350. I'm sure it's not amazing but it's still a real AR15 rifle and the upper was already assembled, just the lower needed put together. So you can get as low indoor high-end as you want and everything in between. It's amazing how many gun people seem to be critical of this. Some of them in the comments seem like they're almost angry or offended about it. I think by flooding the market with an extreme number of these rifles will make it harder to ban them. I think every American household should have one, even if it's the cheapest one.

Tbh even those are more compelling, at least the echelon shows SOME improvements to a base model. Interesting? Eh. Disruptive? No. But closer on both than this thing
It looks pretty good to me. A bit more hate in the comments but it's not easy to get an AR that shoots that accurately and weighs 6lbs with a full length hand guard. I'd really like a 10 or 12 inch hand guard myself. If it truly is as accurate as he claims I'd consider one of these for sure.
I could get a BCM or Aero for less, or a DD or LWRC or ADM or LMT or KAC or Sig for slightly more money. There is no reason whatsoever to buy their mid tier at best, light to flimsy-ish and not even premium by their own lineup rifle.
I’m a Q hater for sure but $1500 isn’t bad for that rifle. That’s cheaper than a good amount of BCM rifles and I think you’re getting a better trigger safety and charging handle for that price. Plus if you’re planning on using a suppressor the included agb is cool.
@@docholliday3374 I’m not saying I would buy it. @@andreivaldez2929for the money I’d want a full ambi lower. At the very least.

I wouldn't say it is gong to be "disruptive" at all.

I think it's just them making an "affordable" Q rifle. Their other stuff is even more expensive.

Another excellent video as always.... Personally I'm kind of a cheap ass and my many Palmetto State armory AR-15s do everything I expect or need them to do.

PSA LIT
To be fair PSA is also on a mission money be damned. They are an ideological company where Q just wants money.
Why buy one good rifle when you can buy four mediocre ones?
@@justin4911 My thoughts exactly I'd rather have more cheap guns than one expensive one
Same, my FN barrel shoots MOA
Where’d you buy it?
Yep the sugar weasel I actually considered at one point. Wanted to get into the 300blk game and I would’ve gotten dealer cost on a sugar weasel. Decided against it and went for a 9” virtus. Tbh glad I did. The virtus is a great rifle and the hb/sugar weasel is just a bit too short for my liking
More to the differences between the HB and Sugar Weasel than controls and stock. But I get your point.
I paid $2000 for my 300blk sugar weasel, over a year ago. A little pissed that they’re adding all these accessories NOW, when mine came with a mil-spec trigger, and receiver parts. I feel cheated… Thanks a lot Kevin… I paid though 😅
"lol thanks for funding my hot tub bozo lol (middle finger)" kevin probably.
You could have done better for $2,000.
@@GeauxRussGeaux I’ve been called worse… But I’ve also been called better 😅
I got one recently and must say it shoots nicely. I love the trigger and after my brother in law dialed it in, even I was quite accurate at 100 yards.
The only thing disrupted is Qs unhinged rants.
Exactly. Probably end up getting chased out of the state anyway.
NH has more friendly pro-gun laws at the state level than much of the Midwest and south.
Indeed it's one of the ARs ever made.
As a machinist, this is quite possibly the best ad i could've seen for this product. I've never been closer to paying $1500 for a factory AR.
I would have liked to have seen an ambi bolt catch/bolt release. For the price.
Wow, a SS barreled AR with natural anodized receivers. 1/2 MOA lol.
I want to at least see something more useful in an AR15 footprint than 5.56...6arc, 6.5 Grendel, 400 Legend, 10mm. Give us something that is going to kick some ass, a 20" would make sense too. Still better than a .308 in 16" or SBRs with huge silencers.
I see good value here. Attractive entry option. Wish it was ambi!
There is absolutely nothing unique or better about this gun than any other one
Bu-but it has the big Q on the side
Best trigger ever made sounds like arrogance. The users make that decision, not the maker.
They’re having fun with it, who cares. But yeah not nearly the best IMO.
😂. *Waiting for the Syrup Possum to come out.*
I don't know. I don't think I'll be excited until I see a Molasses Marten or a Fructose Ferret.
That’s a bold statement “ Best trigger ever made in it “ I believe Bill Geissele would disagree with that assessment.
This would be great if you have the same reputation for reliability as the other manufacturers you listed do. For the parts you're getting you might as well just buy a PSA.
bro put the fucking crack pipe down good lord PSA LMFAO
Not too mention the fact their Sabre line up is down at 850 and 950 bucks hard sell from q imo
Auto no go with a stainless barrel, it’s a signature generator for light.
“We don’t build basic, old, heavy shit.”
“This is our basic AR series”
😂
Please point to the innovation in this gun. There is none. NONE.
@@InvidiousIgnoramus You or I have not seen the trigger in person. But that would be the first place I would start.
@@waterboy330 wow, a cassette style trigger. What's so special about that? They're everywhere, and according to people who've used it this one is nothing special.
I'd happily take one if they gave it to me, but if it's my own money, I'll just build what I want the first time.
Please stop schilling for Kevin.
Three videos within the past month seems a bit much, I agree.
One need not be Carmen Sandiego to figure out there is something amiss here. Starting to get an __8888 vibe. A name/channel which I *REFUSE* to utter.
As they say: _"One hand washes the other..."_
Stay classy my friends.
Palmeto still kicks everyone's ass in. Quality and price
I don't know a single person who likes, owns, or has interest in Q products. It's all over hyped, over priced, and the company figurehead has a terrible reputation, which he's seemingly super proud of. Hard pass.
i love that james always goes to places i USED to be the UPS guy at so i never actually get to see him. First sig and now q :(
Lmfao, this is literally the equivalent of another worthless striker fired polymer gun claiming that it's a Glock killer.
I love the handguard. I want to put a 12" handguard on a mock12 project
I’m a Q hater for sure but $1500 isn’t bad for that rifle. That’s cheaper than a good amount of BCM rifles and I think you’re getting a better trigger safety and charging handle for that price. Plus if you’re planning on using a suppressor the included agb is cool.
That’s kind of the point. I get the Q hate for sure but this is exactly how I feel.
I would gladly pay more for a BCM with a Geissele.
@@docholliday3374 I’m not saying I would buy it. I build my own rifles with the parts I want so buying a complete rifle at all to me doesn’t appeal unless it’s something like a KAC or LMT but if someone was gonna buy a complete rifle without the intention of changing parts it’s not a terrible value at $1500. Considering how overpriced the rest of Q’s shit is that surprised me.
Good video. Yes it’s another AR, but Q always ups the bar and does things differently & innovates. Nice 👍🏻
I remember talking to Kevin at his little shop on Five Forks Rd year ago when I was a patrolman. He was really nice & smart then too.
