Fantastic review. I just beat today and clocked in at 56 hours. I would sum this game up as beautiful. The visuals were beautiful, the story was beautiful. At it's heart it's about fatherhood. The gameplay was intricate, and had a huge learning curve but it was worth it. I think some people just don't have the patience for it, and that's fine. There's always call of duty for those people. I think another problem is that the game is way too ahead of it's time, so people don't know how to digest it. Could kojima have made a more accessible game for mass audiences? Yeah, but I'm so happy he didn't. There is no other game like death stranding. 9.5/10

The 1st critique on Death Stranding that I almost 100% agree with, good job. A truly fantastic game, like no other. On a negative note; the things that pissed me off was one mission quite far into the game, order 432, you had to fetch a large amount of ceramics right next to Lake Knot City but you couldn't scale the cliffs, as if there was an invisible wall. Wouldn't even let you put a ladder up. I thought it was a glitch but no, it was forcing me to take a long route round, which I never managed to do. Edit: a-ha, I've found a secret tunnel to get the ceramics, happy days
I love how this game quietly pays homage to Metal Gear Solid. Sam alone gives off an Ocelot Vibe. The way he is born. The similarities to his father's history, and the SORROW. That little gun pose in the mirror. He's not voiced by an former Ocelot, but his antagonist is voiced by one. Too many little coinsdences.
Baffling how people call it simply a dull walking sim. It’s one of the most complex system-driven games out there. They made traversal the real conflict of the game and challenging, it subverts open world conventions where traversal is routine and the meat is at specific points that trigger the quests.
@John masterpiece it is. The story is not a masterpiece but still very good. The games message is connected beetwen the story and the gameplay. Sam is isolated, and when you almost never meet anyone and have to walk around in a ruined country you feel lonely yourself but when you see that other players who go through the same maybe makes a helpful bridge og path, you get reminded that your not alone. And over the story of the game, Sam reconnect with others and find his place in the world. And this is also connected to the real world. More and more people are getting lonely, and this game shows that we need to take care of each other. The gameplay while simple, still gives you the feeling of heaviness. Each package you take with you will affect your journey. This game is unlike any other, and Kojima has created a large and intresting world, and the great thing about it is that there will probably not be any sequels either. This is a gift to gamers. A real slap in the face to EA and Activision. A masterpiece more important now than it's ever before.
The game is good because it is relaxing, let’s you traverse a beautiful made world, has an engaging story, its different and makes you feel accomplished.

“Yes, this is a game that is entirely fetch quests. That’s the genius part.” Really needed someone to say this. Unbelievable how complex and fun they made it.
What's really unbelievable is the lengths that fanboys will go to in order to justify this as a brilliant masterpiece, rather than admit that this overly-convoluted, bloated hunk-of-shit game is merely 'okay' at best. This is definitive proof that Kojima is an overrated, pretentious prick with a transparent desperation to be recognized as the penultimate visionary artist, when instead, in all actuality, he's nothing more than a sorry-ass wannabe hack that's never going to actually have anything legitimately, originally interesting, intelligent, or unique to say. He just keeps regurgitating and spewing out the same retarded bullshit over and over, that he stole from someone else that said it WAY before he did. Oh yeah, and I actually LIKED the game. However, it's full of so many ridiculous plot-holes, inconsistencies, and flat-out bullshit mechanics that make the game get progressively worse the further that you get into it by making every obstacle almost meaningless. Again, I truly liked the game, but it's NOWHERE near a masterpiece in any way/shape/form whatsoever. Stop throwing out your backs and trying to break your spines whilst bending over backwards to constantly lick the crust from Kojima's dusty butthole. It's fucking pathetic. Have some fucking self-respect.
I was missing my Maj0r Lee Non-Fucking-Star-Wars content so much that I went back two days ago and watched the factorio video, then bought it, and that's all I've done until today. Once I've flown my factory dude to mars or whatever, I expect I'll be getting this now too.
Great review by someone who actually took the time to play the game. Death stranding doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. Most negative reviews are from people who didn’t play the game properly. Like I’ve seen youtubers stacking way to many packages then get mad when they’re character falls, trying to drive a motorcycle over a fucking mountain🤦🏽♂️ etc etc.

My free shipping is still being honored.

