Tell you what pal. From a guy who’s got his own little firm himself. You come across hard working straight talking and you know your stuff. I have literally never commented on a single video or a strangers page before in my life. But after watching what you do and how you conduct your craft. I couldnt help but let you know It’s a nice change to see someone doing a brilliant job and to such a high standard. Cracking channel cracking walk throughs, well done mate I’m genuinely pleased for you I like seeing people do well who deserve it. Keep it up.
You must be the only person to give away so much information, it’s a credit to you for sharing, I’m not a builder but in the past I’ve asked builders for help in doing certain things, but they were very cagey to say, as if I was going to take their business away. So well done to you for being honest and giving this information cheers
Got to champion people who take time to do this, sharing really good information and insights. There'll be thousands of people listening and learning from you on this platform as you know, really great stuff you've been putting out.
I can only see you getting more work from your honest straight forward approach. I can’t think of any other builder who would be this transparent. Taking your time to explain everything like this will of course help people who want to build their own, but they would have probably gone down this route anyway, not everyone is capable of this or wants to so can only see you getting flooded with requests from these people which is absolutely deserved. You are one of the fastest growing channels I’ve seen so ignore the keyboard warriors, your massive success will shut them up soon enough mate. Cheers again
Fantastic post. I have managed to assemble the materials list by watching your previous posts back and forth. Worth watching this post however for the dog's antics
Thank you, William. I really enjoy your videos as well as the way you work. I am going to attempt to build a garden room spring 2021 and I will be using your material list - if I can get all of it here in Ireland. Thank you so much. God bless Brendan Walsh
I've watched a few of your videos now, finding the content really interesting and super helpful while learning and planning for my garden build. This video helped with some finer details that I may of missed while watching. Thanks again for the clear, down to earth explanations you give. Great knowledgable content once again. Cheers
Rarely comment on videos but I've been following you for a few months now and the content you provide is brilliant. Straight talking, no messing around, just quality advice and guidance. I think in this day and age you will always have idiots commenting rubbish for the sake of it. Please don't take any notice as the vast majority of people here love your videos! Keep it up and keep posting 😎👍
Don’t know why I started watching these videos I got intentions of building a timber building but after I watched the first one couldn’t stop myself watching the rest, really good to hear someone explaining things in plain English and showing closeups, hope you keep going strength to strength
Unbelievable content and information given out for free. Propper no frills straight talking instructions that even a moron like me is able to digest. Keep up the good work and I wish you all the sucess in the future!
echoing the words of so many others, hats off to you buddy. i'm an IT guy (despite starting out as a mechanical engineer), i'm ok with using hand and power tools but i've been putting off a summer house / garden office build through lack of confidence. Your videos have given me that extra push and now i have a design i'm happy with and an idea how to cost it
Amazing amount of info mate. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen so much honest quality info being given out by a tradesman on UA-cam. Keep up the good vids Definitely another subscriber here
I absolutely love your videos. Just starting one for myself. One thing I'm unsure of is my roof span is 4.8m would doubling up the 5x2 still work on this. Thanks Nico
Cheers buddy, I'm setting up my new garden room business in Kent. I love your foundation system and came up with something very similar a few years ago (I'm an Engineer), but your works even better, so thanks for that, take care, enjoy!!
Jason smith I'm a site engineer fella curious to know how you do things.. On the pile system that will does for his foundations I'd set up a Total station with retro stickers on the build then check co-ordinates after 1 or 2 months to check for subsiding
I've followed so many fantastic channels on here, but this one is my no 1 for information by a mile. Such a good job Liam and I hope that you do well out of ytube 👍👍👍
Top video, as always. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. Rest assured your downlights ARE fire rated. The protection comes from the little ring that sits between the fitting and the ceiling. In the event of a fire, this expands to stop smoke from going up into the ceiling void. Most people don't realise this is what the 'fire rated' part of the fitting is. They see that it doesn't have a can and assume it's not fire rated. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to entering the raffle for the pod! 👍
You make it look deceptively easy. Most of the hard work is getting the finishing done properly. That takes time and skill to achieve a good result. This is not a DIY project for one person. I hope no one tries it alone. It takes a team. Anyway thanks for sharing. Your timing is excellent with covid-19 and people needing a home office to work from.
Mate I’m keen to build my own little garden office. Love your videos and the info you provide. Keep up the good work. If I could afford it, Id have you build it for me but think I’ll have to give it a bash myself over time 🤘🏼
Cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and giving out such valuable info. You seem to work like a pro and that comes across when your telling everyone how it is. It's great, love your confidence and skill. My second man cave shall begin this summer, I'll try make it look as good as one of yours, only issue I'll have is budget for doors and windows, but ill figure something out! Keep at it brer! And thanks!
@@thegardenroomguru no worries i rarely post on UA-cam but your stuff is excellent. Possably the best builder on UA-cam! If your ever in Scotland and need a joiner or labourer give me a shout, free labour for yourself 😎
Legend, love watching your vids. I found you on UA-cam just by chance, I’m planning to build a pub in my garden. Your vids have directed me go in the right direction to build it properly. Keep up the good work.
I built a 5x3 shed last year without the benefit of your instruction. So now I’m watching these saying: “Oh. Should have done that.” “Oh. That’s how it’s done”. “Oh. You straighten the walls with string before you nail them down”. That shed’s a bit wonky, but the garden office won’t be. Fantastic videos, thank you so much for your time. (I know you now outsource, but a doors and windows video would be very helpful).
Not sure why people would leave negative comments, your vids have inspired me to build my own garden room. Fantastic videos, not sure of many other companies basically telling you how to do there job and all for free! Thanks again, realise this is an old video but will definitely be subscribing and watching the rest!
Great explanation of materials and where you get them . I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now and can’t wait to do my own garden room , just waiting on some money coming through from the sale of my dads house . I’m like a kid at Xmas when I get a notification about a video of yours and can’t wait for a cedar wood video to be uploaded. Keep uploading those videos mate they’re brilliant 👍
On my way home I was thinking to myself "I must send you a request for a breakdown of materials used". Get home, pick up my tablet and......Blam! 👊🏿 there it is! Happy days! Although I'm now paranoid about my thoughts being tapped up by Google........thought only my misses had that ability 🤔
Definitely interested in buying some of your ground fixing bolts with screws, as it would save me the hassle of getting all the bits sorted. I’m not far from Leeds, so would probably be able to pick them up as well.
Thanks for another great video and naming your suppliers. To be honest I'm surprised you don't mention your own company name more. I know some can overdo it, but on many of your videos there's nothing at all. Keep up the great work though, you and your team 👍
Great video as usual, I am gaining so much good info from you, I emailed you and you responded to my question instantly, if your ever back in North Ferriby give me a shout as I would be proud to buy you a beer or five. Well done and keep it up pal.
Somehow came across you a week or so ago! I don’t use your threaded bar technique but glad to see I use many of the same techniques that you use! You seem a top bloke! Quality workmanship! Any Tips on Taming a Weimaraner 🐶 🤣🤣😂

Great informative video! Can you give us some detail on the cedar you tend to use? Spec? Dimensions? Where do you get it from? Thanks.
