"I tasted clay... Hmm im rolling"
Absolute mad man...
I had seen that Watkins Glen crash before, but I don't think I ever realized the extent of Steve Millen's injuries and his gritty comeback. What a Chad!
Also, it's unfortunate that Yannick Dalmas is remembered more for his crashes these days, because he's an underrated driver in Le Mans history, winning 4 times in an 8 year span in the 90s in 4 totally different cars.
Mark Webber crashed at the same spot in Interlagos in two different FIA world championships
Watching this on TV I thought for sure he was dead. Ol boy who used to sell me weed was a huge f1 fan and immediately made the connection.
That crash that Jann had at the Nurburgring was absolutely brutal, just very similar to that Gran Turismo movie that I just watched not too long ago.
It’s what the gran Turismo crash was recreating
Gran Turismo was based off Jann, it's the same accident
It's because it's the same crash bruh
They used original footage of the crash in the movie.
1 was killed in that crash
Great list again! I was one of the Rockenfeller requesters from video #1 :) Also great hearing Sarel van der Merwe’s name (as a South African). He was SUPER lucky in 1986, pitting a lap early by mistake at Le Mans with the replacement driver (Jo Gartner) suffering a suspension failure on the Mulsanne on his outlap, killing him in the accident. SuperVan is a legend over here. Johnny O'Connell diving over the guardrail to avoid getting hit is one of the scariest things I've seen in a while.
If you do a part 3, Masahiro Hasemis tire blowout and flip at Fuji in 1991 is a good contender...
It was actually the second crash at that same spot, as his car flipped over the wrecked car of Takeo Wada that had already had a similar incident just a few minutes prior!
I remember the Sarel Van De Merve and Davy Jones crash. I thought Davy was dead at first. Talk about a heartstopper
Always found the Rockenfeller crash comically slapstick. The way his car flies out of shot only to blow a bunch of dust and debris back into frame gave me Loony Tunes vibes
Oh dear God, Rockenfeller's crash was terrifying!
Was there a local yellow for that Steve Millen crash at the Glen in 93? I know IMSA's GTP was imploding but surely you'd think there was a local yellow for that though
11:57 commentators lack of concern is crazy
That’s what I was thinking!
1:28 This curve where the accident happened is the café curve famous here in Brazil for being one of the most dangerous curves on the circuit, it is not very easy to have accidents on this stretch but when it happens it is very dangerous,I think the most memorable ones were two stock car drivers who died on the stretch and the formula 1 accident in the rain between 2000 and 2003, I don't remember the year it happened but I remember Jordan wins
2003… funny enough that one of the drivers was Mark Webber 😂
Stephane Sarrazin also crashed there in 1999 (his only F1 appearance) as well as Nico Rosberg as a rookie
Rockenfeller and Webber were caught out by the LMP1 cant overtake a Ferrari GTE curse
#2 was the most horrifying crash I've seen
Watching two dudes limp away whilst another nearly gets run over and has to jump the fence to protect himself....eesh. if that happened today we'd be furious at the safety precautions.
Motorsports before the 2000s is insane when it comes to safety
You can really tell the times and how common fatal accidents were by the lack of reaction from the commentators to him almost getting run over
Me too so hard and powerful 😮😮
It's similar to the Dale/Barbazza collision
So wait that crash from Grand Turismo movie was based on a actual crash 😮😮 i thought was just for movie plot.
That last two clips were brutal.
At 11:59 if O'Connell was 50 yards up and dove over the fence like that he would have been killed falling down a steep drop onto the road at the infield tunnel... That whole accident could have been a fatality video.
11:55 I never noticed that he had jumped over the guardrail because of the Porsche.
The camera man on 3 is a legend!
On WEC races, I constantly notice that the Ferrari is always the cause of the crashes.
Its so true lmao
Yay the King has returned!!
💯 Yep. So glad !!
Awesome video!
I haven’t seen a lot of these. Awesome work
For #3, so long he’s *not* hindering the safety crew or getting anything gory, he should be good
That crash should’ve been an early hint of how dangerous high kerbs and gravel traps are.