Loved this game, took me a while to love it, you have to play it for days/weeks and the love grows, keep the faith, 1/3rd game, 1/3rd a movie/story, 1/3rd purely digital art
Definitely the best gameplay I’ve ever had was brutally, one by one, installing a zip line express across the mountain region, like I was a pioneer conquering new land and taming it, discovering weird ruins and JUST BARELY making it to the next outposts. The end of my conquests usually ended in me skating down the mountain on my hover skateboard. 👍
The people that hate or keep on hating on this game must have no appreciation for art, or story telling. It's a game where you'll discover more about YOU as a player as well as the story. The game is beautiful I never played any MGS games but the trailer to this game 4 years ago caught my attention and been hooked ever since. From the scenery to the soundtrack there's so many things to enjoy from this game. Already half way thru my second playthrough and loving it like day one.

Great video man!! This was genuinely funny. I'm actually surprised because most channels I ever come across are pure _cancerous-cringe-rape-aids._ and you're completely right about death stranding, it's great.
@John that's the biggest pile of rubbish I've heard in a while. It is a divisive game yes. It may not appeal to those who want constant action and fantasy in their games. But it is a goddamn masterpiece and Kojima pushed the Industry forward
@John that's why it turned one of the most hated objectives- fetch quests into one of the most fun gameplay loops right. Ensuring your cargos safe, preparing for the journey and the story is just exceptional . And then low roars beautiful music tops it all. Truly a masterpiece
@John imo one reason the game is truly so special is how fetch quests are made infinitely more interesting and fun due to the ever changing terrain, mules ,homo demens, BTs and structures left by others. A very special experience. In every other game fetch quests feel lame and boring but here it's just so addictive
I just finished the main story and am still playing with 72 hours in. I just got the best laugh after seeing random mushrooms on the ground from other players and watching this to realize it’s where other players have pissed. This game is priceless.

Haven't beaten the game yet but I only started playing it during this pandemic. And with what's happening right now, this game really gets to me. ♥️ Yeah! Very addicting! Having to skip things can be annoying. But the game mechanics and how the story unfolds (may it be with the side quests, reading email and interviews, or the actual cutscenes) is really really satisfying. 🤯 You'll just want to know and understand what happens next. Ya'll smash that like button! 👍
I got this game from Gamefly to try it out, just because of the negative reviews and you know what? I'm glad I got it and played it... This game was unique and great... the fight with higs was a reference to street fighter and similar arcade games. And at the same time more importantly a reference to the boos fight in mgs4 between solid snake and ocelot(liquid snake), that was also paying homage to the arcade era games :) it's an ester egg

When Maj0r Lee uploads im a happy man
Great review by someone who actually took the time to play the game.
Dude I really wanted to buy this game now and probably still will, but thank you for the laugh and brutal honesty. Just subbed and loving your videos! 🤙🏻🔥
Love the way u broke down this game bro!!! I always watch those 5 6 min reviews and will never again!!! I love this type of game and watching those "mainstream" reviews I never got the idea of yhe game play like u explained it. They all focused on the negative. But the negative was based on causentheybwerent playing the game right. Like u said. Good job bro!! Subscribed!!
You deserve more views, this review just awesomely good. 👌
Dude you just got a new subscriber... Just love it...I'm glad you like the game as I did. I'm also glad that I don't have a granular penis!!!! Lmao. Please keep the good work.
I can't believe I hadn't seen this video! I love it. Subscribed.
I stopped and found this channel today and watched the starfield video. I just got to say, I really appreciate your reviews for games the community completely shat on. I enjoyed starfield, cyberpunk, I definitely NEED to play death stranding. Thank you.
👍👍👍Excellent review and video major lee, thumbs up!!!👍👍👍
I just ordered Death Stranding from Amazon and it was supposed to be delivered to me this Sunday. I chose that day because it was a free shipping option. I just checked my email and it said it will be delivered tomorrow. I was so excited that my expected delivery will arrive 5 days early. I also don't have pay anything either. My free shipping is still being honored.
Everything u just said makes me even more excited to play it tommarow and for 34$ u cant go wrong thanks for all the info I'm definly subscribing hard to find chanels that don't bitch about everything
Loved this game, took me a while to love it, you have to play it for days/weeks and the love grows, keep the faith, 1/3rd game, 1/3rd a movie/story, 1/3rd purely digital art
Excellent review. Describes this game and the people that love it or hate it perfectly.
I'm a huge fan of the this game... Nothing else like this out there. This made me lol. Sub from me hahaha
i love these kinds of videos. Please never stop making them.
Love this review I just wish you didn’t show any footage from after chapter 3!
„Coming next: The truth about toe sucking“ xD Fantastic! I mean „Fan-toe-stic!“
Love this channel, has me in stitches 😂
I died watching this LMAO I just started this game and love its originality. Bro, keep this shit up you’re funny as hell.
I can't wait for it to come out for PC, really excited for it
The people that hate or keep on hating on this game must have no appreciation for art, or story telling.
Most of games theme that center around the Player are hated
Just look at undertale everybody love the quarky and cartoonish world but very few talk about the theme of fandoms and obsession
@@MechanicWolf85 and people blame developers and studios for not delivering "Good games" it's not them it's the player base that does not wanna understand a game in a deeper level look at Hellblade Sunuas sacrifice very underrated game
This review is so well made. Need more views
Are you going to make a video of The Rise of Skywalker?
No ,that was an ungodly abomination. We want this reviewer to remain sane, yeah ?
his last jedi video made me happy terraria otherworld was cancelled
@@eval_is_evil Such weakness. What is you're real name?

