Nightmare Archfiend + Remove Brainwashing = 6K on board which means a massive swing in Cimo's favour - not including the 3K Barborosa. We don't know what Joseph had in his hand/would've drew but it would have to be something like LV + DAD + Gorz, to compete. Regradless, it would have been fun to watch.

@@sekaihunter9378 from the wiki for previous tcg ruling while under ude(which I believe should be the rulings of this time) If "Monster Reborn" is activated and "Remove Brainwashing" is chained (or was already active on the field), the monster goes to the side of the field of the player who activated "Monster Reborn", then switches back to the original owner immediately afterwards. So monsters reborn from the graveyard still go back and this should also hopefully apply to owner's seal for some reason owner's seal has like no documentation I could find

Summoner Monk can only summon LV4 and the monster summoned cannot attack. If the game continued, and Cimo drew Lava Golem, the tide might have changed. He can still live next turn even with 1k burn if the battle damage from MBT is less than 7k.
I know it's jank and mistakes happen, but some mistakes like the obvious Owner Seal is just so bad it makes it a little to hard to watch. Just me personally. Still awesome video. I get the whole, not reading meme, but like these are very simple 5d's decks. Not some Spyral or Dragon link deck. A very casual player can play the Owner Seal deck correctly I bet. I like the video, I don't dislike it, it's just those mistakes sometimes can be huge.
I feel you. It seems like they take the list from pojo, read the description and then record. No reading of the cards, nor any hand tests. I know some people like it when misplays happen, but that wasn't a misplay, that was a surrender because reasons!
Worst of it, its a card with just one sentence that literally says "take back your monster", not something like Master Endymion which I swear every time I read it it has another effect added to it.
The only reason MBT's list is considered as jank is because it doesn't have one of the most combo accessible in his deck, which is Silver Fang + Raigeki

This is without a doubt, my favorite episode of History of Jank. Seeing TGS Anime's Christmas deck (probably not the first person to do this, but its the one I'm familiar with) played by another big time Yugituber is bloody hilarious. Honestly, the idea isn't terrible, but there's just not any good way to find Owner's Seal/Remove Brainwashing when you really need it. I assume Santa Claws doesn't exist yet, because that card can actually draw you a card after you return it to your side of the field, which makes it very fitting for a Christmas Deck. Seeing Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness used to resolve Falling Down does make up for the fact that we never saw Archfiends back in early History of Jank. Recycling a Rescue Cat is also super dope and I'm really surprised no one was able to make Naturia Beast off of it
I played that Lava Golem Deck as well on one of the DS games. So much jank-fun! But you can also throw in some Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai in it to finish the game faster.
Lava Golem is a lot of fun to use with Relinquished in general, but especially Anima in modern YGO just because you get to select the zone. One of my favorite board breaks is Lava Golem + Instant Fusion for Thousand-Eyes Restrict to remove some rando mon, then Anima the LG. If only Instant Fusion were at 3 again.
When my best friend was new to Yugioh, I actually built a Duel Links deck revolving around giving your opponent Ra via exchange, let him pay all his lifepoints and then take it back.
I looked at the main deck of MBT's deck and couldn't stop laughing. And then he pointed out that it was Power Tool Turbo with Symbols of Duty and Falling Down, and I couldn't stop picking my jaw off the floor. This is now my favorite jank deck so far (hopefully it performs well)
Despite the misplays, this was a very good episode. I will say that this episode inspired me to make an old school owners seal deck that pre dates this one and it was infinitely better. I feel like this deck is far too focused on giving your opponent monsters but didn’t focus on taking them back. I recommend throwing in some creature swaps and add some more attack power by throwing the barbaroses and 3 skill drains. Not only that but trade those magical planters for some trade-ins since you will have 9 level 8s in deck.

Because it appears he didn't notice he was about to draw an out to royal decree "Breaker". Turning his traps back on and likely taking control of the duel for a second win in a row. Missed opportunity right there. Sometimes it really pays to not underestimate the deck you're running. Especially win Luck is a big factor in Yu-gi-oh. And cimo's pretty damn lucky as is. Like, almost Joey Wheeler lucky.
I've been playing some random Edison matches with the lava golem deck and it's unironically one of the strongest decks I've used. The OTK potential is crazy
I think cimo was planning on saving owner's seal for lava golem but that is still a big misplay because Mbt's deck can hardly out a 3k beater so owner seal on g3 was the play. Hardly means in this context that it does not have immediate exits.
I think, at this point, I'm pretty safe in saying that Cimo is not that great at this game. It's one thing to miss obvious plays in the Jank series, but even in Progression and History his miss plays are bad.

Graydlel/Kaiju/Relinquished/Etc. Or as I call it the reverse summon deck. Its great your opponents spend resources only to have Kaiju/Golem combos remove the support only to have Graydels to reclaim your own cards or relinquished to suck um up for direct attacks.
I do wish Jank had them come into the match without knowing what exactly the opponent is playing. The reactions to the nonsense that would unfold would be pretty great.

Good thing Cimooo's final attack with Golem in game 2 went through, if he had lost due to its burn damage despite having a tribute summonable Cyber Dragon in hand, that would've been as bad as not using Owner's Seal in game 3.
So people are talking about the Owner Seal, He also could've saved himself damage by activating and Paying Cost Nightmare Archfiends. Yes the Tokens wouldn't be summoned but, he would've gotten rid of Beast King which did represent total damage 6700. Had he taken the 2800 to the face, maybe Cimooooo couldn't stalled out enough to maybe get to Grinder, Lava or Queen.

In game 2, if the Lava Golem's hit had been stopped, it could have been tributed off for the Cyber Dragon in hand so you didn't die to effect damage.
I show up to cimooos different series every week and I root against him nearly every time 😅

Good thing Cimooo's final attack with Golem in game 2 went through, if he had lost due to its burn damage despite having a tribute summonable Cyber Dragon in hand, that would've been as bad as not using Owner's Seal in game 3.

This is nothing compared to what some jank lovers have made, there are so abominations out there that some how work.
So people are talking about the Owner Seal, He also could've saved himself damage by activating and Paying Cost Nightmare Archfiends. Yes the Tokens wouldn't be summoned but, he would've gotten rid of Beast King which did represent total damage 6700. Had he taken the 2800 to the face, maybe Cimooooo couldn't stalled out enough to maybe get to Grinder, Lava or Queen.
Now this is what I was waiting for! True JANK!
