Much respect on the work truck/personal truck I own a plumbing company and I’m in the same situation. I drive a brand new truck that stays looking brand new Heather plumber screw with me all the time about how clean all my stuff is all it takes is a little time and effort to stay clean.
I might go for the metal oil filter housings in the future but I wounded if it really makes a difference because the gasket will still go bad regardless. I know that over torquing the plastic one can make them leak, I guess you’d never have to replace the housing if it was metal, just the gasket then
Lol bro the first look you had looking at the bread was like idk about this bread and then you took a bite and your taste buds said awwww sooooo good. Lol
NEVER Ever turn down Fry Bread ! That's a great customer ! Aho ! By the By, The gloves are a hindereance, Use the Goop hand cleaner with pumice and dry wash your hands and use a papertowel to wipe them off. No worries and you did a fantastic job Matt !
I've done this on an 2011 jeep grand cherokee 3.6l and you should have bought the upgraded version of this part where everything is aluminum other then the cap cause this is also the oil cooler and is an faulty design! Dorman and other companies make upgraded versions. Good video brother 👍
Bro, why didn’t you get the all metal oil cooler?? Those things are SO PRONE to failure. Wish you would have given him the better option. Maybe you did but he bought his own parts. Just saying bro.
As the weather gets hotter than bajesus man for your sake and personal comfort I hope you eventually get a air conditioned/ heated garage to work out of dude. You freaking deserve to be successful and comfortable at the same time.
Don't need to justify staying clean and using gloves! Doesn't make you less of a man. All those chemicals are bad for you - seeping into your skin and shit. Fuck all that. Gloves all day.
As soon as i heard "Blue Devil" i would have run the F out of there. You know when a customer tries that "magic bottle" they are too cheap to get the repair done right the first time. Later Charger boi!!!
That’s how you have zero customers 🤣 just because the guys uneducated on how to properly repair and tried something off the shelf doesn’t mean you need to run away with your tail between your legs. You’re the mechanic. Educated the customer.
@@PlattyZach The damage that could and probably will be caused by that product leaves the mechanic OPEN to additional problems that he did not create. Smart mechanics don't work on vehicles that destroy them with these products.
Mopar or no car guy made a career outta those junk Chrysler oil filter adaptor jobs. Haven't seen his videos for awhile? Maybe Chrysler complained about the bad press or maybe I got tired of seeing the same repairs 15 days a month and 🚫ed his channel.
I'm with both of you being hard of hearing or understanding what others say but just activate CC (closed caption) at the top right of the video and you'll be good, a lot of peoples videos don't offer this option on theirs, but Matthew's videos do. 👍
Fry bread after work is always choice. Hell yea
Milwaukee sponser this man! ⚒️
You should have bought the dorman kit. It is made of aluminum. That one will warp, due to being plastic.
Never know if they're only repairing to sell. So they do things cheap
I was just about to say that. The plastic one's just going to break again in 80k Miles or more depending on how much they drive.
The aluminum one would have been better
I like you showing the basic step by steps. Nice job!

I just did one of these, orileys has a all metal version for 40 bucks more
Plastic and lots of heat and cold equals brake down .
I always recommend the aluminum one unless they want me to replace it again down the line. And I let them know it will eventually leak again.
if getting power for fans/tools is a frequent issue a solar battery charger & an inverter in the truck might be something to look into.
I do these all day great video bro

Dorman has an updated all metal one.
Bannock for the win!!
Good thing ya got the whole thing those coolers are notorious for leaking
FRY BREAD! Oh damn.
That thumbs up! Lol😂😂😂😂
I love those kind of clips. Funny as hell and most people don’t get it
Lol bro the first look you had looking at the bread was like idk about this bread and then you took a bite and your taste buds said awwww sooooo good. Lol
Just got blessed with some frybread! Yiiih lol Right On!
Get a rechargeable neck fan...I use mine every day.

Venom steel gloves are the 💩 but they’re kinda pricey but hey you get what you pay for

The more I see the somada the more I want it! Might just order it now
Back of your truck looks like inside of my service van
Love the taste reaction
I want some!
You need to double the gloves then they last
I though the plastic housing was redesigned to be metal oil filter housing?
@mathew Parker, Get venom gloves I use them a lot and they do rip but hard to get them to that point
Has to b hot that fry bread.
Yum fry bread

Damn you gotta take off the whole intake manifold just to change half of the plugs and coils?😂😅
What’s your hobbies outside of work?
Dirty gloves in the customers car but not mine 😂
My 17 ram has the same
Thing and the plastics will always break
There should be 3 brackets holding the upper intake plenem
Also I recommend using masking tape to cover your cylinder head ports. Dont want any screws falling down there 😃

That defeats the whole mobil mechanic thing.
But I have seen some guys have pop up tents they put around the cars and they have medium size shop fans

do you ever service a toyota or honda
Do you still work out
That’s going to leak again the plastic design is terrible, the metal oil cooler is better

He realized his mistake and called to get it done right. What are you gonna do?
