Seems like MBT had probably been using Fusion Gate in Duel Links with Cyber Dragons and forgot that it’s only because of Cybernetic Fusion Support that you can use the graveyard for Fusion Gate.
I got SO HYPED because I've been looking for a generic fusion card that let's you banish mats from the gy(without banishing facedown), and I was convinced one didn't exist. I see Joseph banish stratos and immediately got disappointed when I googled fusion gate lmao.
Aww, dang it, this isn’t the version of Wetlands Beatdown I know and love. That version used Dupe Frog to stave off attacks until you got Wetlands and Junk Synchron, then making the most OBNOXIOUSLY large Junk Warrior ever conceived by Yusei himself.

That's enough to out Absolute Zero, even after Absolute Zero's boost assuming Sub Frog is the only water monster on the field. Though the Submarine Frog will get taken out in turn, it does clear the biggest obstacle. So assuming there's only one Ab Zero, take it out with Sub Frog, then summon and sit on Swap Frog (now at 3000). It's not a strong board, but it could be enough to keep him alive depending on what MBT had at the time.

Not sure that’s how it works. I have vague memories of trying something similar in the games and it didn’t work. Even back then, its fusion materials were Neos and a series of cards, not specifically Rainbow and Rainbow Dark.
I guess it depends when the errata was implemented. Until Maximum Gold last year, the last printing was ten years prior to Maximum Gold and listed "Rainbow/Dark Dragon". This was also around the time Absolute Zero was released, so you would think it Prisma could. But a UDE Forums post from 2008 says otherwise, so, who knows.
Sadly, the Japanese text always demanded an "Ultimate Crystal God" monster. So it was just a bad English name, and the rules are written based on the Japanese card names. Hence Harpies Brother and Frog the Jam.
It didn't come into play, but Jam breeding machine doesn't work like that. While it's on the field, you can't summon monsters period, not even special summon, you can only set stuff.

What I really love about these Edison decks is good deck building not seeing fifteen situation boss monsters which you have to draw and are usually bricks feels so nice
I remember playing a Rainbow Neos deck, mine also ended up being "Absolute Zero turbo". Most of the time is the best play, even when you do have the option to summon Rainbow Neos.
I played a Deck similar to Cimoooo's in a Yu-Gi-Oh! game on the Wii that also ran Junk Warrior to soak up that Wetlands attack buffs. I'm not gonna lie: It felt oh-so satisfying.
I guess Rainbow Neos was Errata'd because in it's first printing Rainbow dragon and Rainbow Dark dragon are named on it so it could be sent with prisma
It was corrected, cause rainbow dragon, rainbow dark and the new rainbow are all ultimate crystal dragons, it was a future proof errata, so all "rainbow dragon"s could be used without having to errata the card everytime
I think the most confusing thing here is that Jaden literally uses Prisma to send Rainbow Dragon in the anime, but because of the OCG text of the card (which is what the errata brings it in line with) that doesn't work

In order to clear this level you have to summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. Win this game after successfully activating Huge Revolution. Win the duel by using Destiny Board. What we are saying is that if you are gonna spotlight a card or a specific engine, you might wanna complete that engine. I've been saying back during Showdown Saturdays that the Trump cards/ Boss Monsters/Cover cards should be played at least once in the match in order to win your 2nd duel in the match

I ran a similar Rainbow Neos deck in LotD, it really is a nightmare to get the Rainbow Dragon in hand. Especially with the ruling of Fusion Conscription. You *HAVE* to draw into the Rainbow Dragon raw.
There is a version of the aqua deck that only plays around jam breeding machine...there is a continous trap that boosts tokens attacks by 1k that pairs with wetlands...is another vanilla beatdown...you should visit it, guys
Man, this brings back painful memories of WC09 on DS. One of the 4 "clone" duelists you fight in the endgame has an ice barrier deck that can make things like Cryomancer stupid high with wetlands and lock you down with dai-sojo and medium. I mean i was a stupid 11 year old at the time and if i played the game now i would probably just build monarch and crush it. WC09 was weird, a 5Ds game where you got 0 synchros outside of your starter deck until the postgame.

The "Ultimate Crystal" errata didn't happen until a couple of years ago. Back when this deck was played, "Rainbow Dragon" and "Rainbow Dark Dragon" were both specifically listed on Rainbow Neos, meaning Prisma could copy them.
While the "Ultimate Crystal" archetype designation didn't come along until later, even back in the day, there was a specific ruling that Prisma could not use Rainbow Neos as a reference to dump Rainbow Dragon or Rainbow Dark Dragon.
2010's Rainbow Neos mentioning the materials is irrelevant, as all naming clauses and effects are based on the japanese text, which at the time already said "Elemental HERO Neos + 1 "Ultimate Crystal God" monster", Rainbow Neos rules wise never named rainbow (dark) dragon as a material for king of the swamp or prisma.
I've wondered this myself with cards like Kairyu-Shin (Leviathan) and Raigeki (Thunderbolt), though I will admit I do prefer names like Performapal to Entermate personally.
You can't use King of the Swamp as a substitute for Neos because Rainbow Neos must be Fusion Summoned with its correct materials. If it didn't have that line though, then yeah, you could use King for Neos but not Rainbow Dragon.
Out of curiosity why are there not more control tools in the aqua deck? I mean killing your opponent is basically a foregone conclusion when you’re normal summoning 3k beaters and higher so load up and guarantee you get there.
@MBT When you summoned Prisma, you were actually able to use his effect and dump either Rainbow or Rainbow Dark Dragon. Since you guys were in the synchro era during the time of this episode being filmed, Rainbow Neos didn't get an errata change until WAY later. Ultimate Crystal wasn't even a thing during that time lol Thus, you could, in fact, make Rainbow Neos with Prisma.

I believe due to translation issues the rulings say you can't because in the OCG it's listed as Neos + "ultimate crystal god" monster

I don't understand why TCG Konami localizes the names of certain cards/archetypes. Why not just translate the names to EN?
I've wondered this myself with cards like Kairyu-Shin (Leviathan) and Raigeki (Thunderbolt), though I will admit I do prefer names like Performapal to Entermate personally.

You can't use King of the Swamp as a substitute for Neos because Rainbow Neos must be Fusion Summoned with its correct materials. If it didn't have that line though, then yeah, you could use King for Neos but not Rainbow Dragon.

Out of curiosity why are there not more control tools in the aqua deck? I mean killing your opponent is basically a foregone conclusion when you’re normal summoning 3k beaters and higher so load up and guarantee you get there.

@MBT When you summoned Prisma, you were actually able to use his effect and dump either Rainbow or Rainbow Dark Dragon. Since you guys were in the synchro era during the time of this episode being filmed, Rainbow Neos didn't get an errata change until WAY later. Ultimate Crystal wasn't even a thing during that time lol Thus, you could, in fact, make Rainbow Neos with Prisma.
And you also did cheat with Fusion Gate lol Only from the hand and field my guy 😂😂
King of the swamp can't actually be used for Absolute Zero. It can only replace monsters that are specifically listed as material
I played Frog Synchro during this era with Wetlands. If Cimo had Junk Synchron instead of Cryomancer, Junk Warrior can hit like 5 or 6k easily
