Thanks so much for your videos! I'm currently planning my own build, and yours and Ali Dymock's channels have been invaluable for showing how to do everything properly. Hope that as well as giving us DIYers a lot of inspiration they also help you grow your business. Looking forward to the next one!
To watch a proper gaffa running shit, show those yanks a UK relevant version of productivity and drive, very few people putting out vids like these, I'd love to work for you mate. When you're all committed to a well led project run by a good captain it's such a good crack. Keep it up love watching these vids.
[excellent craftsmen creating unbelievable garden rooms, good on you all, keep it up. These videos are very informative whilst the teams still finding time to have a laugh. Best garden rooms i've seen love watching them .]

You remind me of my gaffer when I was an apprentice lol I work in structural engineering now but reminded of those brilliant days! Excellent videos and work!
Watching your series of videos is like serving an apprenticeship. Everything covered in such detail. Sometimes going over the video again as fast talking isn’t always easy to catch, have a word with your sound engineer 😁. Your technical dept however absolutely spot on. I need to get out more. New project starting soon👏.
Amazing work gents, I can say with real confidence that you do one of the best, if not the best, garden room builds on all of UA-cam. I have exhausted this site of all Shed/Outbuilding/Garden office content on here. You started uploading a week ago and it came up straight away recommended by UA-cam and its the best I've seen. Considering quitting my job to work for you! Quality stuff.
Have watched all your videos over the last couple of days as I am planning on building my own soon. Love the speed of the videos and the practical tips, would like if you could do some more about the finishing details and any tricky bits. Great to see someone take pride in their work, looks like a really good product.
Good videos and super informative. I noticed that you don't make the side wall with a sloping top plate and with varying length wall timbers.? What do you do with the roof joists at the front and back to account for the 85mm fall?
Great video and explanations. Gives me the confidence to go ahead and try myself and can re-check your videos for reference.....Cheers, much appreciated
I’d fix the sole plate for the stud walls direct to the timber ring beam, instead of having a material like Weyroc inbetween due to its compressibility & moisture movement issues. But like the look of the finished products in your videos.
Brill videos. Love the builds. If you want an even speedier view and watch the gaffer go zoom zoom fast, click the setting and play it at +2 speed. ;) Or alternatively play it at slower speed. Looking forward to the next installment.
Love the build i want to build a garden room to incorporate a gym and Sauna 2 questions to get around the height restriction of 2.5 mtr i have a sloping garden 1. Can i dig down say 300 mm from the highest point then work from there to get my internal height of approx 2.3 As i want a gym would i need larger rods, plate washers and channel if so that's not a problem as i am a steel fabricator and can access materials.
Hi Peter. I’m currently building a garden gym and like you had a slope from my boundary fence to my lawn level. In my case it was 350mm and I dug down level to lawn. Essentially that’s given me a max height of 2850mm under permitted development. A word of warning - my gym is not going to be large, but the volume of soil I needed to shovel to level down to the lawn was insane! My back is still recovering several weeks later and the local skip company did well out of me. It’s very deceiving when initially eyeballing.
Love the video! Love the units you make, proper job! Plus, love that the chaps watching the boss smash it out will now have to clean all the saw dust off the grass from the choppy!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 a vac may have helped? What a mess lol
Sorry if this question is dumb! Now you don't use firrings, but rather a higher front wall to get the pitch on the roof: is there no need to cut birds mouths due to the shallowness of the pitch? The way you plumb the walls is great, but I'm building my posh shed/motorcycle garage like this but on a concrete base and bolting the base plates to a brick course, what's my best bet to try square/plumb them - given I can't tack all those braces to the floor??? Thanks - great vids, been watching lots of them.
like others have said, you're awesome to watch! you don't fuck about and its clear to see you're very professional and passionate about your work, love it! i did have to put some ear defenders in as you speak quite loudly but i can let that slide! haha keep up the good work.
Love the videos. Love the drive and enthusiasm. I'm currently building mine own and now tweaked it by watching your videos. A double batten and cedar tutorial would be great if you have the time. 75mm drop in roof silly question but the end of joists sitting over end would they sit slightly angled due to the incline? Do you put anything in the gap if there is one. Sorry for the amateur question boys
By coincidence I'm actually about to build a 5 x 3.5 mtr garden room. We're preparing the garden as we speak . I'm building on a concrete base. Have you any advice you can give me. Many Thanks. Maurice..
Enjoying your videos- thanks! Just about to start my own garden room and learning a lot from your videos. Would you do bifold installation video? Be interested to see how you go about it and how your internal floor sits against the frame, etc- do you ever make them flush? Cheers, Liam
We build timber frames on a bigger scale but we also build small out buildings too and we ply on the floor , square on the panels and flush cut the windows out. Goes up square , level every time.
We’ve recently started doing this as the last few needed to be built and clad on the floor before standing up as they are so tight to the boundary. Your right, plum and square when stood up! Well be using this in the future as it’s quicker too
Impressive. But would an apprentice absorb anything helpful? The bloke is so full of himself he doesn't explain his thought process. Oh, yea obviously done off camera.
Hi William, finding the videos both educational and entertaining! Just a quick question, where do you get the steel box section from as was going to used wood to span a 2400mm gap for Upvc french doors but think steel will be better? Aslo is it rated to the job (ie the weight of the roof?). Regards Mike
mike wells we get it from a steel stockholders in Leeds, probably over kill, but the roof isn’t going anywhere then, it’s a 160x80 hollow section, it’s not a stock item but they get it in the next day so must be readily available I guess,

I'm building a shed/ workshop same size. I'd planned on using 3x2 for walls noticed yours are bigger should I increase?
If you ever have funding page I'll send you something because you are informative, helpful and all round made me want to try build my own. Thx

I like the way you tell the lad on the camera where to point it🤣

Is that wall frame wood treated or not??
What 2 equal lengths does the stud shelf need to be to support the 160mm x 80mm steel?
200mm each side, double stud
Legend you should be on the TV👍
It may be sooner than you think 🤞😬
what type of wood is it you use for the studs, CLS, Treated Pine...
cls mate
Hi mate I'm in UK I've tyveked outside and I'll be having a cold roof system .do I need vapour barrier non internal walls .
How do you stop rodents getting in the floor structure
hi just wondering where you get the 22mm egger protect boards from?
I think you can get it from Travis Perkins if you’re in the UK.
Could you join 2 6x2 over the bi folds and do away with the steel. Then use 4 x 2 for the front wall.
You could on a private build but I prefer a steel so I get no comeback
Do you think a lintel is still required if the opening is only 1800 for some French doors?
double timber bolted together mate
You can see why he loaded a nail into his own hand. Hit the middle peddle lad 😂
What size cladding do u guys use ?
Is the ceiling sloped ?

Or long ?
Double battons and 190 cill
Double batten if your doing vertical cladding. Can do single if the cladding is horizontal. It’s so water and moisture can travel out and not collect
skaterguy52 we double anyway, allows air flow
Alright mate