Love your vids especially the indycar ones keep up the grind❤️
Thank you. 2024 will have the IndyCar content expanded :)
Rip to the fan that died 😢
That last one was just a Burnout double takedown. Holy hannah, it's amazing what folks are walking away from these days.
u are the best bro, u earned another fan and another subscriber
;D
I appreciate that. Thank you!!
I'm surprised two of these crashes didn't warrant an immediate red flag. They have been too trigger happy in F1 with the red lately, but when you have three crashed cars and a ton of debris like in the #4 and #2 examples that can't be covered under a full course yellow
3:34 - Ah yes; the 80’s the “LAST TIME” literally everyone cared about endurance racing……
I remember seeing Rocky's LeMans crash live! 2011 seems so long ago now...
0:34 why does it look like they’re carrying a coffin 😭😭😭
thats what i thought i was like damn that was quick
Car’s dead
saw scotts crash live as a kid. wild stuff
3:05 its jann Mardenborough
1994 michigan 500 would be a good future video, Goodyear wins from 2 laps down and lots of leaders having incidents
11:57 black car tried to finish the job 💀
You need to add Marvin kirchhofer's crash in the 2020 bathurst 12 hour it was brutal for sure and so many camera angles of it bathurst 12 hours always has brutal crashes
he just waved the dust flag🙈 at the first one
Davy Jones sure had bad luck at Road America
Poor mark webber literally done every horror crash there is
I have no idea if Davy Jones still races but if he doesn’t have a sponsorship with Kraken that’s a fucking crime
1985 Jim MULLEN AT Road America is interesting
Racing cars are made to break easily in a crash to absorb most of the impact
In the Watkins glen one was that Mike Joy commentating?
Yes it was.
The guy Just run over him, nearly
For Part 3 there is the Stephane Ortelli Monza crash in 2008
You saying Peugeot that way hurts me on so many levels.
You should do daniil kubica’s crash in F1
3:19 was a fatal crash
Memo Gidley at Daytona
Fun fact: rob kauffman was co owner of michael waltrip racing in nascar
SPrint Car crashes?
YO......HOW DAVEY ALIVE!
well the worst crash I've seen prob the first but keep it up well I'm the first I guess
Why does an af corse Ferrari crash somebody in every Wec race
Damn. I thought nascar race control was bad…. 🤦♂️
Hey man, am a big fan of your videos, but one comment on this which you're free to take or disregard:
In all of your variations on these videos, you've made it clear that you're not including fatalities. To me, a member of the crowd losing their life should stil be taken into account on that - their lives for me shouldn't be regarded as less than the driver's themselves, so I wouldn't personally have included that one.
Again though, genuinely am a long-time viewer of your vids so I hope you take this comment in the manner intended :)
I appreciate that. You are right, all the others do not include fatalities. A spectators life isn't any less important than a driver's life, however this particular clip was highly requested. Thankfully you do not actually see the spectator that lost their life or any others that got injured. That is the only reason I included this one.
@@Demise90Racing Yep, had a feeling that would most likely be your rationale - personally still wouldn't have put it, but I do appreciate that it's a difficult and nuanced point :)
The 1955 La Mans is worst ever.
Just make the top ten. No need for the commentary.
Clearly you don't understand how copyright works
@@Demise90RacingI think you add the right amount of commentary. Too much is not fun to watch but your vids add the perfect amount to make it enjoyable
@@Demise90Racing I don't have too, when there are plenty of videos made without commentary.
yes, those videos get copyrighted @@user-nh4xm7le1x
@@yeetpeople1507Well said. Totally agree.
Please don't become a crash porn channel. You make such great content, I'd hate to see it devolve into this on a regular basis.
Don't worry, it's just once in a while. They bring a lot of traffic through the channel and quite a few stick around for the other content. Otherwise they may not have found the channel.
Fair enough. Algorithm evils I suppose.@@Demise90Racing
I only know about this channel because of the first video, but I agree: it's easy to overdo it. These are great because they haven't all been on a thousand other lists
@Demise90Racing make what u want to man. Who are these people to tell u what to do and what not to?