26 mins well spents with watching this review. Great job!!!
This review is BANG-IN. I dont enjoy the game. But I LIKE this video.
Great video man!! This was genuinely funny. I'm actually surprised because most channels I ever come across are pure _cancerous-cringe-rape-aids._ and you're completely right about death stranding, it's great.
God damn, why is this review so good? Oh, I have a guess. Cause you made it!
It is a masterpiece. It might not be for everyone but that doesn't stop it from being a masterpiece
@John most perfect scores of 2019 dude. Also 3 awards at tga. Aaaaand from my experience through 2 playthroughs, it is a masterpiece
@John and 60 hours?? Dude the main campaign was 30 hours. What are you talking about?
Thanks to this review I’m going to play this game
16:36 Ha! Jokes on you old man, you won’t receive your life saving meds anymore.
This channel is so underrated
Now that is a fucking review , I need this game in my life , subbed
Throwing my doo doo at people was always my biggest dream.
@Maj0r Lee 10:52 You are hilarious my friend. You put a lot in your videos, thank you man.
I think we should be thanking ol' Joel for that one!
I just finished the main story and am still playing with 72 hours in. I just got the best laugh after seeing random mushrooms on the ground from other players and watching this to realize it’s where other players have pissed. This game is priceless.
"it's important to know that this is one of those games that you spend many hours with a premature baby strapped to your chest"
😂 When he said that, I had to fight off the urge to find out what OTHER games let you do this. As a new father of a 2yr old, I agree w/ Major… I love that lil piece of shit!
Loved the story line and my favorite thing to do in this game is to replay the nightmares of ww1, ww2 and vietnam its an awesome gameplay... This game was so good that it got my wife hooked on it and she doesn't even play video games... Lol!
Bruh - I was one of those guys that felt Hideo dropped the ball man....10 months later after picking up where I left off (Chapter 2) I decided to push through....holy shit, man....just holy fucking shit.
Proud owner of the Collector's Edition, GOTY 2019 in my eyes~
Same here...just the goty part
are you filipino
You've convinced me to give this game another chance!
the fight with higs was a reference to street fighter and similar arcade games. And at the same time more importantly a reference to the boos fight in mgs4 between solid snake and ocelot(liquid snake), that was also paying homage to the arcade era games :) it's an ester egg
the cryptobiote eating during that higs fight a direct reference to them injecting themselves and each-other in mgs4 fight to heal
Him Saying "This Game Should Be Very Buggy" Shows how much almost every Open world game is a fucking mess lmfao
Sad I needed someone to vocally say that for me to have that sink in.
How does the “shared world” work if you’re just buying the game now? Will there be bridges and roads everywhere by this point?
Death Stranding is Sony's answer to Animal Crossing.
God your making me want to do another playthrough! I already have a platinum trophy. Jesus this game is addicting
